Which Samsung Galaxy Tablet Should You Buy? A 2026 Guide to the Galaxy Tab Lineup

For most buyers who want a premium Samsung tablet that is still easy to carry, the Galaxy Tab S11 is the best starting point. Samsung lists an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to 120 Hz, 12 GB RAM configurations, an included S Pen and up to 18 hours of video playback. Choose the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra when its 14.6-inch workspace is more important than portability and its higher U.S. MSRP fits your budget.

Lower-cost choices cover different needs rather than forming one simple ranking: the S10 FE+ gives you a large 13.1-inch LCD, the S10 FE and S10 Lite are smaller 10.9-inch LCD tablets with S Pen support, and the A11+ is an 11-inch LCD general-purpose tablet without S Pen compatibility. The figures and recommendations here use Samsung U.S. specifications and estimates, not independent testing.

Choose by your main priority

The fastest way to narrow Samsung’s current U.S. range is to decide which compromise matters least to you: price, display quality, physical size, pen support or maximum workspace. Samsung’s comparison page currently shows nine models, but a model appearing in that table does not guarantee that every configuration is in stock or discounted at the same time. Check the live listing before ordering.

Your priority Best starting point Why it fits Important qualification
Premium tablet for everyday work and entertainment Galaxy Tab S11 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, up to 120 Hz, included S Pen and 12 GB RAM configurations These are Samsung-listed capabilities, not independent performance results.
Largest premium canvas Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra or S12 Ultra Both are listed with 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays Compare live price, stock and configuration; the larger chassis is less portable.
Premium screen in a smaller size Galaxy Tab S12+ 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display Samsung’s comparison table, rather than an independent test, is the source for the specification.
Large screen at the LCD tier Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ 13.1-inch LCD and up to 21 hours of Samsung-estimated video playback Its diagonal is larger than the S11’s, but LCD is a different panel technology from AMOLED.
Smaller LCD tablet with a pen Galaxy Tab S10 FE or S10 Lite Both are listed with 10.9-inch LCD displays and an included S Pen Check the exact model’s processor, memory, refresh rate and other features before buying.
General-purpose tablet at the lower end of this range Galaxy Tab A11+ 11-inch LCD and up to 15 hours of Samsung-estimated video playback Samsung says the A11+ is not compatible with the S Pen.

Samsung’s current tablet landing page organizes its main navigation around the S11, S10, S10 FE, S10 Lite and A11+ families. The comparison page also lists the S12 Ultra, S12+, S11 Ultra, S11, S10 Lite, A11+, S10+, S10 FE+ and S10 FE. Use both pages to understand the range, then verify the exact configuration and availability on the product page: Samsung’s tablet comparison and Samsung’s U.S. tablet lineup.

#1 Best Overall
Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage, Expandable Storage, Gray | Optimized Performance, Long Lasting Battery, Large Display, Dolby Atmos Speakers, AI Assist, Slim, Light, 2 Year Warranty
  • POWER FOR ALL YOU DO: Galaxy Tab A11+ gives your family the optimal performance they need for all their day-to-day activities. Power through tasks, relax with a movie or jump into a game — the upgraded chipset⁴ keeps everything responsive
  • CHARGES UP FAST. LASTS FOR HOURS: Galaxy Tab A11+ keeps your family going with a long-lasting battery that’s perfect for browsing, streaming and play. When you finally need a boost, fast charging gets you back to 100% quickly.⁵
  • MEMORY AND STORAGE THAT KEEP UP: With up to 8GB of memory and 256GB⁶ of storage, Galaxy Tab A11+ gives your family the space and speed to multitask seamlessly and handle large files.
  • BIG SCREEN. FAMILY-SIZED FUN: A bright, engaging 11" screen¹ with a refresh rate up to 90Hz delivers natural, fluid motion, making it easy for every family member to stream, play and do what they love.
  • SURROUND YOURSELF WITH RICH AUDIO SOUND: Whether you're watching a movie or listening to your favorite playlist, immerse yourself in a cinema-like audio experience with quad speakers powered by Dolby Atmos on Galaxy Tab A11+

