The right choice still depends on the exact regional model, connection, stand, and what your computer can output.
What to compare in an Acer 1080p gaming monitor
Here, 1080p means Full HD at 1920 × 1080 pixels. Acer’s Nitro name covers models with different refresh rates and specifications, so compare the complete model name and regional part number rather than relying on the series name alone. Acer also warns that specifications can vary by model and region on its Nitro EG0 family page.

- Refresh rate: A higher maximum can make motion look smoother when the computer and game can deliver enough frames.
- Panel and size: The cited models include IPS panels at around 24 inches; check the individual listing rather than assuming every Nitro 1080p monitor is the same.
- Inputs: The maximum refresh rate may depend on whether you connect over HDMI or DisplayPort.
- Ergonomics and mounting: Look for the stand adjustments you need or confirm the VESA pattern and mount capacity.
How the Acer models compare
| Model and listing | Documented specifications | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Nitro VG240Y M3, US part UM.QV0AA.302 | 23.8-inch viewable IPS; 1920 × 1080; 180 Hz; FreeSync Premium; two HDMI ports and DisplayPort 1.2; VESA 100 × 100. Acer lists 250 nits, 99% sRGB, HDR10, and 1 ms GTG. The US package listing includes an HDMI cable. | These details are for the listed US part number, not every VG240Y variant. Acer’s response-time figure is a vendor specification, not an independent comparison test. Acer US specifications. |
| Nitro XF243Y M3, UK part UM.QX3EE.001 | Full HD IPS at 180 Hz; stand supports height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot. | This is a UK listing. Confirm your local SKU and features before purchase. Acer UK specifications. |
| Nitro EG0 family, US page | Acer lists Full HD, IPS, FreeSync, 144 Hz, and 1 ms response time. | This is a family-level specification, and Acer notes that model and regional specifications vary. Check the exact model listing. Acer US EG0 page. |
| Nitro XV240 F6 | Acer’s 2024 announcement specifies 24.1 inches and Full HD, with up to 600 Hz over DisplayPort and 240 Hz over HDMI. | The 600 Hz figure applies to DisplayPort, not HDMI. The announcement’s launch windows are historical and do not establish current stock or availability. Acer News announcement, September 4, 2024. |
Which model fits your setup?
Choose the VG240Y M3 as a practical starting point
The VG240Y M3 combines a 23.8-inch IPS panel with 180 Hz and a useful mix of ports. Its US specification lists two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 connection, and FreeSync Premium. If you plan to use a monitor arm or wall mount, its specified VESA pattern is 100 × 100. The US package includes an HDMI cable, though package contents can differ by region.
Consider the XF243Y M3 if stand movement matters
The UK XF243Y M3 listing is also a Full HD IPS model rated at 180 Hz and specifically documents height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment. That makes it a relevant option when changing screen position is important, but verify the part number and included features in your market.

Treat EG0 as a family, not a single specification
Acer’s US EG0 page describes a 144 Hz Full HD IPS family with FreeSync. Because it is not a single SKU and Acer warns of regional and model differences, use it to identify a tier to investigate—not as proof that every EG0 product has identical features.
Read the XV240 F6 refresh rate by input
Acer announced the XV240 F6 with up to 600 Hz through DisplayPort and 240 Hz through HDMI. Those are distinct connection limits; a headline 600 Hz figure should not be interpreted as available from every port. Acer’s announcement also describes planned regional launch timing, not present-day retail availability.

Will your PC use the monitor’s maximum refresh rate?
A monitor’s maximum refresh rate is not a promise that a particular computer or game will reach the same frame rate. Check that your graphics card has a compatible output, connect through the input that supports the desired mode, and confirm the resolution and refresh-rate limit for that input in the exact monitor specification. The PC and game must also be capable of producing the frames; no benchmark for a particular computer or game is established here.

Response-time labels are not automatically comparable across Acer product pages. The VG240Y M3 listing says 1 ms GTG, while Acer’s Nitro RG0 family page describes 1 ms Visual Response Boost (VRB) and notes that its MPRT value comes from internal tests under specific conditions; brightness may vary when VRB is enabled. These are different labels and methods, not a standardized head-to-head result. See Acer’s Nitro RG0 page for its VRB caveat.
