The best TV that looks like art depends on what matters most when the screen is off: Samsung’s art library and integrated design, a wireless connection box, a lower-cost frame-style option, or a particular bezel and gallery service. For US buyers, the six choices to compare are Samsung The Frame Pro, Samsung The Frame, Hisense CanvasTV, Amazon Ember Artline, LG Gallery TV, and TCL NXTVISION. They do not all offer the same art mode or viewing performance.
Which frame TV is the best fit?
| Model | Best fit | Key distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung The Frame Pro 2026 | Buyers prioritizing Samsung’s wireless connection box and higher-tier display | Neo QLED 4K, Wireless One Connect, and Art Mode |
| Samsung The Frame 2026 | Buyers who want Samsung’s art ecosystem with connections on the TV | Art Mode, built-in connections, and an included Slim Fit Wall Mount |
| Hisense CanvasTV 2026 | Budget-focused shoppers seeking a dedicated frame-style set | Matte finish, Dolby Vision support, and personal-photo uploads |
| Amazon Ember Artline 2026 | Buyers who want to select a bezel color at purchase | RTINGS describes image quality as similar to CanvasTV, with somewhat weaker motion |
| LG Gallery TV 2026 | Buyers drawn to attachable frames and LG Gallery+ | Gallery+ includes artwork, personal photos, and AI-created visuals |
| TCL NXTVISION | Shoppers considering an art-style TV beyond the dedicated frame models | Performance and art features depend on the specific model; check its SKU |
This is a practical shortlist, not a universal performance ranking. Samsung’s specifications and art-service details are manufacturer claims; observations about picture quality and motion below are attributed to RTINGS. Confirm the exact US model, size, current price, stock, and art-service access before buying.

What separates an art TV from a regular thin TV?
An art TV is meant to look intentional on a wall while idle, but the implementation varies. Samsung calls its dedicated display setting Art Mode. LG offers Gallery+ on supported webOS TVs. Hisense CanvasTV and Amazon Ember Artline are frame-style alternatives, while the name NXTVISION covers specific TCL models whose features should be checked individually. A gallery screensaver or art feature is not automatically equivalent to a dedicated, always-available art mode.

Compare how each set displays art, whether it can show your own photos, how large or varied its catalog is, and whether continued access requires a subscription. Samsung says its Art Store has more than 5,000 works from over 800 artists, a manufacturer-reported count rather than an independent catalog audit; a subscription is required for full access, and availability can vary. Samsung also describes Art Store Streams as 30 curated works monthly, subject to service terms and regional availability. LG says Gallery+ offers over 5,000 curated artworks and supports personal images and AI-created visuals; it is a subscription service for supported webOS TVs, with availability and promotions varying by country.

- MAKES ART LOOK LIKE REAL ART WITH A PRINT-LIKE FINISH: See your favorite works like you're seeing them hanging in a gallery or museum. The virtually glare-free screen has subtle, matte texture, making art look like a real print.
For a bright room, consider reflections and matte-screen treatment as well as measured image performance. A manufacturer’s glare-reduction claim does not establish how a model performs in every room. Also account for the physical installation: frame options, flush mounting, cable visibility, and whether an external connection box suits the room.
Samsung The Frame Pro: when wireless connections matter
The 2026 Frame Pro combines Neo QLED 4K, Art Mode, and Samsung’s Wireless One Connect box. Samsung says the box can be placed up to 30 feet away, subject to wireless-placement limitations. That layout can help reduce visible cables around the display, but it makes the box’s location and wireless conditions part of the installation plan.

Samsung’s US launch prices were $1,499.99 for 55 inches, $1,999.99 for 65 inches, $2,799.99 for 75 inches, and $3,999.99 for 85 inches. These are launch prices, not guaranteed current prices. The Pro is the clearest fit if the wireless box and higher-tier screen are priorities; compare its current price with the standard Frame before paying for those differences.

Samsung reported the Frame lineup as the No. 1 Art TV brand in the US by dollar and unit sales for the 12 months ending December 2025, citing Circana LLC. That is Samsung’s reproduction of a Circana-defined Art TV category claim, not a ranking of all televisions.

- SLIM FIT WALL MOUNT INCLUDED: The Frame looks like art for many reasons. When mounted flush against the wall, the gap between the TV and the wall is minimal, creating the illusion of a genuine piece of art.
Hisense CanvasTV: the budget-focused frame-style option
RTINGS lists 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch CanvasTV sizes, a matte finish, Dolby Vision support, a teak frame, and an included slim wall mount. It also notes that the included art selection is more limited than Samsung’s and that owners can upload photos by USB or a phone QR code.
RTINGS found CanvasTV brighter than the standard Frame, but less accurate, with very slow response and blurry motion. Those are the reviewer’s assessments, not a guarantee for every viewing setup. CanvasTV is worth considering when price and a frame-like presentation lead your priorities, but weigh its motion and accuracy trade-offs if you watch fast-moving sports or care about faithful picture reproduction.

Amazon Ember Artline: choose it for the bezel option
RTINGS says the Ember Artline’s image quality is similar to CanvasTV, with somewhat weaker motion, and that it typically carries a price premium over Hisense. That relationship is not a fixed current price comparison. Its distinguishing appeal in this group is the option to select bezel color at purchase; verify the available finishes and exact model in your market.
LG Gallery TV: framed design with Gallery+
LG’s 2026 Gallery TV uses attachable frames and integrates with Gallery+, which LG says offers over 5,000 curated artworks, personal photos, and AI-created visuals. LG says one frame type is included and another is sold separately; accessory availability can differ by country. Gallery+ is a subscription service for supported webOS TVs, and its availability and promotional terms vary by country.
In its May 18, 2026 release, LG said US pricing and availability were still to be announced. RTINGS later reviewed 55- and 65-inch models and rated the TV less favorably than several rivals in its review. That assessment should be considered alongside the design and art-service features, not treated as a statement that the set is unsuitable for every buyer. Check current US stock, price, and compatible frame options before deciding.

TCL NXTVISION: verify the exact model first
NXTVISION is an art-style alternative, but the available comparison does not establish identical art features across every TCL model or market. RTINGS compared a specific NXTVISION model with the LG Gallery TV and described them as similar overall: TCL handled motion better, while LG had better default SDR accuracy. Use that as a model-specific comparison, not a claim about the entire NXTVISION range; confirm the SKU and its art-display features before purchase.
How to compare total cost and installation
- Use current street prices, not launch prices alone. Samsung’s figures above are US launch prices. Prices, stock, and model availability can change.
- Include frame and mount costs. Samsung says customizable bezels are sold separately and identifies Deco TV Frames as a compatible accessory partner for The Frame and The Frame Pro. LG says one attachable-frame type is included and another is sold separately.
- Check art access. Samsung requires a subscription for full Art Store access. LG describes Gallery+ as a subscription service. Confirm the service terms and regional availability for the specific TV.
- Plan the wall and cable route. Consider viewing distance and wall proportions, whether the included mount suits the installation, and where cables or an external connection box will go.
- Confirm regional details. Model numbers, frame accessories, art libraries, bundles, and availability can vary by country.
Samsung introduced its refreshed 2026 Frame and Frame Pro on April 2, 2026. Its launch announcement and product information are available at Samsung’s announcement and Samsung’s Frame product page. RTINGS’ comparisons and model assessments are at its frame-TV comparison and LG Gallery review. LG’s product and availability information appears in its 2026 Gallery TV announcement.
