For a 65-inch 4K TV with a native refresh rate of at least 120Hz, the current leading choices are the Samsung S95H OLED, LG C6 OLED, LG B6 OLED, and Hisense U7SG Mini-LED. The best fit depends on your room and devices: the OLEDs suit dark rooms and wide seating, while the U7SG is the brighter-room alternative. Before buying, confirm that the exact regional model supports 4K at 120Hz or higher on the HDMI inputs you plan to use, and check its HDMI 2.1 port count and VRR support. A “120Hz” label by itself does not establish those details.

| Hisense U7SG Mini-LED LCD | 165Hz | Four HDMI 2.1 ports; up to 4K/165Hz and 1080p/330Hz; VRR | Matte finish and high brightness make it a bright-room alternative; local dimming produces deep blacks, with some motion blur versus OLED | Dolby Vision and HDR10+ |

Which one should you choose?
Choose the Samsung S95H for an OLED that handles reflections better
The S95H combines QD-OLED color and dark-room blacks with a matte finish. RTINGS names it its best overall 65-inch TV and reports four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K/165Hz support, and VRR. It is a strong match if you want OLED picture characteristics but have more ambient light or reflections than a typical dark home-theater room. Its HDR-format trade-off matters if your content or devices rely on Dolby Vision: the guide says this set supports HDR10+ but not Dolby Vision.
Choose the LG C6 for dark rooms, wide seating, and Dolby Vision
The 2026 C6 OLED is RTINGS’ upper mid-range pick. The guide lists a native 165Hz rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K/165Hz, and VRR, alongside excellent contrast in a dark room and wide viewing angles. Its reflection handling is a meaningful drawback in very bright spaces. It supports Dolby Vision but not HDR10+ according to the guide. LG’s U.S. product page identifies the 65-inch 2026 model as OLED65C6PUA; verify that the listing you are considering uses the same model identity, since regional suffixes can differ.

Choose the LG B6 if you want a 120Hz OLED for a dimmer room
The B6 is the lower-tier 2026 OLED pick and meets the native 120Hz threshold. RTINGS describes strong dark-room performance and gaming responsiveness, but says it is less bright than the higher OLED recommendations. That makes it a less suitable choice where sunlight or strong room lighting regularly washes out the picture. The guide also mentions a B6E variant as having the same performance with a more basic remote; treat that as a distinction to verify on the exact listing rather than assuming every B6-family SKU is identical.
Choose the Hisense U7SG if brightness and room lighting come first
The U7SG is a Mini-LED LCD alternative to OLED. RTINGS reports a matte finish, 165Hz native refresh, four HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, and both 4K/165Hz and 1080p/330Hz modes. Its guide positions it for very bright rooms; local dimming can deliver deep blacks, though its motion handling shows more blur than the OLED picks. Support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ gives it broader format coverage among these four recommendations.

What “120Hz” needs to mean for 4K gaming
Refresh rate describes how often a display can update each second. For this buying decision, look for the TV’s native refresh rate and a supported 4K/120Hz input mode (or higher) rather than relying on motion-rate wording or a boosted mode. A TV may accept 120Hz at a lower resolution without supporting 4K at 120Hz.
RTINGS’ guide provides a useful caution: its Vizio Mini LED Quantum 4K pick is 60Hz native, with 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz support. That does not satisfy a requirement for native 4K/120Hz, even though 120Hz appears among its supported modes. The guide’s U6SF Pro budget pick is listed at 144Hz native with two HDMI 2.1 inputs and VRR, but with lower brightness and slower response than the U7SG. These adjacent options may be worth investigating only if their precise modes meet your needs; neither description should substitute for checking the target 4K signal path.

Check the HDMI inputs before connecting your devices
HDMI 2.1 support, port count, resolution/refresh combinations, and VRR determine whether a TV can use the gaming features of your console or PC. The S95H, C6, and U7SG are each listed by RTINGS with four HDMI 2.1 ports and 4K/165Hz plus VRR. Four suitable inputs can be convenient if you connect multiple gaming devices and do not want to swap cables. The B6’s cited details establish native 120Hz and Dolby Vision, but do not give the same specific port-and-mode breakdown, so confirm those specifications for the exact model before purchase.
- Identify the exact set. Match the full model number, screen size, and regional suffix on the retailer listing to the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Find the input-mode table. Check which individual HDMI inputs accept 4K at 120Hz or higher. Do not infer that every port supports the maximum mode just because the set has HDMI 2.1.
- Count the compatible ports. Compare the number of inputs that support your desired mode with the number of consoles, PCs, or other devices you will connect.
- Confirm VRR and device compatibility. Verify that VRR is supported in the resolution and refresh mode you intend to use, and check the specifications for your source device as well as the TV.
- Match HDR formats to your content. Check whether Dolby Vision or HDR10+ matters for the services and devices you use; format support differs among the recommendations.
How room conditions change the best choice
Bright rooms and reflections
For a room with strong daylight or lamps facing the screen, the guide favors the matte S95H or U7SG. The S95H retains OLED’s dark-scene strengths, while the U7SG is the Mini-LED LCD option described for very bright rooms. The C6 can show mirror-like reflections in very bright spaces, and the B6’s lower brightness makes it the least compelling of these OLEDs for a bright room.

Dark rooms and off-center seating
The OLED picks are the natural starting point for a darker viewing space or seating spread across a wide sofa: RTINGS reports deep blacks and wide viewing angles for the OLED recommendations. The U7SG’s local dimming can produce deep blacks, but LCD local dimming may not render dark scenes in exactly the same way; the guide also notes more motion blur than on the OLED picks.

When a cheaper or non-OLED model may make sense
RTINGS also lists the U6SF Pro as its budget pick, with 144Hz native refresh, two HDMI 2.1 inputs, and VRR. It is described as less bright and slower to respond than the U7SG, so check whether those trade-offs and its two-port limit work for your room and setup. The Vizio Mini LED Quantum 4K, meanwhile, is listed as a cheap pick but does not meet a native 4K/120Hz requirement: its native rate is 60Hz and its 120Hz mode is at 1080p. The Sony BRAVIA 9 II is noted as a high-end non-OLED alternative, though RTINGS prefers the S95H overall. These are guide-specific category positions, not statements about current street prices or universal value.

What to verify on the final listing
- Exact size and model code: Confirm it is the 65-inch variant and check the full suffix, especially when comparing listings in different regions.
- Native refresh and 4K mode: Look for native 120Hz or higher and explicit 4K/120Hz (or higher) input support.
- Input-by-input specifications: Confirm which HDMI ports support the desired mode, how many such ports there are, and whether VRR works with it.
- Room fit: Consider brightness, reflection handling, seating angles, and the dark-scene performance relevant to your room.
- HDR format: Check Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support against your actual sources rather than assuming all premium TVs support both.
- Live price and availability: These can change and were not verified for these models; compare current offers after confirming the SKU.
RTINGS’ recommendation page, updated September 14, 2026, says it had bought and tested 554 TVs. That count describes the page’s test catalog; it is not a performance statistic or proof that a particular model is best for every buyer.
