Choose your first Huss Valley ability by role, not by a universal tier list. If you play Runner and the live shop offers a movement-extending ability, a third-party guide recommends that general category first. If you play Chaser, the same guide points toward utility with a short cooldown or crowd-control effects. That advice is conditional: Ve3’s official Roblox listing does not publish the ability roster, effects, prices, cooldowns, role restrictions, or a recommended unlock order. Check the ability cards and costs in your current client before spending Gems.
What the official game information confirms
The official Roblox page for [UPDATE 4] Huss Valley, published by Ve3, confirms how to activate an equipped ability: press Q on a keyboard or Circle (B) on a controller. The listing describes the experience as “Survive Huss Valley super dangerous… Folk valley location” and was shown as updated on August 20, 2026.

It does not list ability names, explain their effects, show unlock prices, state cooldowns, identify role restrictions, or recommend a first purchase. This conditional rule comes from the Huss Valley Wiki abilities guide. It is editorial advice rather than an official ranking or a documented performance test. Treat “movement extender,” “utility” and “crowd control” as effect categories, not as guaranteed names of abilities in your shop.

Why there is no verified first-purchase ranking
The official page leaves the important fields blank
Because the Roblox listing does not provide an ability roster or statistics, it cannot establish which option is cheapest, strongest, easiest to use or best value per Gem. It also cannot confirm whether an ability works for Runner, Chaser or both. Any exact ranking presented as a developer recommendation would go beyond the available evidence.
Third-party guides describe different systems
The Huss Valley Wiki guide frames the decision around role-specific ability effects. A separate MMO Rocks guide, marked as checked in-game on October 3, 2026 and updated October 4, 2026, describes permanent Runner ability unlocks, consumable items and a loadout containing a Runner ability, Chaser ability and item slots. That account does not line up perfectly with the other guide’s framing.
The disagreement matters. It may reflect a version change, different terminology, separate role screens or simply different interpretations of the client. Do not merge both descriptions into one assumed ruleset. Open the current game and use the labels, slot names and purchase prompts you actually see.
How to inspect the live shop before buying
Use this procedure whenever you enter a new version or see advice written for a different date. It avoids spending currency based on an outdated screenshot or a guide that describes another loadout model.

- Open the current ability or loadout screen. Record whether the game separates Runner and Chaser abilities, shows one shared list, or offers separate tabs. Do not assume the slot structure described by either guide is universal.
- Identify the role attached to each card. Look for explicit Runner or Chaser labels. If no role is shown, check the purchase confirmation and equip screen rather than inferring eligibility from the ability’s name.
- Read the effect text word for word. Classify the card as movement, utility, control or another category only after reading its current description. A guide’s category may not match a renamed or reworked ability.
- Write down the displayed cost. Capture the currency, one-time price and any warning that the purchase is consumable. No reliable comparative price order is established by the cited sources.
- Check cooldown and duration information. A “powerful” effect with a long cooldown can play very differently from a modest effect that is available every encounter. If the client does not display a value, mark it unknown instead of guessing.
- Check the equip destination. Confirm whether the purchase fills a Runner ability slot, Chaser ability slot, item slot or another location. This is especially important because the MMO Rocks description includes all three kinds of slots while the other guide discusses ability choices differently.
- Compare the card with your normal match plan. Ask whether you need to escape, reach a target, interrupt an action, or create information and setup. Choose the effect that solves your most common problem, not the flashiest description.
- Confirm the final prompt. Before selecting Buy, make sure the card is the one you inspected and that the displayed cost is acceptable. Take a screenshot for your own reference if the interface changes between sessions.
Choosing first as a Runner
When a movement extender is the sensible opening
Runner survival usually depends on creating distance, changing position or reaching a safer route before a Chaser closes the gap. For that reason, the Huss Valley Wiki’s tentative recommendation is to prioritize a generally useful movement extender when one is available. “Movement extender” can mean any effect whose main purpose is to increase travel, escape or repositioning; the guide does not establish a single official ability name.
Favor this category when the live card shows a repeatable benefit that applies across ordinary routes rather than only one unusual map interaction. A movement effect is more attractive if its cooldown fits the frequency of your chases, its duration is clearly stated, and it can be activated reliably from your Runner slot.
When not to buy movement immediately
- The card is restricted to a role you are not currently playing.
- The shop shows a very long cooldown or a one-use consumable and you prefer a repeatable option.
- The effect only works in a narrow situation that rarely occurs on the maps you play.
- You are still learning the controls and have not confirmed that the ability activates from the displayed Runner slot.
- You switch to Chaser often and the purchase cannot be used, shared or refunded across roles according to the current prompt.
These are decision checks, not claims about hidden Huss Valley mechanics. Use the values and restrictions shown in your own client.