Understand the display trade-off before comparing sizes

Screen diagonal alone can mislead. A larger LCD panel may offer more room for documents, while a smaller Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel can be the more premium choice for contrast and viewing quality. Samsung lists these panel and size combinations:

Model Panel and diagonal listed by Samsung Refresh-rate capability listed
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Not stated in the supplied comparison details
Galaxy Tab S12+ 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Not stated in the supplied comparison details
Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Up to 120 Hz
Galaxy Tab S11 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Up to 120 Hz
Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ 13.1-inch LCD Up to 90 Hz
Galaxy Tab S10 FE 10.9-inch LCD Up to 90 Hz
Galaxy Tab S10 Lite 10.9-inch LCD Up to 90 Hz
Galaxy Tab A11+ 11-inch LCD Up to 90 Hz
Galaxy Tab S10+ Not stated in the supplied comparison details Not stated in the supplied comparison details

The 13.1-inch S10 FE+ is therefore not an AMOLED alternative to the 11-inch S11; it is a larger LCD tablet. Likewise, “up to 120 Hz” or “up to 90 Hz” describes a listed capability, not a guarantee that every application will render at that rate or that one tablet will feel faster in every workload.

Which Galaxy Tab model fits each type of buyer?

Galaxy Tab S11: the balanced premium choice

The S11 is the sensible default when you want a high-end display without moving to an oversized tablet. Samsung lists an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, up to 120 Hz, 12 GB RAM configurations, an included S Pen and up to 18 hours of video playback. Those specifications suit note-taking, drawing, streaming and general multitasking while keeping the tablet’s footprint below the Ultra models.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Samsung’s U.S. MSRP sheet lists the 12 GB + 256 GB Wi-Fi configuration at $899.99, effective May 1, 2026. That is a dated manufacturer MSRP, not a promise of today’s store price; Samsung says prices can change without notice. Trade-in offers, promotions, taxes and configuration availability can change the amount you actually pay.

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra: buy the workspace, not just the faster specification

The S11 Ultra is for people who will use a 14.6-inch canvas often enough to justify the size and cost. Samsung lists a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, up to 120 Hz and up to 23 hours of video playback, with the S Pen included. The larger panel can make split-screen documents, timelines, spreadsheets and illustration work more comfortable, but it is inherently less convenient to hold or pack than the 11-inch S11.

The listed U.S. MSRP for the 12 GB + 256 GB Wi-Fi configuration is $1,199.99 on the price sheet effective May 1, 2026. Treat the $300 difference from the similarly specified S11 configuration as historical MSRP context, not as a current retail quote. Verify live pricing and stock before checkout.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra: the other 14.6-inch premium option

Samsung’s comparison page includes the S12 Ultra and lists a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to 23 hours of video playback. That places it in the same large-screen class as the S11 Ultra. The supplied specifications do not establish a current U.S. MSRP, RAM configuration, refresh-rate figure or independent performance result for the S12 Ultra, so choose between the two only after checking the live configuration you can actually buy.

Galaxy Tab S12+: premium display with less physical bulk than an Ultra

The S12+ is listed with a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It is the model to investigate when 14.6 inches feels excessive but you still want a premium AMOLED workspace larger than the S11’s 11 inches. The supplied comparison details do not provide a U.S. MSRP, playback estimate or full memory configuration for this model; confirm those items on Samsung’s current listing rather than inferring them from another S-series tablet.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE+: the large-screen LCD alternative

The S10 FE+ gives you a 13.1-inch LCD display, up to 90 Hz and an included S Pen. Samsung lists up to 21 hours of video playback. It makes sense for readers who value a big document or video surface more than AMOLED contrast, or who want a lower listed MSRP than the premium S11 family.

