The best glossy OLED monitor depends on whether you want 4K detail, very high refresh rates, or a larger screen—and how much glare your room allows. These five picks are feature-based choices, not a tested ranking: manufacturers publish the specifications, but there is no apples-to-apples independent comparison establishing a single winner.
Five glossy OLED monitors, matched to different priorities
“Glossy OLED” is not one uniform panel type. LG labels its 32GX850A-B glossy OLED, while ASUS uses “TrueBlack Glossy” for specific WOLED models. ASUS also distinguishes those from its semi-glossy QD-OLED models. Check the finish on the exact SKU rather than assuming every OLED monitor has the same surface.

| Pick | Model and finish | Published size and modes | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact 4K with a high-speed option | ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM; TrueBlack Glossy true Tandem RGB OLED | 26.5-inch; 4K at up to 240Hz or FHD at up to 480Hz; stated 0.03ms response time | Choose it if you want a compact high-resolution screen and the option to switch to a faster, lower-resolution mode. |
| Large-screen dual-mode flexibility | LG UltraGear 32GX850A-B; LG calls it Glossy OLED | 32-inch; 4K at up to 165Hz or FHD at up to 330Hz; stated 0.03ms GtG | A 32-inch option for buyers who want 4K or a faster FHD mode. LG says the higher refresh rates depend on a supported graphics card and connection. |
| Large 4K with the same speed choices | ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM; TrueBlack Glossy true Tandem RGB OLED | 31.5-inch; 4K at up to 240Hz or FHD at up to 480Hz; stated 0.03ms response time | Consider it if you want a larger 4K display and value its listed dual-mode rates. |
| Speed-first 27-inch option | ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W; TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED | 27-inch, 1440p at 540Hz or 720p at 720Hz; stated 0.02ms response time | For buyers prioritizing refresh rate over 4K resolution. Confirm regional availability and the exact SKU before choosing. |
| Large-format 5K alternative | Alienware AW3926QW; Dell describes it as RGB stripe tandem OLED | 39-inch, 5K; published modes of 165Hz or 330Hz; stated 0.03ms response time | A large-screen choice for buyers drawn to a 5K format. Confirm the physical format and details of the 330Hz mode on the current regional product page. |
The table reflects published specifications, not a controlled comparison. ASUS’s PG27UCWM and PG32UCWM pages also describe a true RGB stripe design without the white subpixel used in conventional WOLED; that is a manufacturer description, not a guarantee of how text will look in your setup.

Which size and resolution make sense for your desk?
Choose 27-inch-class models for a more compact setup
The ASUS PG27UCWM is 26.5 inches and 4K, while the PG27AQWP-W is 27 inches and 1440p. The ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen2 is another 27-inch-family TrueBlack Glossy WOLED, with ASUS listing 240Hz and 0.03ms for the model family. ASUS positions it as an accessible entry to its OLED line; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independently established price comparison.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. - Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For a 27-inch 1440p option between the speed-first PG27AQWP-W and the XG27AQDMG Gen2’s listed 240Hz, ASUS also lists the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG: TrueBlack Glossy Tandem OLED, 280Hz, and 0.03ms response time. Consider these models if 1440p suits your games and desk better than a 4K panel.
Choose 31.5–32 inches if you want more screen area
The ASUS PG32UCWM is 31.5 inches and offers the same published 4K 240Hz or FHD 480Hz modes as the PG27UCWM. LG’s 32GX850A-B is 32 inches, with 4K 165Hz or FHD 330Hz modes. Compare the refresh-rate pair you would actually use as well as the diagonal: switching to FHD is a resolution trade-off, not a way to keep 4K while raising refresh.

Consider 39-inch 5K only if the footprint suits your room
Dell identifies the AW3926QW as 39-inch 5K. That is a substantial change from a 27- or 32-inch monitor, so check desk width, viewing distance, and the exact physical format before buying. The supplied specifications establish the size and resolution, but do not establish a universally ideal viewing distance.
Will a glossy finish work in your room?
Glossy surfaces can show reflections from windows, lamps, or bright objects facing the display. Think about where those light sources sit relative to your screen, and whether you can reposition either the monitor or the light. A glossy label alone does not tell you how a particular monitor will handle your room’s reflections.

If glare is likely to be distracting, compare matte options too. RTINGS’ OLED buying guide, updated September 2, 2026, says its cited matte OLED option handles reflections better but produces less clear images. That is a model-specific comparison, not a rule that every matte display outperforms every glossy one.

Check modes, connections, and support before buying
- Verify the mode you need. A dual-mode monitor offers different resolution-and-refresh combinations. Confirm that your graphics card, connection, and intended device support the specific mode; LG explicitly notes this dependency for higher refresh rates on the 32GX850A-B.
- Match ports to your equipment. ASUS identifies DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 on the PG27UCWM and PG32UCWM. LG lists HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 on its product page. Check the current regional specification sheet and the port on your GPU or console rather than relying on the monitor’s headline refresh rate.
- Check warranty terms for your country and SKU. ASUS lists a three-year warranty for the 2025 PG27AQWP-W and XG27AQWMG. Warranty coverage and terms can vary by region; verify them with the local manufacturer or retailer.
- Review OLED care features. ASUS lists OLED Care Pro and proximity-sensor features on its models. These are manufacturer-listed features; check the model’s page for what is included and how it works.
- Confirm the exact listing. Model names, regional availability, stock, and specifications can differ. Check that the seller’s listing matches the full model number before ordering.
How to make the final choice
- Set your size limit. Decide whether your desk suits a compact 27-inch-class display, a 31.5–32-inch screen, or a 39-inch model.
- Choose the resolution you will actually use. Favor 4K if detail is the priority; consider 1440p if your preference is a faster refresh mode or a lower-resolution 27-inch setup.
- Pick a refresh-rate mode that fits your hardware. Check the required connection and confirm your PC or console can use the selected resolution and refresh combination.
- Assess room lighting. If you cannot control reflections, compare a matte alternative and weigh its reflection handling against the image clarity trade-off described by RTINGS for its cited model.
- Verify the local SKU, warranty, and current specifications. Do this on the manufacturer’s regional page or the retailer’s exact product listing before you commit.
