Which AR Glasses Keep a Work Screen Anchored: XREAL One Pro vs VITURE Beast vs RayNeo GT Max

By Freedom251 Team · · 6 min read

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

All three glasses advertise native 3DoF screen behavior, but they handle a virtual work screen in different ways. XREAL One Pro offers Anchor and Follow modes, VITURE Beast combines Anchor with Smooth Follow and other display options, and RayNeo GT Max offers Pinned, Steady, and Follow. None can be declared the best for sustained office work from the manufacturers’ published information alone.

For work, first decide whether you want a monitor to stay in a set position, move gently with your head, or remain centered in your view. Then verify that your computer or phone outputs video over USB-C and that the relevant operating system and apps support the workflow you need.

What 3DoF tracking means for a virtual work screen

Three degrees of freedom (3DoF) tracks rotational head movement—turns and tilts—so the screen can respond to the direction you face. It is not the same as 6DoF room-scale tracking, which also accounts for movement through physical space. RayNeo’s GT series support information explains its head-turn and tilt tracking and distinguishes the three native viewing modes.

The distinction matters at a desk: an anchored or pinned display can remain at a chosen position as you look away, while a follow mode keeps the display aligned with your gaze. These products’ 3DoF claims describe screen behavior; they do not by themselves establish a room-scale work setup.

XREAL xbx a01+ AR Glasses, 147'' Big-Screen Display for Movies & Gaming
  • YOUR PRIVATE 147” BIG SCREEN, ANYWHERE — Plug the a01+ into your phone, tablet, handheld, or laptop and a giant 147” screen appears in front of you—for movies, gaming, or getting work done on the couch, on a flight, or in bed. A true portable display you wear, in a soda-can-sized 210g case that drops in your pocket.
  • ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU — The screen follows your view with smooth, stabilized tracking and stays centered as you look around—nothing to anchor or set up, and no drift to reset. Press play and your big screen is simply there.
  • 62G — LIGHT ENOUGH TO FORGET — At just 62g, with three nose-pad sizes and flexible temples, the a01+ stays comfortable through a long movie or flight, even lying down.
  • LOOKS LIKE SUNGLASSES, NOT A GADGET — A slim, sunglasses-style frame with a signature semi-transparent chassis and neon logo—light and low-profile enough to actually wear out.
  • WORKS WITH YOUR USB-C GEAR — No Battery to Charge — Connects and powers over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable: iPhone 15/16/17, iPad, DP-capable Android phones, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and older (Lightning) iPhones need an adapter. For long phone sessions, add the XREAL Hub to charge and watch at once.

How the three glasses position a work screen

Model Published screen modes What the modes suggest for work
XREAL One Pro Anchor and Follow Anchor is intended to spatially anchor the screen; Follow keeps it aligned with the user’s gaze.
VITURE Beast Anchor, Smooth Follow, UltraWide, and Side Mode Offers anchored and follow-style behavior alongside other screen adjustments; VITURE associates it with its SpaceWalker productivity platform.
RayNeo GT Max Pinned, Steady, and Follow Pinned fixes the screen in one position, Steady allows subtle natural movement, and Follow keeps it centered as you move your head.

RayNeo describes its modes as: “Keeps the screen fixed in one position” for Pinned; “Stable viewing with subtle natural movement” for Steady; and “Keeps the screen centered as you move your head” for Follow. Those are the maker’s descriptions, not independent tracking measurements. See RayNeo’s GT series support page.

Choose behavior to match the task

  • One virtual monitor that should stay put: Look for an Anchor or Pinned mode. This is the closest match to keeping a screen in a chosen virtual location while shifting your gaze.
  • A display that stays in view: Follow or Smooth Follow is designed to keep the screen aligned with head direction. That can suit a movable screen, but it is a different experience from a fixed virtual monitor.
  • A middle ground: RayNeo’s Steady mode is described as allowing subtle natural movement. The published description does not quantify how much movement occurs.
  • Multiple virtual screens or a particular layout: Check the software, not only the glasses. VITURE specifically links Beast to SpaceWalker and multi-screen productivity, but its feature description is not evidence that the same workflow works on every host device.

