The India-market Motorola Edge 70 Fusion leads on display size and refresh rate, listed battery capacity, charging wattage and several camera resolutions. The Galaxy A35 5G stands out for Samsung’s stated software-update commitment and microSD expansion. A 91mobiles comparison page showed the Motorola ₹2,800 cheaper than the Samsung, but that is a volatile India price snapshot—not a guaranteed current offer.

Which phone has the better display?
On listed size, resolution and refresh rate, the Edge 70 Fusion has the stronger specification: its 6.8-inch panel is 2772 × 1272 and supports up to 144Hz. The A35 has a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. A higher refresh rate can make compatible scrolling and animations appear smoother, but it does not by itself establish overall display quality, brightness or colour accuracy.
Samsung’s Super AMOLED branding may be a draw if that display technology is a priority. The supplied specifications do not establish a direct, controlled comparison of the panels’ real-world quality.

Battery capacity and charging: the market variant matters
For the India variant, Motorola lists a 7,000mAh battery and 68W TurboPower charging; its India page also says the 68W charger is included in the box. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery and describes charging as Super Fast Charging, without a wattage in the cited specifications. Capacity and charging specifications do not guarantee a particular runtime or charge time.
Motorola’s global launch announcement gives a different Edge 70 Fusion battery figure: 5,200mAh. That is a market/configuration discrepancy, so do not treat the India page’s 7,000mAh figure as universal. Confirm the battery and included accessories for the country and SKU you intend to buy.

As one attributed test rather than a universal prediction, 91mobiles reported PCMark battery durations of 17 hours 34 minutes for the Edge 70 Fusion and 13 hours 19 minutes for the Galaxy A35. Results depend on test conditions and usage, so those figures should not be read as guaranteed everyday screen time.
Camera hardware: compare the parts, not just megapixels
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). Motorola lists a 13MP ultrawide with macro capability and a 32MP selfie camera; Samsung lists an 8MP ultrawide, a separate 5MP macro camera and a 13MP selfie camera.

The Edge’s higher listed ultrawide and front-camera resolutions may appeal if those camera types matter to you. Megapixel counts and sensor names alone cannot show which phone takes better photos: image processing, focus, exposure and performance in different lighting require direct comparative testing, which the cited specifications do not provide.
Software support and storage may favour Samsung
Galaxy A35: a clearly stated upgrade commitment
Samsung’s US launch announcement promises four generations of Android and One UI upgrades, plus five years of security updates. That is the clearest documented upgrade commitment in this comparison. The announcement is US-market information; check Samsung’s local terms for the exact model and region.

Edge 70 Fusion: verify the local support policy
Motorola’s UK support page gives a security-update endpoint of February 2031 and describes the period as five years. That is a UK support statement, not proof that every market has identical terms. Check the support page for your country before treating it as the policy for your device.

Expandable storage versus higher listed configurations
The A35 supports microSD expansion up to 1TB, while Motorola’s India specifications list internal storage options up to 256GB. Samsung’s cited US launch configuration is 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, but configurations vary by market. If you keep large offline media libraries, confirm whether the local A35 supports the card capacity you need and whether the Motorola SKU offers enough built-in storage.

Durability ratings are not damage guarantees
Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H for the India Edge 70 Fusion; Samsung lists IP67 for the Galaxy A35. These are manufacturer-published ratings, not a promise that either phone is immune to water, dust, impact or wear. Coverage can depend on test conditions, and damage from an incident may not be covered by warranty.
What is the price difference?
The 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹31,999 for the Galaxy A35 5G and ₹29,199 for the Edge 70 Fusion, both associated with Amazon India. That makes the Motorola ₹2,800 lower in that displayed snapshot. Treat it as an India-market reference only: price, stock, seller, promotion and storage configuration can change, so check the live listing and final checkout price.
Samsung’s US announcement listed a starting price of $399.99 when the A35 launched in April 2024. That is historical launch pricing, not a current October 2026 price. Motorola’s March 2026 launch announcement describes availability in select countries across Latin America, EMEA and Asia Pacific and directs readers to local PR for pricing; it does not establish one global price or support an assumption of US availability.

- Choose the Edge 70 Fusion if the India-market specifications match the device available to you and you prioritize a larger, higher-resolution, faster-refresh display, higher listed battery capacity, 68W charging, or the listed IP68/IP69 ratings.
- Choose the Galaxy A35 if Samsung’s stated four generations of Android/One UI upgrades and five years of security updates, or microSD expansion up to 1TB, matter more than the Motorola’s listed hardware advantages.
- Compare exact local offers before deciding. The ₹2,800 difference is from a third-party India price snapshot, not a matched official price pair or a guaranteed live deal. Confirm the configuration, seller, network compatibility and warranty in your market.
For context, 91mobiles also reported Geekbench multi-core scores of 3,475 for the Edge 70 Fusion and 2,962 for the Galaxy A35. These are that publisher’s comparison results, not guaranteed performance in every device or workload. Motorola’s official India specifications identify the Edge chipset as Snapdragon 7s Gen 4; 91mobiles’ comparison text conflicts internally, naming Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 in one section and Gen 4 in its specifications table.
