There is no single best POCO phone for every buyer. The right choice depends first on your country and budget, then on whether you value gaming speed, battery endurance, cameras, compactness, or dependable local support. POCO’s global site currently lists seven models: POCO F9 Ultra, F9 Pro, X8, X8 Pro Max, X8 Pro, M8 Pro 5G, and M8 5G. That list is global, not a guarantee that every model is sold, supported, or compatible with networks in your country.
For a battery-first buyer, the X8 Pro Max is the only current model in this lineup with detailed independent hands-on evidence in the available material. TechRadar reported roughly two days of average use from the 8,500mAh UK version, while noting that some regions receive a 9,000mAh battery. For the F9 and other X8 or M8 models, the official listing confirms the models exist, but the evidence here does not justify a universal ranking. Treat the guide below as a method for choosing the exact local variant rather than as a benchmark league table.

What is in POCO’s current global lineup?
POCO’s Global home page lists seven phones at the time of the October 13, 2026 check. The names indicate three families, but the available sources do not independently test every model or establish a complete family-wide performance order.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

| POCO M8 5G | Listed as a current M-series model on POCO’s global site. | 5G compatibility, regional hardware, price, support and availability. |
“Current” here means present on the global site when checked, not necessarily new in every market. A retailer may list a different memory configuration, an imported regional SKU, or an older generation under a similar name.

Start with country, budget and support
Before comparing processors or camera samples, establish whether you can buy and support the phone where you live. POCO’s global catalog does not settle local stock, taxes, carrier compatibility or warranty coverage.
- Set a real purchase ceiling. Include a compatible charger if the box does not contain one, delivery or import charges, local tax, a case and a screen protector. Compare the price of the exact storage version, not the lowest advertised configuration.
- Check the model code and region. Ask the seller for the precise regional SKU and confirm that it is intended for your country. Do not assume that two phones with the same retail name have identical battery capacity, bands or software.
- Check carrier frequencies. Compare every LTE and 5G band your carrier uses with the manufacturer’s specification for that SKU. A phone can accept a SIM yet miss an important coverage band or indoor frequency.
- Read the warranty and return route. Confirm who handles a faulty device: a local manufacturer service center, the retailer, or an overseas seller. Imported-device support can be limited; TechRadar specifically warns that POCO phones are not technically available in the United States and that support for imports may be spotty.
- Confirm software-update terms. Obtain the promise for the exact model and region in writing when possible. The global product page does not establish a single update schedule for all seven phones.
If a seller cannot identify the regional model code, warranty provider or supported bands, the apparent discount is not a reliable comparison.
Choose according to the job you need the phone to do
If gaming speed is your priority
Do not select a phone solely because its family name sounds higher-end. The available evidence does not include independent tests of the F9 Ultra, F9 Pro, X8, X8 Pro or either M8 model. The X8 Pro Max review says it handles gaming well for its price, but that is a reviewer assessment of one regional unit, not a guarantee of frame rates or sustained performance for every game.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Ask the seller for the processor, cooling design, memory configuration and display refresh rate of your exact SKU. Then look for tests of that precise model rather than carrying results from an older or differently named POCO phone. If long sessions matter, check whether reviews report heat or throttling, and whether the game maintains performance after the phone warms up.
If battery life is the priority
The X8 Pro Max is the clearest evidence-backed candidate in this material. TechRadar tested the UK version with an 8,500mAh battery and reported roughly two days of average use. The same review says some regions receive a 9,000mAh battery, so capacity and endurance claims must be tied to the local variant. Screen brightness, mobile signal, gaming, camera use and background apps can all reduce runtime.
Ask whether the box includes a wall charger. TechRadar’s reviewed X8 Pro Max package included a cable but no wall plug despite 100W wired charging. A separate charger must support the phone’s required standard and output; otherwise the advertised charging speed may not be available.

