If it is a video hosted on YouTube, use YouTube’s Loop control. Dropbox’s Embedder is not the right tool for either kind of video embedding: Dropbox says it does not support audio or video.
Loop a video file stored in Dropbox
- Sign in at dropbox.com.
- Open All files and click the video’s filename to open its preview.
- Turn on the repeat control in the preview. Dropbox also documents repeat playback in its mobile app.
Dropbox says users can preview video files stored in their accounts and repeat them; the feature is available to all users. This plays the Dropbox file in Dropbox’s preview—it does not import or loop a video hosted on YouTube.
Limits on streaming a shared Dropbox video
Dropbox’s playback FAQ lists streaming-length limits according to the file owner’s account type. These are Dropbox service limits, not recommended video lengths:

Dropbox also says preview resolution can adjust to viewing conditions, including internet speed, the uploaded video’s resolution, and screen size.

Loop a video hosted on YouTube
Open the video on its YouTube watch screen and use the YouTube player’s own loop setting:
- Desktop: Right-click inside the video player and select Loop.
- Mobile: Open Settings, then Additional settings, and select Loop video.
This repeats the YouTube-hosted video in YouTube’s player. A Dropbox link or preview is not needed.

Why Dropbox Embedder will not loop a video
Dropbox’s developer documentation says its Embedder component does not support audio or video. It can display supported shared-link previews, but it is not the supported way to embed a video—whether you want to repeat a Dropbox file or a YouTube-hosted video.
