1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThere is no single best budget 24-inch monitor for every buyer. For everyday Full HD use, compare IPS models such as LG’s 24MK600M-B, 24MK430H-B and 24MP450-B; for a faster refresh rate, Lenovo lists its 23.8-inch L24-4e at 100 Hz; and for laptop connectivity and an adjustable stand, Dell’s P2426H offers USB-C power delivery up to 90 W. Match the exact model’s specifications, ports and local price to how you plan to use it.
What “24-inch” means—and what it does not
“24-inch” is a product size class, not a guarantee that the viewable screen measures exactly 24.0 inches diagonally. LG, for example, specifies a 23.8-inch diagonal for the 24MK430H-B while describing it as a 24-inch-class monitor. Check the listed diagonal if desk fit or a close size comparison matters. Full HD, or 1920 × 1080, is a common resolution among the cited models. At this screen size it provides a straightforward option for office work, study, browsing and casual play. The label alone does not tell you the refresh rate, stand range, ports or whether adaptive sync is supported; check those separately.

Choose by what you do at the screen
Office work and study
Prioritize a stand that lets you set a comfortable viewing position, then check that the monitor has the inputs your computer needs. The P2426H listing specifies height, swivel and tilt adjustment, along with HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C power delivery up to 90 W. If you expect one USB-C cable to handle both display and laptop charging, confirm compatibility and the laptop’s requirements rather than assuming the connector alone guarantees it.
Casual gaming
Compare refresh rate and adaptive-sync support, then check that the chosen input and graphics hardware can use them. Lenovo lists the L24-4e at 100 Hz; LG lists FreeSync on the 24MK600M-B. Those are different features, and neither establishes a universal gaming advantage without the rest of the setup. Check the exact model’s specifications before purchase.

Competitive gaming
Start with the refresh rate the display actually supports and whether your computer can deliver a matching frame rate. The cited product information establishes 100 Hz for the L24-4e and 60 Hz for the P2426H; it does not establish that either is the best competitive-gaming choice. Verify the full specification and supported refresh rate for the particular input you intend to use.
How to compare budget monitors before buying
- Set a local spending limit. Search current prices in your country and compare like-for-like listings. A price shown in one U.S. catalog or an editorial guide is not a stable market ceiling or a guaranteed offer.
- Choose the screen size and resolution. Confirm the stated diagonal if the difference between 23.8 and 24 inches matters, and decide whether Full HD 1920 × 1080 meets your work and viewing needs.
- Match the panel and motion features to the task. Compare the listed panel type, refresh rate and adaptive-sync support; do not infer one specification from another.
- Check the connection path. Match available HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C connections to the computer. For USB-C charging, confirm the stated power delivery and laptop compatibility.
- Check desk ergonomics and extras. Look for height, swivel and tilt adjustment if you need them. If speakers matter, confirm that the exact listing includes them rather than assuming they are standard.
- Read the purchase terms. Verify the regional model suffix, stock, warranty and return policy with the seller before ordering.
Why prices do not identify a universal winner
At the time of access, Dell’s U.S. catalog displayed $164.99 with a $179.99 market price for the P2426H. DisplayNinja’s guide reported $100 for the Dell SE2426HG. These are different models and source types, not a controlled price comparison or guaranteed current offers. Check the live price in your region alongside the specifications and purchase terms.