If cameras matter more than endurance
The available X8 Pro Max review characterizes its cameras as adequate for everyday use rather than photography-focused. It does not establish that the F9, X8 or M8 models have better cameras. If photography is central, compare daylight, night, portrait and video samples from the exact regional phone, and check whether optical zoom is present instead of assuming it from the model name.
If size and comfort matter
Large batteries often mean a larger or heavier handset, but the supplied evidence does not give dimensions or weight for the current models. Hold the exact phone if possible, or confirm dimensions and mass from the local specification sheet. A phone that lasts longer but is uncomfortable to hold may be a poor daily choice.
If software polish and updates matter
TechRadar found the X8 Pro Max software less refined than some alternatives. That is a review judgment, not a quantified score. Check the installed applications, notification behavior, update commitment and regional features before buying. A lower price is less attractive if you must spend time removing unwanted software or if the support path is unclear.
POCO X8 Pro Max: the battery-led choice
The X8 Pro Max is the only current model here with a detailed hands-on review, making it the most defensible recommendation for a buyer whose main goal is long battery life at a mid-range price.
| Item | Evidence from the reviewed phone | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | 8,500mAh | UK review configuration; TechRadar says some regions receive 9,000mAh. |
| Observed endurance | Roughly two days of average use | One reviewer’s experience; not a guarantee for different usage, software or regions. |
| Charging | 100W wired charging | The reviewed package had a cable but no wall plug. |
| Gaming | Handled gaming well for its price | Reviewer assessment, not a standardized benchmark result. |
| Cameras | Adequate for everyday photography | Review characterization; not positioned as a photography-first phone. |
| Software | Less refined than some alternatives | Reviewer judgment; experience can vary by region and updates. |
| UK review price | £469 for 256GB; £519 for 512GB | TechRadar review-time figures from 2026, not current or universal prices. |
| Launch date | March 17, 2026 | As reported for the reviewed product. |
Choose it when a very large battery and reasonable gaming at its price matter more than camera leadership, the smallest body or the most polished software. Before ordering, verify the battery capacity printed for your market, charger inclusion and the return policy.

The F9 Ultra and F9 Pro are the two F-series phones on POCO’s current global list. The supplied evidence does not include independent testing, complete specifications or current prices for either model. That means it would be misleading to declare one the fastest, best value or best camera phone.

They become sensible shortlist candidates only after you obtain local evidence for the exact SKU. Compare:
- Processor, memory and storage type for sustained workloads.
- Display size, resolution and refresh rate.
- Battery capacity, wired charging and whether a charger is included.
- Main, ultrawide, telephoto and front-camera hardware, plus video limits.
- Dimensions, weight, materials and any water-resistance rating.
- Carrier bands, dual-SIM behavior, eSIM support if required, and regional software.
- Warranty length, service location and the seller’s return procedure.
Use a local review or hands-on test before paying a premium for an F9 model. Do not substitute results from the older F8 Pro, discussed below.
How to evaluate the X8 and X8 Pro
The X8 and X8 Pro are current X-series choices alongside the X8 Pro Max. The official listing confirms their availability in POCO’s global lineup, but no model-specific independent test in this material establishes their battery life, camera quality, gaming performance or value.
For these two models, request a side-by-side local specification sheet. A lower nominal price may be worthwhile if it delivers the features you actually use, while a modest price gap may justify more storage or a better camera. Do not assume “Pro” automatically means better battery, camera or support; verify the component that matters to you.
How to evaluate the M8 Pro 5G and M8 5G
The M8 Pro 5G and M8 5G complete the seven-model global list. Their 5G labels make network-band verification especially important. A 5G-capable phone is not automatically compatible with every operator’s 5G deployment.
Check the carrier’s supported bands, aggregation requirements and voice-over-LTE behavior for the specific regional model. Then compare local price, memory, storage, battery and camera specifications. The evidence available here does not support calling either M8 model the cheapest, longest-lasting or best-performing option.

