Netflix had the first release window on August 27, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET; Rockstar announced the YouTube and official GTA VI website release for 9 p.m. ET that day—six hours later.
Where can you watch it now?
For a free route that does not require Netflix, use the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and look for Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. PC Gamer reported that the video was live on YouTube after the announced release. Rockstar also named the official Grand Theft Auto VI website as a release destination, though availability of an embedded video on that site may vary by device or region.

Netflix was the initial viewing option, but that was a six-hour head start, not ongoing exclusivity. The announcement established the premiere, not whether the video remains available in every country’s Netflix catalog. If you want to check Netflix, search for the title in your local catalog.

Rockstar’s announcement, quoted by Variety, gave both times in Eastern Time. ET is not a fixed UTC offset: daylight-saving rules affect the difference. For viewers elsewhere, use the stated local date and time in your own time zone rather than assuming a UTC conversion.