Smart Re-Centering snaps your view back instantly.
  • 【BIGGEST: THE ULTIMATE IMMERSIVE GIANT — 174″ Screen, 58° FOV, 1200p】The largest virtual display in consumer XR. Period. • 【BOLDEST: NEXT-LEVEL CLARITY & AUDIO — 1250 Nits + HARMAN AudioEFX】1250 nits of peak brightness — over 2× brighter than the competition — means you can actually see your screen outdoors, in sunlight, no squinting required. Pair that with HARMAN AudioEFX: deeper bass, wider soundstage, and crystal-clear highs tuned by the world's leading audio engineers. Other XR glasses make you choose between picture and sound. The Beast gives you both — cranked to eleven.

Field of view, resolution, refresh rate, weight, and IPD options are useful screening details, but they do not settle text legibility or long-session comfort. The sources do not provide equivalent evidence to rank edge clarity, focus, prescription support, comfort, tracking drift, or eye strain. Do not treat screen-size marketing or a wider field-of-view number as proof that small text will be easier to read.

Check the computer, phone, and software before choosing

Glasses alone do not determine whether a virtual-monitor setup will work. Confirm that the host device can send video over USB-C DisplayPort and that the operating system and apps support the exact display arrangement you plan to use. XREAL’s specifications describe 3DoF as supported and powered by the glasses; its shop page also mentions 6DoF anchoring, but that does not establish that 6DoF comes from the glasses alone in the same setup. Check the required hardware and configuration before relying on that capability.

VITURE positions Beast with SpaceWalker for productivity and multi-screen use. Check SpaceWalker support for your host and intended app workflow rather than assuming compatibility from the glasses’ tracking modes. RayNeo’s support materials likewise advise checking a connected device’s video output and any required adapter.

  • Identify the exact computer or phone you will connect.
  • Verify that its USB-C port supports video output, rather than assuming every USB-C port does.
  • Check whether the required app supports your operating system and the number and arrangement of screens you want.
  • Confirm any adapter or additional hardware required by your setup before buying.
  • If you need prescription lenses, confirm availability and fit for the specific model.

Which model makes sense for different work setups?

Choose by the screen workflow first

  • For a fixed virtual monitor: Compare XREAL Anchor, VITURE Anchor, and RayNeo Pinned. The available descriptions explain intended screen behavior, but do not establish which has the most stable tracking in a long work session.
  • For a screen that follows your gaze: Compare XREAL Follow, VITURE Smooth Follow, and RayNeo Follow. Their labels indicate similar broad intent, not identical behavior or measured performance.
  • For multiple virtual displays: Give software compatibility priority. VITURE explicitly presents Beast with SpaceWalker productivity tools; confirm support for your device and apps before treating that as a fit.
  • For a smaller or larger field of view, or a particular fit: Compare the published specifications and check the glasses on your own face and vision needs. RayNeo lists S/M/L IPD options; the cited material does not provide a like-for-like IPD comparison across all three.

What a product page cannot decide

The available manufacturer materials do not include a controlled head-to-head test of typing, small-text clarity, tracking drift, comfort, or eye strain over long sessions. RayNeo describes GT Max as designed for power users and remote workers, but that is product positioning rather than an independent finding about sustained text work. XREAL’s and VITURE’s feature descriptions also do not establish an all-day office-work winner.

RayNeo GT Max and Dolby Vision: a separate media feature

RayNeo says GT Max supports Dolby Vision playback when paired with Pocket TV Pro and compatible Dolby Vision content. This is a conditional media feature, not evidence that GT Max is better for work. For a desk setup, host video output and the desired screen behavior remain the relevant checks. RayNeo’s support page covers connected-device requirements.

Frequently asked setup questions

Can these glasses act as a virtual monitor?

Each maker describes native 3DoF screen behavior suitable for positioning a virtual display. Whether that works as a monitor for your particular work depends on host video output, supported apps, and your ability to read and use the display comfortably.

Does native 3DoF mean I can walk around a room with a fixed screen?

No. Native 3DoF describes rotational head tracking, not position tracking through physical space. XREAL separately mentions 6DoF anchoring on its shop page, but the cited information does not establish the hardware and configuration needed for that capability.