What the older F8 Pro can—and cannot—tell you
The F8 Pro is not one of the seven current models listed by POCO’s global site. TechRadar’s review is useful only as context for POCO’s earlier performance/value approach, not as a review of the F9 Ultra or F9 Pro.
That review praised speed and value, citing a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6.59-inch 120Hz OLED display. It also reported no wireless charging, some slowdown during heavy gaming loads, slow USB speeds and preinstalled software. Those observations illustrate the compromises to look for in a performance-focused POCO phone, but none proves that an F9 model has the same strengths or weaknesses.
A practical shortlist method
Once you have two or three phones that are actually sold in your country, score them against the same questions. Keep the evidence tied to the exact variant.
| Decision area | Question to answer | Evidence standard |
|---|---|---|
| Price and stock | What will I pay today for the storage version I want? | Local retailer or carrier listing; include tax, delivery and charger. |
| Performance | Will it sustain my games or apps without unacceptable heat or slowdown? | Processor specification plus testing of the exact model. |
| Battery | Will it last through my normal day? | Capacity for your region and usage-based reviews, not capacity alone. |
| Charging | Can I reach the advertised speed with what is in the box? | Charger inclusion, charging standard and compatible adapter. |
| Camera | Do photos and video meet my priorities? | Samples from the exact SKU in daylight, night and motion. |
| Comfort | Can I hold and carry it comfortably? | Local dimensions, weight and an in-person trial when possible. |
| Connectivity | Will it work fully on my carrier? | Regional LTE/5G bands and carrier requirements. |
| Support | Who repairs or replaces it if something fails? | Written warranty, service address and return window. |
| Software | Can I live with the interface and update policy? | Regional software version, installed apps and published support terms. |
Give extra weight to the categories that would be expensive or impossible to fix later. A missing carrier band, unavailable warranty or uncomfortable size is more consequential than a small benchmark difference.
Buying checklist for an imported or regional POCO phone
- Save a screenshot of the listing showing model name, storage, RAM, region and price.
- Ask the seller to confirm the model code, battery capacity and included accessories.
- Compare the listed LTE and 5G bands with your carrier’s requirements.
- Confirm whether the phone is new, refurbished, opened for import inspection or activated previously.
- Read the warranty exclusions and identify the service location before payment.
- Check the return period and who pays return shipping for a defect.
- Verify that the charger plug fits your country and that its output supports the phone’s charging specification.
- On arrival, photograph the box label, inspect seals and verify the model in Settings before moving your data.
- Test SIM registration, calls, mobile data, Wi-Fi, cameras, charging and the display during the return window.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Buying the cheapest listing without checking the region
A global name can conceal a different battery, charger, bands or software package. Compare the region code and specification sheet, not just the product title.
Assuming a large battery guarantees two-day use
The roughly two-day result belongs to TechRadar’s 8,500mAh UK X8 Pro Max review unit and average-use pattern. Gaming, weak signal, high brightness and background synchronization can change the result substantially.

Budgeting for 100W charging but not for a charger
The reviewed X8 Pro Max box contained a cable without a wall plug. Confirm the contents and buy a compatible adapter from a reliable seller if necessary.
Using an older review as a current-model verdict
F8 Pro findings provide historical context only. They should not be presented as evidence about F9 Ultra, F9 Pro or any X8 or M8 phone.
Ignoring after-sales support
Imported-device support may be spotty, and availability differs by country. A local warranty and clear return path can outweigh a small saving on the handset.

Choose the X8 Pro Max if your local version has the battery capacity and support you expect, and your priorities are endurance and solid everyday gaming rather than camera leadership or the most polished software. Treat the 8,500mAh and roughly two-day figures as UK review evidence, not a universal promise.
Choose between the F9 Ultra, F9 Pro, X8, X8 Pro, M8 Pro 5G and M8 5G only after checking exact local specifications, price, bands and warranty. The global list establishes that these are current POCO choices; it does not establish a universal winner. If a seller cannot document the regional SKU and support path, keep looking, regardless of the headline specification.
