Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra combines a 200 MP main camera with separate 5x and 3x telephoto cameras, an S Pen, and a stated seven-year software-support policy. The better fit depends less on headline megapixels than on which camera layout, productivity tools, support commitment, and local price suit you.

Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
vivo X200 Pro: high-resolution telephoto emphasis
vivo lists a 50 MP main camera, a 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera with an 85 mm-equivalent focal length, and a 50 MP ultrawide. Its headline resolution is on the telephoto camera rather than the main camera. That hardware may appeal if distant subjects and telephoto framing are central to your photography, but the specification alone does not show how well it performs.
Galaxy S24 Ultra: separate 3x and 5x telephoto cameras
Samsung lists a 200 MP main camera alongside 50 MP 5x and 10 MP 3x telephoto cameras and a 12 MP ultrawide. The two dedicated telephoto options provide distinct listed magnifications, while the vivo specification centers on one 85 mm-equivalent telephoto camera. Choose by the focal lengths and shooting modes you expect to use; a higher megapixel count by itself does not establish better photos.

The cited manufacturer pages do not establish a comparable real-world ranking for still images, video, low-light shooting, or zoom quality. A fair camera decision requires comparable sample photos and video captured under the same conditions.
Display size, battery capacity, and day-to-day trade-offs
vivo lists a 6.78-inch LTPO panel with an adaptive 0.1–120 Hz refresh rate. Samsung lists a 6.8-inch display and describes the S24 Ultra’s screen as flatter and suited to productivity. The stated sizes are close; whether the screen shape or feel is preferable is a hands-on choice. The cited materials do not provide a comparable brightness test, so they do not support calling one display brighter or better.
The listed battery capacities are 6,000 mAh for the vivo and 5,000 mAh for the Samsung. Capacity is not a runtime result: actual endurance depends on usage, display settings, network conditions, and regional model. vivo also markets semi-solid battery technology and low-temperature operation claims with stated conditions; those are manufacturer claims, not comparative battery-life testing. The available specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.

Software support and productivity
The S24 Ultra is the more explicit fit for someone who wants a built-in stylus workflow: Samsung lists S Pen functionality and Galaxy AI features. Samsung stated that the S24 series would receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates in its worldwide availability announcement. This is Samsung’s policy commitment, not a guarantee that a particular update arrives on a particular date.
vivo’s global product page names Funtouch OS 15. The cited materials do not establish a directly comparable support commitment for the X200 Pro. Check current feature availability for your region, especially for AI functions, software services, and the exact variant being sold.

There is no reliable single current price difference without specifying a country, storage configuration, seller, and phone condition. The vivo China product page result lists the 12 GB + 256 GB X200 Pro at CNY 5,299. That regional listing cannot be compared directly with a current S24 Ultra offer in another market. Samsung’s cited worldwide-availability announcement is from 2024 and is not current street pricing.

- Compare the same storage tier, or clearly account for the difference.
- Use the same condition, such as new versus refurbished, and verify the seller and warranty.
- Record the market, currency, and date of the prices; do not treat a currency conversion as the price a local buyer will pay.
- Confirm the regional model and included items, since availability, network bands, charger, software features, and capacities may vary by version.
vivo’s China listing is at the official X200 Pro product and parameters page. It is evidence for that regional listing, not a current worldwide price comparison.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the vivo X200 Pro if its 200 MP 85 mm-equivalent telephoto setup, listed 6,000 mAh battery, and local price make it the stronger fit for your priorities. Treat those specifications as features to weigh, not proof of superior zoom or endurance.
- Consider the Galaxy S24 Ultra if you want a 200 MP main camera plus separate 3x and 5x telephoto cameras, S Pen productivity, or Samsung’s stated seven-year software-support commitment.
- Choose only after checking local availability if price is decisive: compare equivalent storage, condition, seller, warranty, and regional model rather than relying on a cross-market figure.
