The OPPO Find X9s is a conventional 6.59-inch phone, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra opens into an 8.0-inch display for a much larger workspace. Pick the OPPO if you want a lighter, flat-screen phone with a larger stated battery and faster wired charging; consider the Samsung if its folding screen, 200MP main camera, and storage options up to 1TB matter more. There is no reliable single-market price difference to quote from the available launch figures: they cover different countries and are not current October 2026 prices.
How the form factors change the choice
These phones are aimed at different everyday habits. The Find X9s is a standard smartphone with a 6.59-inch, 120Hz AMOLED display. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 6.5-inch cover display for use while folded and an 8.0-inch main display when opened. The unfolded screen gives more room for reading, viewing, and working across a larger canvas; the OPPO keeps the experience in a single, conventional phone shape.

The Samsung is listed at 215g, compared with 202g for the OPPO. That 13g difference favors the Find X9s on listed weight, although weight alone does not describe how either phone feels in a pocket or hand. The Fold’s defining trade-off is that it can open into a larger screen, not that it is simply a lighter or smaller phone.

Camera systems: different resolutions, no proven winner
OPPO Find X9s
OPPO India lists three 50MP rear cameras: a main camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a 3× telephoto camera. OPPO Singapore separately describes the telephoto as a periscope design and lists a 32MP front camera. The Singapore front-camera specification is regional information, not confirmation for every market.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
Samsung lists a 200MP wide camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP 3× telephoto camera. The higher main-camera megapixel count does not establish that it takes better photos. Resolution alone says little about image processing, low-light results, consistency between lenses, or how useful each camera is in practice.

No independently verified head-to-head camera test is available here, so the hardware lists are a basis for choosing what to investigate—not a verdict on photo quality.
Battery and charging: compare the claims, not an assumed runtime
OPPO advertises a 7,025mAh battery and up to 80W wired charging for the Find X9s. OPPO Singapore specifies 7,025mAh typical capacity and 6,840mAh rated capacity; those are two different capacity figures, not a contradiction. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh battery and up to 27 hours of video playback for the Fold 8 Ultra.

These manufacturer specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in the same real-world use. Screen size, settings, signal conditions, apps, and usage all affect runtime, and there is no independent comparative endurance test here. The OPPO’s higher stated battery capacity and faster stated wired charging are useful specification differences, but they do not prove a particular advantage in hours of use.
Durability and stylus use
OPPO India lists IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for the Find X9s. Samsung lists IP48 for the Fold 8 Ultra and describes Armor Aluminum, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and Victus 2, plus dual titanium layers beneath the display. These are manufacturer-listed attributes, not independent durability-test results.

The ratings are not interchangeable shorthand for an overall durability ranking: they describe protection under different conditions. Do not treat OPPO’s three listed ratings as directly equivalent to Samsung’s IP48 rating. Samsung also explicitly says the Fold 8 Ultra does not support S Pen, a significant limitation if pen input is central to your intended use.

The verified figures below are launch prices, not live October 2026 offers. OPPO’s prices are for India, while Samsung’s reported figures are for the US, UK, and Australia. Converting or subtracting them would mix markets, currencies, tax treatment, and launch conditions, so they cannot establish which phone costs more in a like-for-like comparison.

TechRadar reported general availability for the Samsung from August 7, 2026. The Samsung figures above are secondary-source launch prices, not confirmation of current listings. Samsung’s US page also lists 512GB and 1TB versions, but the cited launch-price report gives a price only for the 256GB model.
For a useful price difference, check both phones in the same country on the same date, match storage capacity, and compare listings on the same basis for taxes, seller, and availability. Current October 2026 prices and stock are not established by these launch figures.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Find X9s if you want a conventional phone, prefer its listed 202g weight, value a 6.59-inch flat display, or prioritize its stated 7,025mAh battery and up to 80W wired charging.
- Choose the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra if the option to open an 8.0-inch screen is more important than having a conventional design, or you want the listed 1TB storage option and 200MP wide camera.
- Compare camera examples before deciding if photo quality is the deciding factor. The listed megapixels and lens types do not substitute for comparable image samples or a controlled test.
- Check the exact local model and current offer before purchase, especially for regional specifications, storage, availability, and price.
Neither phone is a universal winner: the central decision is whether you will make regular use of a foldable’s larger open display or would rather have a conventional phone with the Find X9s’s listed battery and charging specifications.
