A stated television range is only a starting point: your TV must also fit the mount’s VESA pattern and remain below its weight limit, using the television’s weight without its removable stand where the manual specifies that measurement.

These are not interchangeable specifications. For example, the LCD3039BLK and LCD4103BLK share the 220 lb rating and 875 × 470 mm VESA maximum, but one is described as a tilt mount while the other adds swivel and up to 515 mm of extension. Conversely, the LCD4097BLK reaches a wider 800 × 400 mm VESA pattern and 180-degree swivel but has a lower stated load limit.

Start with compatibility, not the advertised screen size
1. Check the television’s actual weight
Find the TV’s installation specification in its manual or manufacturer support page. Use the weight of the display as it will hang on the wall; remove the tabletop stand if the TV manual lists a separate stand weight. The mount’s maximum is a ceiling, not a target. A 132 lb television should not be assigned to a mount whose published limit is 132 lb unless the installation instructions explicitly permit that configuration and every other requirement is met; a safety margin is sensible, especially when an arm is extended.
TygerClaw’s published limits range from 66 lb on the LCD43909BLK to 220 lb (100 kg) on the LCD3039BLK and LCD4103BLK. The LCD4097BLK is listed at 132 lb (60 kg), while the LCD3485BLK is listed at 77 lb. Do not infer a load rating from a similar-looking bracket or from another TygerClaw model.
2. Measure the VESA hole pattern
VESA is the horizontal-by-vertical spacing, in millimetres, between the threaded mounting holes on the rear of the TV. A TV can fall within a mount’s advertised diagonal range and still be incompatible if its hole spacing exceeds the bracket’s maximum or does not align with the supplied hardware. Measure centre-to-centre horizontally and vertically, or copy the exact pattern from the TV manual.
- The LCD4097BLK lists support up to 800 × 400 mm.
- The LCD3039BLK and LCD4103BLK list up to 875 × 470 mm.
- The LCD43909BLK lists up to 400 × 400 mm.
- The LCD3485BLK lists up to 600 × 538 mm.
“Up to” describes the outer limit of the bracket’s stated range; it does not confirm every intermediate hole layout, screw diameter or screw length. Check the mount’s hardware chart and the TV manual before tightening anything.
3. Confirm clearance behind the TV
Measure the location of the threaded holes relative to the TV’s back panel, cable sockets and any power brick. A very shallow tilt bracket can press against a rear-facing connector, while an articulated model needs room for its arms to fold and extend. The published extension figures—440 mm for the LCD4097BLK, 515 mm for the LCD4103BLK and 465 mm for the LCD43909BLK—describe how far the mount can project according to the product pages; they do not guarantee clearance from a particular wall, cabinet or cable bend.

Choose movement that matches the room
When a tilt mount is enough
A tilt design is appropriate when the screen is centred on one seating area and you mainly need to aim it downward from a high position or reduce reflections. The LCD3039BLK is the simplest large-screen example: it lists −15° to +15° tilt, a 220 lb (100 kg) capacity and support for most 40–83-inch TVs. There is no articulated-arm or swivel claim on its product page, so plan on a comparatively fixed wall position.
The LCD4103BLK also lists −15° to +15° tilt but adds −45° to +45° swivel and up to 515 mm of extension. That combination suits a heavy screen that sometimes needs to angle toward an adjacent chair, dining area or open-plan space. Its stated 42–70-inch range is narrower than the LCD3039BLK’s, so check both the diagonal and the VESA/weight requirements.

When full motion is worthwhile
Full motion earns its space when viewers sit off-centre, the TV must swing away from a wall, or you need access behind the display. The LCD4097BLK is listed for most 42–83-inch flat-panel TVs up to 132 lb (60 kg), with up to 180° swivel, −12° to 0° tilt and 440 mm of extension. Its broad swivel claim can help in a corner or open room, but an extended arm creates more leverage on the wall and should be installed exactly as the manual specifies.
The smaller LCD43909BLK provides a similar articulated concept for a different load class: 32–60-inch TVs up to 66 lb, pan up to 45° left or right, tilt from +2° to −12° and extension up to 465 mm. It is not a substitute for the LCD4097BLK merely because both extend from the wall; their stated weight, VESA and movement limits differ substantially.
When pull-down is the reason to buy
The LCD3485BLK is described specifically for above-mantel mounting. Its gas-spring mechanism is intended to let the screen pull down from a high position, and the page mentions built-in cable management. TygerClaw describes the design as offering “smooth and effortless movement,” but that is vendor copy rather than an independently measured result. The page also gives two screen ranges—43–73 inches in its main description and 43–70 inches in a feature bullet. Because those statements conflict, confirm the current manual or ask TygerClaw support for the exact supported range and pull-down travel before ordering.