Why utility or control may come first
The same third-party guide points Chaser players toward cooldown-light utility or crowd control. Utility can help create an opening, reveal or constrain a Runner, while crowd control can interrupt movement or make a target easier to pressure. The recommendation is based on role logic, not on a published win-rate dataset.

“Cooldown-light” means the displayed recovery time is short enough to matter in repeated encounters compared with the other cards you can currently afford. Do not assume that a label such as stun, slow, reveal or trap exists in the current game; classify only the effects the live description actually states.
Questions to ask before buying a Chaser ability
- Does the effect help you begin a chase, maintain contact or secure a down?
- Can it affect more than one Runner, or does it require a precise single target?
- Is the cooldown short enough to use in multiple engagements?
- Does the card state a range, duration, line-of-sight rule or other condition?
- Is it a permanent unlock, a consumable purchase or an item placed in a separate slot?
If the answer to those questions is not visible, treat the missing information as unknown. A guide cannot supply a verified value that the current client does not display.
If you play both roles
Players who alternate between Runner and Chaser should not automatically buy the first role-specific recommendation. First determine whether the game gives you separate role slots, a shared inventory or a permanent unlock that can be equipped in different places. The MMO Rocks guide describes a loadout with Runner ability, Chaser ability and item slots, but the official listing does not confirm that arrangement and the other guide describes choices differently.
If the shop clearly supports separate permanent slots and you have enough currency for both, prioritize the role you play most often. If the purchase is consumable or role-bound, wait until you know which side you will use in your next sessions. A flexible utility effect can be preferable for a mixed player only when the card explicitly says it works in both contexts; do not infer cross-role compatibility from a generic name.

How to compare two cards without a tier list

The game’s documented activation inputs are Q on keyboard and Circle/B on controller. Practice the input in a low-risk moment so you know which slot responds before judging an ability’s usefulness.

Buying from an old video or screenshot
Names, prices and slots can change. Compare any external recommendation with the card currently visible in your client, especially because the MMO Rocks article and the Huss Valley Wiki guide do not describe an identical setup.
Treating a category as a guaranteed ability name
“Movement extender” and “crowd control” are analytical categories. They are not proof that a specific named ability exists, costs a particular amount or has a particular cooldown.

Ignoring consumables and slot rules
The MMO Rocks description explicitly discusses consumable items alongside permanent Runner abilities and multiple loadout slots. Because the official page does not resolve those mechanics, check whether Buy grants a permanent unlock, one match, one charge or an equip-only item.
Expecting a proven win-rate answer
Neither cited guide supplies a comparative dataset for win rate, survival rate or value per Gem. Use the role-based recommendation as a starting hypothesis, then judge the card by its displayed effect and your own repeatable match experience rather than by an invented percentage.
A practical first-session checklist
- Identify whether you are buying for Runner, Chaser or both.
- Open every currently affordable card and read the exact effect text.
- Mark each card’s stated cooldown, duration, range and target conditions; write “not stated” when the client omits a value.
- Record the displayed price and whether the purchase is permanent or consumable.
- For Runner, inspect movement-extending options first when they are genuinely available.
- For Chaser, inspect utility or control options with the shortest clearly displayed cooldown.
- Check the destination slot and activation input before confirming the purchase.
- Recheck the shop after an update rather than assuming an older guide still matches the game.
Bottom line
There is no officially verified first ability in Huss Valley. Start with a movement extender for Runner if the current shop actually offers one; start by examining cooldown-light utility or crowd control for Chaser. Those are conditional recommendations from a third-party guide, not developer rankings. Since another guide describes a different loadout model and the official Roblox listing supplies only the controls—Q on keyboard and Circle/B on controller—verify the live role, effect, slot, cooldown and cost before you spend.
