The Samsung Galaxy S25 suits buyers who want a compact, light phone with flagship-positioned hardware; the realme 16 Pro+ 5G is the larger option, with higher listed battery capacity, faster wired charging and a higher display refresh-rate ceiling. Their camera specifications differ, but megapixel counts alone do not establish which takes better photos. Prices also vary by listing and storage, so compare like-for-like variants before deciding.
Samsung Galaxy S25 vs realme 16 Pro+: key specifications

How do their size and displays compare?
Choose the Galaxy S25 for a smaller, lighter phone
Samsung lists the S25 at 162g with a 15.64 cm full-rectangle display. That makes it the more compact choice on the published dimensions and weight, particularly if you prefer a phone that is easier to handle one-handed or carry in a small pocket.

Choose the realme for a larger screen
The realme’s listed display measures 17.27 cm and supports up to 144Hz, versus the S25’s listed 120Hz maximum. The realme therefore offers a larger viewing area and higher refresh-rate ceiling on paper. The panels’ labels and refresh limits do not, by themselves, prove which screen looks better in everyday use.
Which phone has the better cameras?
The specifications point to different camera configurations, not a verified image-quality winner. The S25 lists a 50MP main camera, 10MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom and 12MP ultra-wide. The realme lists a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide.

For selfies, Samsung lists a 12MP autofocus camera; realme lists a 50MP front camera, but autofocus is not stated in the cited specifications. A higher megapixel count does not guarantee sharper or more pleasing photos. No controlled, direct photo comparison is established by these specifications, so look at comparable sample images—especially in low light, at the telephoto range and with moving subjects—before choosing primarily for camera quality.

The comparison listing gives the Galaxy S25 a 4000mAh battery and 25W charging. realme specifies a 7000mAh typical battery capacity and charging at up to 80W. Those listed figures give the realme the larger stated capacity and higher wired charging ceiling; they do not establish how long either phone lasts in a particular person’s use. Capacity is not a runtime test, and no comparable test protocol is provided here to treat reported runtime figures as equivalent results.

The comparison listing also identifies wireless charging for the S25 and does not list it for the realme. Samsung says a travel adapter is not included with the Galaxy S25 and cautions that in-box items can vary by country or region. The cited realme specifications establish charging support, but do not establish whether an adapter is included in the box.
Performance, RAM and storage
Samsung’s India listing reports an octa-core processor with listed CPU speeds up to 4.47GHz and 3.5GHz, alongside 12GB memory and 256GB storage for that SKU. realme specifies a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, with 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations.

These are not directly comparable processor descriptions, and the specifications alone do not establish which phone is faster in a particular app or game. If you are comparing prices, match both RAM and storage where possible: the S25 India listing cited here is 12GB/256GB, while realme offers more than one configuration.

Which one should you buy?
- Pick the Galaxy S25 if compact size, lower listed weight, wireless charging in the comparison listing or the listed 3× optical zoom matter most to you.
- Pick the realme 16 Pro+ 5G if you prefer a larger display, a higher listed refresh-rate ceiling, a higher stated battery capacity or faster maximum wired charging.
- Compare before choosing either for photography if camera quality is your top priority. The hardware differs, but the available specifications do not establish a photo-quality winner.
- Compare current prices at the same storage tier rather than treating the dated comparison-page snapshot as a firm saving.
