Choose based on the games you want and the platform you own: Anniversary is the early-series sampler, Advance collects the Game Boy Advance-era games, Dominus has the Nintendo DS trilogy, and Requiem pairs Symphony of the Night with Rondo of Blood on PlayStation. No one collection covers all four lineups, and the largest game count is not automatically the best fit.
Which Castlevania collection fits you?
| Collection | Games included | Best fit | Officially listed platforms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anniversary | Castlevania; Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest; Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse; Super Castlevania IV; Castlevania: The Adventure; Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge; Castlevania: Bloodlines; Kid Dracula | Early console and handheld games, especially classic stage-by-stage action | PS4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Xbox Series X|S |
| Advance | Circle of the Moon; Harmony of Dissonance; Aria of Sorrow; Dracula X | The GBA-era games, particularly Aria of Sorrow | PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC/Steam |
| Dominus | Dawn of Sorrow; Portrait of Ruin; Order of Ecclesia; Haunted Castle Revisited; original Haunted Castle | The DS trilogy, plus two versions of an arcade game | Switch, PS5, Steam, Xbox Series X|S |
| Requiem | Symphony of the Night; Rondo of Blood | Players specifically seeking those two games on a supported PlayStation platform | PlayStation Store exclusive; Konami’s catalog lists PS4 |
The lineup and platform details for Anniversary and the Konami Anniversary page identify it as the broad early-series option. Konami lists the four games and platforms for Advance, and the five-game package and platforms for Dominus. Konami’s Requiem announcement describes its two-game package and PlayStation Store exclusivity; its product catalog lists PS4.

Choose by the kind of Castlevania you want
For classic stage-by-stage action: Anniversary
Anniversary is the natural starting point if you want to follow the series’ early console and handheld lineage or prefer the traditional stage-based entries. Its eight games make it the broadest early-series sampler here, not a collection of every classic-era release.

For the GBA era and Aria of Sorrow: Advance
Advance contains Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow, alongside Dracula X. Konami highlights Aria of Sorrow’s Tactical Souls system. Do not confuse Dracula X in this collection with Rondo of Blood, which is in Requiem.

Dominus brings together Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes the original arcade Haunted Castle and Haunted Castle Revisited.
For Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood: Requiem
Requiem is the targeted choice if those two games are your priority. It is not a general multi-era collection: Konami describes it as a PlayStation Store exclusive, and its catalog lists PS4. The original 2018 announcement described 4K/1080p upscaling, high-resolution backgrounds, rendering options, trophies, and English and Japanese voice options for Symphony of the Night. Its announced US suggested retail price of $19.99 was historical, not a current price.

Check platform and regional availability before buying
- Requiem: Konami describes it as PlayStation Store exclusive and lists PS4 in its catalog. Do not assume it is available on PC, Xbox, or Switch.
- Dominus on Steam: Steam warns that it may not be available in some regions. Check your regional store listing before choosing it.
- Every collection: Confirm the current storefront listing for your region and platform; platform catalogs and availability can change.
Should you buy the three-collection Steam bundle?
Steam lists a bundle containing Anniversary, Advance, and Dominus. It does not include Requiem. Bundle pricing and discounts are live, region-sensitive storefront details rather than stable prices; compare the current bundle and individual listings in your own store before deciding whether it saves money. The Steam page also flags regional availability limits for Dominus. Check the Steam bundle listing for its current contents and regional terms.

- Check your platform first. In particular, Requiem’s PlayStation limitation can rule it out.
- Pick your preferred style. If you want straightforward stage progression, start with Anniversary. If you want exploration and character or system progression, compare Advance and Dominus by their game lineups.
- Choose the era whose games interest you. Go with Advance for the GBA trio, including Aria of Sorrow; Dominus for the DS trilogy; Anniversary for the early lineage.
- Check the current regional store page and price. A bigger lineup or a bundle is not automatically better value if it contains games you do not want or cannot access.
These recommendations follow the packages’ contents and publisher feature descriptions. The official pages reviewed do not establish a comparable critic score, completion-time measure, or owner survey that would support an objective overall ranking.
