HMD does not have one worldwide phone range. Availability is set by both country and model. HMD’s international catalogue warns that “Device availability varies from country to country,” and says the devices displayed there are not available in Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands or Belgium. To find out whether a specific phone—such as the HMD Skyline—is sold where you live, start at the official HMD smartphone catalogue, switch to your country or regional store, open the model page and look for a local purchase path. Treat a model’s appearance in the international catalogue as a starting point, not proof that it can be shipped to you.
What HMD’s country availability actually means
HMD organizes its phone business by market. A phone can be listed in the international catalogue while being absent from a particular country store, offered only through selected retailers, or unavailable for delivery to that destination. The catalogue’s wording is deliberately narrow: “Device availability varies from country to country.” That means there is no reliable global list in which every model is sold everywhere.

The international catalogue also explicitly states that the devices shown there are not available in Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands or Belgium. The United Kingdom catalogue is presented as a UK selection and repeats those exclusions for the devices shown. These statements apply to the catalogue experience and the products displayed there; they should not be interpreted as a permanent ban on every future HMD model or every sales channel in those countries.
A country selector on HMD’s store is the practical indicator of which localized shopping experiences HMD currently maintains. The selector currently includes the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Cyprus, Latvia and Malta. This is a navigation list that can change, not a dated report proving that every model is stocked or shipped in each listed market.

How to check whether an HMD phone is sold in your country
- Open the international catalogue. Go to https://www.hmd.com/en_int/smartphones. This is the broadest official starting point for current HMD smartphone listings.
- Choose a regional or country experience. Use the International selector or the country and language control exposed by the site. Select the destination where the phone will actually be delivered, not a country you are merely visiting.
- Search for the exact model. Open the product page for the phone you want. Product names can be similar, and a regional page may show a narrower range than the international page.
- Look for a Shop or purchase path. A local “Shop” button, price and checkout route are stronger evidence of local availability than a catalogue card alone. If the model page has specifications but no purchase route, do not assume HMD is taking orders in that market.
- Check the destination during checkout. Confirm that the delivery-address form accepts your country and that shipping is offered to your postcode or region. A site can display a product while excluding particular destinations at the final step.
- Record the exact variant. Note the model name, storage and memory configuration, colour, single- or dual-SIM format and any regional product code shown on the local page. Different variants can have different network support or availability.
- Verify the purchase conditions before paying. Read the displayed delivery estimate, taxes, warranty and returns information. If you are using another retailer, confirm that it is an authorized seller and that the same variant is being offered.
Repeat this process whenever you are checking a new model. HMD can change a country catalogue without changing the international page, and a product can sell out after a page has been published.
What the current HMD catalogues show
The international page currently presents a broad set of HMD-branded phones and feature phones. The UK experience shows a smaller, market-specific selection. The difference demonstrates why checking the local storefront is essential.

The two lists are not meant to be combined into a single worldwide inventory. For example, the UK page includes HMD Fusion X1 even though that model is not in the international list summarized above, while several international entries do not appear in the UK selection. Such differences are normal for a country-specific catalogue.

Start with the model page
Search for “HMD Skyline” on the international catalogue and open its product page. Confirm that the page identifies the exact phone you want rather than a similarly named accessory or regional variant.

Switch the storefront before judging availability
Use the country selector to load the storefront for your delivery destination. Do not infer availability from the international page’s language, currency or URL alone. A localized page may remove the model, replace the Shop button with a retailer link, or show a different configuration.
Follow the purchase path to the delivery stage
If a Shop link is present, proceed far enough to enter the destination country or postcode. Stop before payment if you are only checking. The result should tell you whether HMD will accept the order, what delivery charge and tax treatment are shown, and which variant is being supplied.
Compare the listing with the network requirements where you live
Before ordering an imported or cross-border unit, compare the listed LTE and 5G bands with those used by your carrier. A phone can be genuine and unlocked yet provide limited coverage if its regional radio configuration differs. The product specification and your carrier’s band information should be checked together; neither one alone guarantees service.
Official local store versus an imported or marketplace phone
If HMD does not offer a direct local checkout, a third-party listing may be the only visible route. It also shifts more risk to the buyer. Use these checks to compare the two paths before deciding.

None of these checks turns an imported phone into an officially supported local product. They simply expose the costs and obligations that can be hidden by a marketplace listing.
What to verify before placing an order
- Destination eligibility: Make sure the seller explicitly accepts orders to your country and, where relevant, your region or island. “Ships internationally” is not specific enough.
- Exact model and configuration: Match the model name, storage, memory, colour and regional code between the product page, cart and invoice.
- Radio bands and SIM format: Compare LTE and 5G band support with your carrier. Check whether the device uses the SIM or eSIM arrangement you need.
- Taxes and import charges: Determine whether VAT or sales tax is collected at checkout and whether customs or brokerage can be charged on delivery.
- Warranty territory: Find out whether the warranty is valid in your country, who performs repairs and where a return must be sent.
- Return logistics: Read the time limit, condition requirements and shipping responsibility. A cross-border return can cost more than expected.
- Seller status: Prefer an authorized seller or a seller that provides a traceable invoice and clear business address. Avoid listings that omit the phone’s intended market.
- Stock status: Distinguish “in stock,” “pre-order,” “ships later” and “available from a partner.” These labels imply different delivery risks.
- Software and support language: Confirm that the device and support materials are offered in a language you can use and that local update or repair support is available.
Why a model can appear but still be unavailable
The catalogue is broader than the local range
HMD uses the international page to present products across markets. A country storefront can omit a model because it has not launched there, has been withdrawn, or is not being sold directly.
Stock has changed
A product page can remain online after inventory reaches zero. The Shop button, stock message and checkout result are more current than a search result or an old review.

The phone is sold through a different channel
Some markets may direct shoppers to a local retailer rather than HMD’s own checkout. Follow the link shown on the localized product page and apply the seller, warranty and band checks above.

Shipping restrictions apply at checkout
Warehouses, batteries, customs rules or regional commercial terms can restrict delivery even when the model is visible. Only a destination-specific checkout confirms that an order can be completed.
If your country or model is not listed
- Recheck the country selector and confirm that you selected the destination, not a neighbouring market.
- Search the international catalogue for the exact model spelling and open any regional variant shown.
- Look for a local retailer or partner link on the country page, then verify seller identity, warranty territory and delivered cost.
- If importing is your only option, compare the model code and network bands with your carrier before paying.
- Save screenshots or a PDF of the product, price, warranty and delivery terms. Storefront content can change before you need to make a return.
- If no official or clearly authorized route exists, treat the phone as unsupported in your market and weigh the repair, return and network risks against the purchase price.
Do not use the presence of a model in another country’s store as evidence that HMD will forward it to you. Country stores are separate purchasing experiences, and availability can change by model.
Practical checklist for a local availability decision
- Have you opened the official HMD catalogue and selected your actual country?
- Does the localized model page show a Shop or verified retailer path?
- Does checkout accept your delivery address?
- Is the exact storage, memory and regional variant identified?
- Are LTE and 5G bands suitable for your carrier?
- Are taxes, delivery and possible import charges included in the amount you will pay?
- Do the warranty and return terms cover your country?
- Can you identify the seller and obtain a valid invoice?
- Is the stock status current rather than a generic catalogue listing?
If any answer is “no” or “unclear,” the phone is not yet confirmed as locally available. Resolve that point before placing an order.
