No single New Balance store is “the” scanner store. The service is listed location by location. New Balance’s official U.S. store locator shows a “3D foot scanner” service on the stores that offer it. In New York City, the five stores that list it are Flatiron Flagship, Run Hub, SoHo, Upper East and Upper West Side.
How to find a New Balance store with a 3D foot scanner near you
- Open the New Balance U.S. store locator.
- Search by city, address or postal code.
- Open the listing for each nearby store and look through its services for “3D foot scanner.”
- Call the store before you go. Listings can change, and a missing label does not prove a store has no scanner.
The locator describes New Balance stores as carrying footwear, apparel and accessories, and as offering personalized, one-on-one fit service.

What the scan does
The U.S. pages don’t describe the scan itself. New Balance Japan says its scan takes about one minute. It captures foot length, width, arch height and left-right differences, and staff use the results to suggest shoes for your feet and purpose. The page lists participating Japanese official and factory stores. Treat this as Japan-specific. U.S. stores may work differently.

When comparing stores, prioritize distance and a current scanner listing. A store that confirms the service by phone is a safer trip than one that only shows the label online.
