These are manufacturer-specification comparisons, not independent performance rankings.
At a glance: five 65-inch Samsung TVs
Samsung’s 2025 U.S. catalog includes 65-inch 4K versions of all five models below. OLED models use self-illuminating pixels; Neo QLED models use Mini LED backlighting. That design difference helps frame the choice, but it does not by itself establish which TV is brighter, handles reflections better, or preserves more detail in dark scenes.

Which 65-inch Samsung is the best fit?
For the premium OLED specification set: S95F
The S95F combines Samsung’s OLED HDR Pro, NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, Glare Free marketing, and a published maximum refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It is the highest-priced OLED option in this shortlist by Samsung’s stated U.S. launch price. Consider it when you want the top listed OLED feature tier, but do not treat the feature list as independent proof of image quality or glare performance.

For OLED with a step down in tier: S90F
The S90F pairs OLED HDR+ with the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. Samsung lists a 120Hz native refresh rate and up to 144Hz. It gives shoppers an OLED alternative to the S95F without the same advertised maximum refresh rate or Glare Free feature. A current price was not established in the cited sources, so compare live seller listings before deciding whether the gap is worthwhile.
For premium Mini LED: QN90F
The QN90F is the Neo QLED choice with Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, Glare Free marketing, and up to 165Hz. Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement listed the 65-inch model at $2,699. Its Mini LED backlighting makes it a different display approach from OLED; the listed specifications alone do not settle how either model will perform in your room.
For a midrange Neo QLED feature set: QN80F
The QN80F uses the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor and Quantum Matrix Technology Core, and Samsung lists Dolby Atmos and up to 144Hz. The 65-inch U.S. launch price was $1,799. A later product-page snapshot showed an offer of $1,199.99 against a listed $1,799.99 price; that offer is volatile and should not be assumed available now.

For the entry OLED option in this selection: S85F
The S85F has OLED HDR, the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, and a 120Hz published refresh rate. A Samsung product-page snapshot showed $1,199.99 against $1,999.99. That snapshot is not a guaranteed current price, and the cited sources do not establish a current offer.
OLED or Neo QLED: what changes?
Samsung describes OLED as using self-illuminating pixels, while its Neo QLED models use Quantum Mini LED or Mini LED-zone backlighting. This is the core technology distinction in the shortlist: OLED does not rely on a separate backlight, while Neo QLED does. The manufacturer descriptions do not provide independent measurements of brightness, reflection handling, or dark-scene detail, so use them to understand the design rather than to predict a definitive winner.
How to weigh glare and room lighting
Samsung lists Glare Free for the S95F and QN90F, making those two models the relevant advertised-feature options if reflections are a concern. The product specifications cited here do not include independent glare measurements. If your room has strong daylight or lamps opposite the screen, consider the placement and lighting conditions as well as the label; the available facts do not establish how much reflection reduction you will see in your setup.

What the refresh-rate numbers mean for gaming
The published maximum refresh rates range from 120Hz on the S85F to up to 165Hz on the S95F and QN90F. Samsung lists up to 144Hz on the S90F and QN80F, with the S90F also specified at 120Hz native. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent tests. A refresh-rate figure by itself does not confirm compatibility with a particular console or PC configuration, nor does it establish real-world input latency.
Processor generations and listed audio features
Samsung lists the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor on the S95F, S90F, and QN90F; the S85F and QN80F use NQ4 AI Gen2. The QN80F and S85F pages also list Dolby Atmos. These labels identify advertised features, not comparative evidence about processing quality or sound performance.
Alternative if value matters more than OLED: QN70F
The QN70F is a 65-inch Neo QLED 4K model in Samsung’s 2025 U.S. lineup, with an NQ4 AI Gen2 processor and up to 144Hz listed. It may merit consideration if you want a Neo QLED option outside the five-model selection, but the cited sources do not establish its price here.
Quick Recap
Check before you buy
- Confirm the full model name and 65-inch size; Samsung’s 2025 OLED names include S85F, S90F, and S95F, while Neo QLED 4K names include QN70F, QN80F, and QN90F.
- Verify the listing’s seller, current price, stock, delivery, and return terms. Launch prices and product-page snapshots are not guarantees of today’s offer.
- Match the published refresh-rate and feature specifications to your intended devices; do not infer compatibility or latency from a maximum refresh-rate number alone.
- For bright-room concerns, note which models list Glare Free, but treat it as an advertised feature rather than a measured result.
