The vivo T5 Pro has the stronger stated display specification and a named Snapdragon processor; the realme 16T pairs a large battery with portrait- and selfie-focused camera features. Both list high-refresh-rate displays and substantial batteries, but the available specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer, takes better photos, or performs better in everyday use. Price comparisons also need to use live listings for the same memory configuration.

Which phone has the better display and processor?
vivo T5 Pro: more detail on paper
vivo specifies a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 2800 × 1260 resolution and refresh rates up to 144Hz, along with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. That makes the T5 Pro the more clearly specified choice for someone prioritizing screen resolution and a named chipset.
realme 16T: high refresh rate, fewer confirmed details
realme describes the 16T’s screen as a 6.8-inch, 144Hz sunlight display and mentions a 6nm chipset with GT Boost Engine. The retrieved official page does not identify the panel type, resolution, or exact processor model, so those details should not be inferred from secondary snippets.

- Includes a high-definition 9H screen protector made from 9H-hardness tempered glass, which effectively resists everyday scuffs, key scratches and accidental knocks, keeping your screen looking as good as new for years to come
- Military-grade drop protection: a hard PC back panel and soft TPU frame combined with shock-absorbing air cushions, plus raised edges to protect the screen and camera lens, providing robust defence against drops, knocks and everyday wear and tear.
- Smooth sliding, secure latching: Precision runners + anti-loosening latches ensure smooth, jam-free sliding and a secure, spring-loaded lock that won’t pop open, making them durable and long-lasting.
- Precise cut-outs, slim and non-slip: Full-featured, precise cut-outs that do not interfere with charging or photography; slim with a textured finish for a non-slip grip, portable and not bulky.
- Innovative 2-in-1 sliding cover and stand: the sliding lens cover doubles as a sturdy folding stand; slide it open to protect against scratches and dust, and close it to instantly transform it into a viewing stand, leaving your hands free for binge-watching or video calls
Neither set of specifications establishes real-world speed, gaming stability, brightness in a particular setting, or image quality. Those require testing beyond the figures listed by the manufacturers.
Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers do—and do not—say
The vivo T5 Pro lists a 9020mAh battery and 90W charging; the realme 16T lists 8000mAh and 45W. On stated capacity and charging wattage, vivo leads both comparisons. Capacity alone does not predict how long a phone will last: display settings, signal strength, apps, and other usage affect runtime, and the figures are not a head-to-head battery test.

realme also makes a battery-health claim described as theoretical and based on lab data under normal-temperature assumptions. Treat that as a manufacturer qualification, not a guarantee of a particular lifespan. Its product page also notes that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. vivo lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main rear camera, a 2MP bokeh camera, and a 32MP front camera. realme lists a 50MP Sony IMX852 AI camera and emphasizes selfie-mirror and portrait features. The model names and megapixel counts describe hardware or marketed features; they do not establish which phone produces better photos. A fair verdict would require comparable sample images and testing across lighting, portraits, and front-camera use.

Water and dust resistance ratings
vivo specifies IP68 and IP69, while realme lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K and qualifies its use of “Pro” wording on the product page. Ratings refer to defined resistance conditions; they are not a promise that every exposure is safe. In particular, do not treat a resistance rating as warranty coverage for liquid damage.
Price difference: check live listings by configuration
The vivo India store showed ₹41,999 for the T5 Pro 8GB+128GB configuration and ₹46,999 for a displayed 8GB+256GB listing when retrieved on October 7, 2026. These are retrieved store prices, not durable MSRP claims. The official realme product page did not expose a verified current price in the retrieved results, so a reliable current price gap cannot be calculated from these figures.

A third-party comparison listing reported Amazon price snapshots, including ₹37,290 for vivo and ₹28,999 for realme, but its displayed values varied across retrieved versions. Those snapshots are not stable current prices and should not be compared as though they were captured at the same time or for matching configurations. Check the vivo India Store listing and realme’s official product page for live availability, then compare the same RAM and storage variant.
Which should you choose?
- Consider the vivo T5 Pro if you prioritize its specified 2800 × 1260 AMOLED display, up-to-144Hz refresh rate, named Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, or higher stated battery and charging figures.
- Consider the realme 16T if its battery capacity, 45W charging, or selfie-mirror and portrait features suit your needs, and its verified live price makes sense for the configuration you want.
- Compare current value carefully: check the same storage and memory configuration on the same date. A price from one store or snapshot should not be treated as a guaranteed price elsewhere.
This is a specification-based comparison, not a controlled performance, camera, or battery test. Manufacturer specifications can change; check the product listings for the version and availability in your market.
