As of October 4, 2026, a current GTA BOOM guide lists 31 vehicles that can receive Hao’s Special Works (HSW) upgrades. HSW is available in GTA Online on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Enhanced. To apply an upgrade, take an eligible personal vehicle to the LS Car Meet and use Hao’s workshop. Compatibility does not mean a vehicle is the fastest choice for every race, or that it is allowed in every HSW time trial.
Cars compatible with HSW upgrades
The following 31 vehicles appear on GTA BOOM’s current HSW roster. It is a secondary guide’s catalogue, not a consolidated official Rockstar list, so check the in-game workshop after updates in case eligibility changes.

HSW features are available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Enhanced version of GTA V on PC. Rockstar introduced the workshop on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, then brought HSW features to PC Enhanced. Rockstar’s update 1.72 notes also identify the Vapid FMJ MK V as HSW-upgradeable on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and GTAV Enhanced.
#1 Best Overall
- STUNNING VISUALS — Enhanced levels of fidelity and performance with new graphics modes featuring up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, HDR options, ray tracing, improved texture quality, and more
- FASTER LOADING — Quicker access to the action as the world of Los Santos and Blaine County load in faster than ever before.
- ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS AND HAPTIC FEEDBACK — Feel every moment through the DualSense controller, from directional damage to weather effects, rough road surfaces to explosions, and more.
- TEMPEST 3D AUDIO — Hear the sounds of the world with pinpoint precision: the throttle of a stolen supercar, the rattle of neighbouring gunfire, the roar of a helicopter overhead, and more.
- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the European version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
If you are playing a different edition, do not assume that owning an eligible car is enough: HSW availability depends on the game version, not just the vehicle. Rockstar describes the workshop as a place for select vehicle upgrades designed to take advantage of the newer console hardware.
How to apply an HSW upgrade
- Use GTA Online on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC Enhanced.
- Bring an eligible personal vehicle to the LS Car Meet.
- Enter Hao’s workshop and choose the HSW conversion or modifications available for that vehicle.
- Review the in-game total before confirming. The vehicle purchase and HSW conversion are separate costs, and extra performance or cosmetic modifications can raise the bill.
Check the current in-game prices and availability before spending; they can change.

How to choose among compatible cars
The HSW roster tells you which vehicles can be upgraded, not which one is best for you. For a purchase decision, compare the base vehicle’s cost plus the HSW conversion, its class and handling, and the races or driving you plan to do. A vehicle’s eligibility alone does not establish that it will be fastest on a particular course.

The Weaponized Ignus illustrates that difference: it is on the reported upgrade roster, while the cited time-trial guide excludes it from HSW Time Trials.
