Choose the Edge 2026 if you want a compact current model
The Edge 2026 is the clearest default for a US buyer who wants a current Edge without a large display. Its 6.3-inch screen is smaller than the Edge 2025’s 6.7-inch panel, and its rear camera setup includes a dedicated telephoto camera. That hardware makes it the more relevant model to consider if you want a separate telephoto lens; it does not prove that its photos are better.

Choose the Edge 2025 if a bigger screen and battery matter more
The Edge 2025 is the alternative to consider if you prefer a 6.7-inch display and a 5,200mAh battery over the Edge 2026’s more compact design. Motorola describes the 2025 phone as having a four-lens camera system. The Edge 2026’s dedicated telephoto camera is a clearer specification if that particular lens type matters to you, but the available specifications do not establish which phone takes better pictures overall.

Motorola’s Edge 2025 product page attributes a 2025 Gold Label for battery performance to DXOMARK and advertises up to two days’ power. Treat the duration as Motorola’s claim rather than a guaranteed result: actual battery life depends on use and conditions, and no independent comparative endurance result is established here. Check the phone’s current price and availability before deciding it is better value than the 2026 model.

Consider the Edge 2024 only after checking the exact listing
The cited Motorola page lists a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, a 6.6-inch pOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, up to 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, and an IP68 rating. It does not establish the model’s current US availability or price, so its age and specifications alone are not enough to make it a value recommendation.
If you find one for sale, verify the precise model and storage, whether it is new or refurbished, its network compatibility, the seller’s return terms, and the final price. Compare that price with the Edge 2025 and Edge 2026 available to you rather than assuming an older phone is a bargain.

Understand water-resistance ratings before relying on them
Do not treat an IP rating as a waterproof guarantee. Motorola’s Edge 2025 user guide says resistance decreases with normal wear and that the phone is “Not designed to work while submerged underwater.” The guide frames the rating in terms of laboratory-tested water resistance; that warning is specific to the Edge 2025 and should not be assumed to describe every Edge model identically.
