How to choose by the way you work
For documents, spreadsheets, and everyday tasks
The U2724D is a QHD option with an adjustable stand and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Dell also lists extensive color coverage, including 100% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3. Those are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish that the monitor will improve comfort or productivity. Its USB-C upstream port does not provide laptop power, so it is not a one-cable charging solution.

For frequent video calls and fewer desk cables
The P2726DEV combines a built-in webcam with an upstream USB-C connection that carries DisplayPort video and data and provides up to 90 W of power delivery. It also includes RJ45 1GbE Ethernet and a downstream USB-C port rated for up to 15 W. This is the most integrated choice in this shortlist if you want conferencing hardware and hub functions in the monitor.

The P2725QE is listed as a 27-inch 4K display (3840 × 2160), compared with the 2560 × 1440 QHD resolution of the U2724D, P2726DEV, and P2725DE. Dell lists USB-C power delivery up to 90 W and Ethernet for the P2725QE. Choose it when 4K is your priority, and check the listing for the exact configuration available in your region.

For QHD plus hub and multi-monitor features
The P2725DE pairs QHD resolution with up to 90 W USB-C power delivery, Ethernet, and a DisplayPort out connection with MST. MST can be useful in a multi-display setup, but the desired arrangement depends on your laptop and operating system; verify support before relying on it.
Does the USB-C port charge your laptop?
Not necessarily. “USB-C” describes the connector, not every capability it supports. Dell identifies the U2724D’s upstream USB-C port as data-only, while the P2726DEV, P2725QE, and P2725DE are listed with upstream USB-C power delivery up to 90 W. Check both the monitor’s listing and your laptop’s specifications: the laptop must support display output over the connection, and the monitor’s available wattage must meet the laptop’s needs.

Check compatibility and desk setup before buying
- Confirm display output. Check whether your laptop can send video through its USB-C port or whether you will use HDMI or another supported input. Dell says the U2724D works with Mac devices over USB-C or HDMI, but cautions that some features may not be supported and that select M-series chips may have limitations.
- Match power delivery to the laptop. If you want the monitor to charge your laptop, choose a model with USB-C power delivery and confirm that its stated maximum is adequate for your computer. The U2724D’s upstream USB-C is data-only.
- List the ports your desk actually needs. Ethernet, downstream USB-C, and DisplayPort out with MST differ by model. Confirm the exact regional configuration on the product listing rather than assuming every monitor in a series has the same ports.
- Check stand adjustment and included configuration. Dell lists height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment for the U2724D and P2725QE. Confirm the included stand and regional configuration on the listing for the specific model you plan to order.
- Verify multi-monitor requirements. Dell says daisy-chaining multiple displays with one cable requires Thunderbolt connectivity. For the P2725DE’s DisplayPort out with MST, check your laptop and operating-system support for the intended setup.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The resolution, refresh rate, ports, color coverage, and adjustment options above are manufacturer-listed specifications. They help narrow the choice, but they are not a substitute for independent comparative testing or a guarantee of personal comfort, image quality in every workflow, or improved eyesight. Prices, stock, ratings, availability, and regional configurations can change; consult the current Dell product page before making a purchase.