The May 1, 2026 U.S. MSRP sheet lists the 8 GB + 128 GB Wi-Fi configuration at $649.99. That figure is manufacturer MSRP on a dated document and may not match current sale pricing, trade-in pricing or stock.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE: smaller LCD tablet with pen support

The S10 FE is listed with a 10.9-inch LCD panel, up to 90 Hz and an included S Pen. Its 8 GB + 128 GB Wi-Fi configuration is listed at $499.99 on Samsung’s price sheet effective May 1, 2026. It is a practical shortlist item when you want handwriting and drawing support but do not need an AMOLED panel or the S11’s listed 120 Hz capability.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not assume the S10 FE and S10 Lite are identical because both have 10.9-inch LCD screens. Samsung’s comparison table contains model-specific processor, memory and feature entries; compare the exact configuration before deciding.

Galaxy Tab S10 Lite: another 10.9-inch pen-compatible option

The S10 Lite is also listed with a 10.9-inch LCD display, up to 90 Hz and an included S Pen. The supplied price sheet does not establish an MSRP for it, and the available evidence does not support treating it as a performance equivalent to the S10 FE. Use the comparison page to check the processor, RAM, storage and connectivity of the particular listing you find.

Galaxy Tab A11+: lower-tier general-purpose tablet without S Pen support

The A11+ is listed with an 11-inch LCD display, up to 90 Hz and up to 15 hours of video playback. Samsung explicitly says the S Pen is not compatible. That makes it a poor fit for handwritten notes or pressure-sensitive drawing, regardless of its screen size.

If your use is browsing, video, reading and basic apps and you do not need pen input, the A11+ belongs on the shortlist. If a stylus is part of the reason you are buying a Galaxy Tab, move to the S10 FE, S10 Lite or S11 families instead.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Galaxy Tab S10+: verify the exact configuration before committing

The S10+ appears in Samsung’s current comparison list and is among the models for which the S Pen is listed as included. The supplied specifications do not state its screen size, panel, battery estimate, refresh rate or the U.S. MSRP configuration. That means it should not be ranked from those missing figures; inspect the live Samsung comparison and product page for the exact version available in your market.

S11 or S11 Ultra: a practical decision test

Both models are premium AMOLED tablets with up to 120 Hz listed capability and an included S Pen. The decision is primarily about workspace versus portability and price.

  1. Measure your work area. If you regularly keep two documents, a timeline and a reference window visible simultaneously, the Ultra’s 14.6 inches may be worth carrying. If you mostly read, annotate, stream or take notes one app at a time, the S11’s 11 inches is easier to manage.
  2. Check your transport routine. A 14.6-inch tablet needs a larger sleeve and occupies more desk and bag space. Do not pay for the Ultra’s panel if it will stay at home because it is inconvenient to carry.
  3. Compare the actual offer. Use $899.99 for the S11 12 GB + 256 GB Wi-Fi and $1,199.99 for the S11 Ultra 12 GB + 256 GB Wi-Fi only as May 1, 2026 MSRP references. A current promotion or a different storage, memory or cellular configuration can change the gap.
  4. Decide whether battery capacity is a priority. Samsung’s listed video estimate is up to 18 hours for S11 and up to 23 hours for S11 Ultra. These are manufacturer playback estimates, not independent runtime tests under your apps, brightness and network conditions.

If the answer to the first step is “I need the largest practical canvas,” choose the Ultra class. If your answer is “I need a premium tablet I will carry daily,” the S11 is the more defensible default.

Battery figures: useful for orientation, not a guarantee

Samsung’s comparison lists maximum video-playback estimates ranging from up to 15 hours on the A11+ to up to 23 hours on the S11 Ultra and S12 Ultra. The named figures available for this lineup are:

Streaming over Wi-Fi, gaming, video calls, high brightness, cellular use and multitasking can produce different results. Use the figures to understand Samsung’s positioning, then look for return and warranty terms that fit your buying risk.

What the S Pen and refresh-rate listings mean

Samsung lists the S Pen as included with the S11, S11 Ultra, S10 Lite, S10+, S10 FE+ and S10 FE. The A11+ is specifically listed as not compatible. “Included” also refers to the tablet package described by Samsung; confirm the contents of the exact regional or retailer configuration before purchase.