Detailed model guide
LCD4097BLK: the broad full-motion option
The LCD4097BLK is the most expansive full-motion example in this group by stated diagonal range. TygerClaw lists it for most 42–83-inch flat-panel TVs, up to 132 lb (60 kg), with VESA compatibility up to 800 × 400 mm. Its tilt range is −12° to 0°, swivel is up to 180°, and extension is up to 440 mm. The manufacturer also says its articulated arm allows movement up to 440 mm from the wall and mentions a locking mechanism for installation; those are product-page claims, not independent usability findings.
Choose it when your TV’s VESA pattern fits, its weight is comfortably below 132 lb, and the room genuinely benefits from wide side-to-side movement. If the screen will remain flat and centred, a tilt model may avoid paying for articulation you will not use. If the TV is heavier than 132 lb or uses a VESA layout beyond 800 × 400 mm, this model is not an appropriate match regardless of its 83-inch headline range.
LCD3039BLK: high capacity with tilt adjustment
The LCD3039BLK is listed for most 40–83-inch TVs up to 220 lb (100 kg), with VESA support up to 875 × 470 mm and tilt from −15° to +15°. Its published description does not specify swivel or extension. That makes it a logical specification-led choice for a large, heavy television mounted where the horizontal viewing direction is already correct—such as a centred sofa-and-TV arrangement.
Because the load rating is high, do not skip the wall and fastener requirements in the installation instructions. The 220 lb figure applies to the mount’s stated product specification; it does not certify every wall material, stud spacing or anchor combination.
LCD4103BLK: heavy-duty tilt, swivel and extension
The LCD4103BLK combines the 220 lb (100 kg) maximum and 875 × 470 mm VESA limit listed for the LCD3039BLK with more movement. TygerClaw states −15° to +15° tilt, −45° to +45° swivel and up to 515 mm extension for most 42–70-inch TVs. It is the more versatile specification when a large screen must move toward a side seat or clear a cabinet, but the 70-inch upper range means it is not the automatic choice for an 80-inch display.

Measure the fully extended path before drilling. A 515 mm projection can intersect a doorway, window trim or adjacent cabinet even when the folded mount fits behind the screen.
LCD43909BLK: compact articulation for lighter sets
The LCD43909BLK targets 32–60-inch televisions up to 66 lb. Its page lists VESA up to 400 × 400 mm, extension up to 465 mm, pan up to 45° in either direction and tilt from +2° to −12°. A Home Depot Canada listing says hardware is included and gives a one-year warranty, but package contents and warranty terms can vary by region and current listing, so verify those details for the exact item you receive.
This model fits a bedroom, office or smaller living-room screen when the TV’s weight and hole pattern stay within those limits. It is not suitable for a heavier 60-inch set simply because the diagonal falls at the upper edge of the stated range.
LCD3485BLK: specialized above-mantel pull-down
The LCD3485BLK lists a 77 lb maximum and VESA support up to 600 × 538 mm. Its defining feature is the pull-down motion for an above-mantel installation, supported by a gas spring and described cable management. The product page’s contradictory 43–73-inch and 43–70-inch ranges are a material compatibility issue, not a typographical detail to ignore. Obtain the current manual or written support confirmation that covers your TV before purchasing.

Follow local fireplace guidance and the mount’s installation instructions rather than assuming that an “above-mantel” description approves every mantel location.

