Its sale price is unsettled
The unofficial Mortal Shell II Database lists Tooth of Nochte at 750 Coins. A NerdsChalk walkthrough updated August 24, 2026 instead reports 2,000 Coins after what it calls Balance Patch 1, dated August 20, 2026, and says the previous value was 750. No official patch note confirming that change is established here, and the database still lists 750. Treat both amounts as reported values, not a guaranteed current price.

- Shrine of Sorrows: Complete the shrine near Mushroom Village; the map index also associates its Tooth pickup with shrine completion.
- Desolate Keep: Reach the portal dungeon from Sester Genessa in Marrow Keep. The guide says to break an illusionary wall and goblet chains, choose “Commune with Chaos,” and look for a chest after the arena.
- Sanguine Caverns: Enter from northern Gloomshade Grove and check the left side of the ramp by a statue.
- Conqueror’s Temple: The guide suggests using a geyser and checking a stone slab on the way to the Ovate’s Chamber Beacon. This is a secondary route lead, not a location confirmed by the Itemaps entries listed above.
The walkthrough also mentions a Grisha Pup reward and a possible Synaptic Vessel loot-pool result. Those claims are guide-specific and are not confirmed by the map index, so treat them as possible leads rather than guaranteed rewards.
Other Fallgrim locations are outside Fainweald
The Itemaps index covers more than the Fainweald areas relevant to this guide. It also lists Tooth of Nochte pickups at High Lord’s Terrace in the Deserted Slums and The Hag’s Path in the Ruins of Nochte, described as a cave with Nightfish. These are separate Fallgrim locations, not Fainweald map entries.

Should you sell it now?
If you need Coins, selling Tooth of Nochte is consistent with its documented purpose. If you do not need the currency immediately, you can hold it until you can check the merchant’s displayed offer; the cited sources do not establish a separate progression use that would require keeping it.