The S11 and S11 Ultra are listed at up to 120 Hz. The S10 Lite, A11+, S10 FE+ and S10 FE are listed at up to 90 Hz. The provided details do not state refresh-rate figures for the S12 Ultra, S12+ or S10+. A higher maximum can support smoother scrolling and pen motion, but it is not a benchmark of processor speed and does not ensure every app uses the maximum mode.

Prices and configurations in the United States

Samsung’s U.S. MSRP document is dated effective May 1, 2026 and warns that prices may change without notice. The following figures are therefore reference points, not current street prices:

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, 12 GB + 256 GB, Wi-Fi $1,199.99 May 1, 2026 manufacturer MSRP; verify current price.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, 8 GB + 128 GB, Wi-Fi $649.99 May 1, 2026 manufacturer MSRP; verify current price.
S12 Ultra, S12+, S10 Lite, A11+ and S10+ Not stated in the supplied price entries Do not estimate from another model; check the live U.S. listing.

Before paying, match the model name, RAM, storage, Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity and included accessories. A lower headline price can represent a different configuration. Samsung’s landing page may display trade-in or discount offers, but those offers are time-sensitive and should be checked live.

  • SPACE TO KEEP WHAT MATTERS MOST: More storage means deleting less apps, photos, videos and files. Galaxy Tab S10 Lite comes with up to 256GB³ of storage. And if you need even more, you can add up to 2TB with a microSD card.⁹
  • THE POWER OF ENHANCED PERFORMANCE: Galaxy Tab S10 Lite boasts an Exynos 1380 processor that lets you stream, scroll, note, search and even multitask with ease

Cases and keyboard covers: compatibility is model-specific

Galaxy Tab covers are not universal accessories. Samsung lists distinct products for different tablet families, including the Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover Keyboard Slim at a listed $144.99 and the S11 Book Cover at a listed $89.99. Its accessory list also separates cover and keyboard models for the S10 FE/FE+ and S11 Ultra.

Those prices come from the same May 1, 2026 MSRP context and can change. Before ordering a case or keyboard, check all of the following:

  • The exact tablet model and generation in the accessory title and compatibility list.
  • Whether the product is a keyboard cover, folio cover or another accessory; the functions and dimensions differ.
  • Whether your tablet is Wi-Fi or cellular if the listing separates those versions.
  • Current stock, price, return terms and the contents of the package.

A keyboard cover is useful for people who write long documents or email on the tablet. It is not a requirement for every buyer, and a cover made for the S11 should not be assumed to fit the S11 Ultra or an S10 FE+.

A buying checklist that avoids the common mistakes

  1. Set a real screen target. Decide whether you need 10.9–11 inches for portability, 12.6–13.1 inches for a middle ground or 14.6 inches for maximum workspace.
  2. Choose panel technology deliberately. Select Dynamic AMOLED 2X when the premium display is central to your decision; choose LCD when screen area or budget matters more.
  3. Confirm pen requirements. Pick an S Pen-listed model for handwriting or drawing. Exclude the A11+ if pen input is essential.
  4. Compare the exact configuration. Record RAM, storage, connectivity and the included accessories rather than comparing model names alone.
  5. Read the price date. Treat the May 1, 2026 MSRP numbers as historical manufacturer references. Verify today’s price, promotion, trade-in value and tax.
  6. Check availability in your country. This guide covers Samsung’s U.S. market. Names, configurations and stock can differ elsewhere.
  7. Match accessories after selecting the tablet. Search for the exact model-specific cover or keyboard only after the tablet configuration is fixed.
  8. Keep performance claims in perspective. No independent benchmark or hands-on test is established here. Samsung’s specifications and playback estimates describe the products but do not predict every app’s speed or battery life.

Bottom line

Buy the Galaxy Tab S11 if you want the strongest all-around balance of premium display, portability, pen support and listed features. Move to the S11 Ultra when a 14.6-inch AMOLED workspace is the reason you are buying a tablet. Choose the S10 FE+ for a large LCD canvas, the S10 FE or S10 Lite for a smaller LCD tablet with an S Pen, and the A11+ for general use when pen input is not required. Use Samsung’s live comparison and product pages to confirm stock, configuration and current price before ordering.