Installation planning checklist
The product pages do not establish safe installation on every wall type or provide enough information to determine your stud layout. Use the exact manual for your model and resolve these checks before lifting the TV.
- Record the TV data. Write down the display weight, VESA spacing, screw size and the location of power and HDMI ports from the TV manual.
- Record the mount limits. Confirm the model number, maximum load, VESA range, movement limits and all included spacers and bolts from the current TygerClaw instructions.
- Map the wall. Locate suitable structural fixing points and check for electrical, plumbing or other concealed services before drilling. The correct anchor depends on the wall construction; do not substitute a generic fastener because it is convenient.
- Mock up movement. Mark the screen centre and, for an extending model, the furthest projected position. Check doors, windows, cabinets, speakers and cable bend radius at both folded and extended positions.
- Assemble without the TV first. Follow the model-specific sequence, install any spacers required for a recessed back, and verify that every fastener engages the specified number of threads.
- Attach the bracket to the TV. Use only screws that match the TV’s threaded inserts and the manual’s required depth. A screw that is too long can damage the panel; one that is too short may not hold.
- Hang and secure the display with help. Large screens can exceed what one person can safely control. Engage the locking hardware, then test tilt, swivel or pull-down travel gradually before routing cables.
- Recheck after routing cables. Leave enough slack for the full movement range without allowing cables to become pinch points. Retighten only as the manual directs; over-tightening can deform the bracket or TV inserts.
Common selection and installation failures
The screen fits the diagonal range but not the bracket
This usually means the VESA pattern or weight was never checked. Return to the TV manual, compare both dimensions in millimetres and select a model whose stated maximum contains the pattern. Do not drill new holes in a mount or TV bracket unless the manufacturer explicitly approves that modification.
The arm sags or will not hold its angle
Stop using the mount and check the load against the model’s published maximum, the arm-locking hardware and the installation sequence. A mount rated for a lighter screen cannot be made suitable by tightening an adjustment knob. If the TV is within specification, consult TygerClaw support with the model number and installation details rather than forcing the mechanism.
Cables bind when the TV moves
Move the arm slowly through its complete range and observe each cable. Re-route with a larger loop, remove unnecessary strain and keep connectors away from hinges. The LCD3485BLK page specifically mentions cable management, but every model still requires a cable path that accommodates its own movement.
The wall cannot support the planned position
Do not rely on the mount’s metal capacity as proof that a plasterboard, masonry or timber wall can carry the load. Stop and identify the wall construction, structural fixing points and approved anchors in the manual. If those conditions cannot be verified, use a qualified installer or choose a different location.
The LCD3485BLK range is unclear
Treat the discrepancy as unresolved: the main text says 43–73 inches while a feature bullet says 43–70 inches. Ask TygerClaw for the current manual or written confirmation that covers your exact TV before drilling or ordering replacement hardware.
Prices, stock and regional listings
TygerClaw’s catalog at tygerclaw.com/collections/brackets-mounts displays changing price and stock information. Those values, regional availability and retailer listings can change, so verify them close to purchase. A retailer page for the LCD4091BLK at Home Depot Canada describes a different full-motion model for most 32–63-inch TVs up to 132 lb, with tilt, up to 180° swivel, up to 440 mm extension and VESA up to 600 × 400 mm. Use that listing only for the exact LCD4091BLK model; similar size or movement claims do not make it equivalent to the LCD4097BLK or any other model.

Which model should you choose?
- Choose LCD4097BLK when you need the widest stated full-motion range, your TV is 42–83 inches and no heavier than 132 lb (60 kg), and its VESA pattern is within 800 × 400 mm.
- Choose LCD3039BLK when a large or heavy TV will stay centred and you mainly need ±15° tilt, with a maximum load of 220 lb (100 kg) and VESA up to 875 × 470 mm.
- Choose LCD4103BLK when your heavy TV needs both tilt and side-to-side positioning, fits the 42–70-inch stated range, and can use its 515 mm extension safely.
- Choose LCD43909BLK for a lighter 32–60-inch set that needs compact articulation, provided it stays under 66 lb and within 400 × 400 mm VESA.
- Choose LCD3485BLK only after confirmation when the installation is genuinely above a mantel and pull-down access is essential. Resolve its conflicting screen-size statements and verify the manual’s travel and wall requirements first.
No source for these models independently measures viewing quality, installation effort or long-term reliability. The defensible way to call one “best” is to show that its published load, VESA and movement specifications match your television and room better than the alternatives.
