Your Chime checking account number is not printed on your debit card. In the Chime app, tap Profile > Account details. On chime.com, sign in, select your name, then choose Settings > Account info. Chime lists both locations for finding your account and routing numbers: Chime Help Center.

The number printed on your debit card is card-payment information; it is not the checking account number. Chime says its virtual card has its own unique number, while both virtual and physical cards draw from the same Chime Checking Account. Card details are managed separately under Profile > Cards; the checking account number is under Profile > Account details. See Chime’s virtual-card explanation and account-settings guidance.

So if a form asks for an account number and routing number, don’t enter the debit-card number. Use the account details shown in Chime instead.
Which details to provide for common tasks
Direct deposit
Get the account and routing numbers through Move Money > Set up direct deposit or Profile > Account details, then follow your employer or payer’s instructions. Chime says the name on a deposit must match the name on the Chime account to avoid delays or returned payments: Chime direct-deposit help.

Bills paid by ACH debit
For a biller that takes recurring direct debit from a checking account, Chime says to provide the checking account and routing numbers. Retrieve them through Profile > Account details in the app or Settings > Account info on the website. Follow the biller’s own instructions for entering the information: Chime bill-payment guidance.

Third-party payment apps
Some payment apps may let you link an account with debit-card details or with account and routing numbers; those are different methods, and available features vary by provider. Use the payment app’s current instructions to choose the requested details: Chime’s third-party app guidance.

Account and routing numbers are sensitive. Chime says it will never ask for your full account or routing numbers, full debit- or credit-card information, PIN, username, or password. In some cases, it may ask for the last four digits of a card number. If you think your information has been exposed, contact Chime through official channels, such as in-app support or the Member Services number Chime publishes. Do not post your full numbers in comments or send them in an unsolicited message. Read Chime’s guidance on recognizing official communications.
