The reviewed Edge 70 Fusion has the advantage on paper: its 144Hz panel has both a higher refresh rate and a higher resolution than the Redmi Note 15 5G’s 120Hz, 2392 × 1080 screen. The Redmi’s 6.77-inch AMOLED is nearly the same size as Motorola’s 6.78-inch panel. Whether the difference matters depends on what you do: a higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother, while a higher resolution provides more pixels for fine detail. These figures do not establish which screen is brighter or more accurate.

How do the cameras compare?
Xiaomi documents a 108MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on its global 5G model. That makes the Redmi’s main-camera resolution and stabilisation easy to verify from the manufacturer’s specifications, but megapixels alone do not predict photo quality.
For Motorola, TechRadar’s reviewed configuration lists a 50MP main and 13MP ultra-wide, while its camera discussion also refers to a macro camera. Because the reported camera details are not fully consistent and may vary with the regional SKU, check the exact local model before treating that as a definitive camera inventory. Which has the better battery and charging?
Xiaomi lists a typical 5,520mAh battery and 45W wired charging for its global REDMI Note 15 5G, plus 18W reverse charging. TechRadar’s reviewed Edge 70 Fusion has a 7,000mAh battery and 68W wired charging, but TechRadar says some regions may use a 5,200mAh battery instead. The Motorola charger was not included in the box for the reviewed handset.

So Motorola’s reviewed configuration has the larger stated battery and faster charging, but that is not a safe generalization to every market. Check the battery capacity and what is included in the box for the precise Edge 70 Fusion offered where you live. Capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish real-world battery life or charging time.

What do protection and software support mean in practice?
Xiaomi rates the global 5G model IP66. Xiaomi describes the rating as protection against dust and water in expected situations and cautions that resistance depends on specified laboratory conditions; it is not a promise of protection in every exposure or after wear and damage.
TechRadar reports IP68/IP69 and military protection for its reviewed Edge 70 Fusion. Treat those as configuration-specific reported ratings, not universal guarantees for every regional unit. Check the local product specification and warranty terms rather than relying on a series name alone.

For software longevity, Xiaomi says the global REDMI Note 15 5G receives six years of security updates. TechRadar reports three years of OS updates for its reviewed Motorola model, which launched with Android 16. Those are different kinds of support commitments: the reported Motorola figure concerns OS-version updates, while Xiaomi’s stated period is for security updates. What is the price difference?
There is no single global price gap. Retail prices change, and the cited figures come from different markets, dates and configurations. Do not subtract prices in different currencies or compare listings without confirming memory and storage.
