The Takashiro treasure chest is in an unmarked park beside a small pond in east Takashiro. From Soni Circuit, travel past the entrance, turn right onto the winding road, then take the next left into the long pampas grass. The rest area and chest are on the left, southeast of Soni Circuit and southwest of the Okishinaimura Run street race.
Exact Takashiro treasure chest location
Use Soni Circuit as your primary landmark. The chest is not placed at a named destination or marked race site. It sits in a small rest area within an unmarked park, next to a pond surrounded by tall pampas grass.

- Region: Takashiro, on the northern map area just south of the snow-covered Sotoyama region
- Position: East Takashiro
- Nearest major landmark: Soni Circuit
- Nearby race: Okishinaimura Run, to the northeast
- Visual clues: A small pond, long pampas grass and a brown map patch representing the pond-and-grass area
Because the park is unmarked, the map may not display a named destination when you arrive. Look for the pond and the open rest-area layout rather than a building, race banner or large landmark.

- Reach the entrance to Soni Circuit and drive past it from west to east.
- Take the right turn onto the winding road immediately after passing the circuit entrance.
- Follow the road briefly and take the next left into the fields of long pampas grass.
- Check the left side of the grassy area for the unmarked rest area beside the pond.
- Drive directly into the treasure chest to smash it and complete the hunt.
If you miss the left turn, continue only far enough to confirm that you have left the circuit area, then turn around and retry the winding-road approach. The pond is the strongest confirmation that you are in the correct spot.

Why the chest may not appear on your map
This hunt is part of the Series 5 Week 2 Festival Playlist, using the clue “Follow the Photo Clue to Discover the Treasure!” Seasonal Treasure Hunts are Festival Playlist activities, so the chest is not treated like a permanent collectible.
The official Treasure Map downloadable content is therefore not a solution for this hunt. The Xbox listing prices the map at $2.99 and says it reveals hidden collectibles in the main game and expansions, but specifically excludes Seasonal Collectables featured in the Festival Playlist. For this Takashiro event, manual navigation from Soni Circuit is required.

Seasonal hunt versus permanent collectible maps
| Option | Best for | Map support | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Takashiro Festival Playlist hunt | Current Series 5 Week 2 seasonal objective | Use the photo clue and landmarks; the official Treasure Map does not reveal it | No separate map purchase stated |
| Official Treasure Map DLC | Hidden collectibles in the main game and expansions | Reveals eligible permanent collectibles | $2.99 on the 2026 Xbox listing |
That distinction explains why buying or activating the permanent Treasure Map will not place a marker for this chest. If the seasonal activity is no longer active in your Festival Playlist, its availability can also depend on the current playlist rotation rather than on your map settings.

You reached Soni Circuit but cannot see the pond
Make sure you passed the circuit entrance west to east before turning right. The required road is winding, and the next left leads into the pampas grass. Searching around the circuit itself will not reveal the chest.

You found long grass but no chest
Use the pond as the deciding clue. The correct grassy area contains the unmarked rest area on the pond’s side. If there is no pond, return to the winding road and take the next left rather than exploring deeper into unrelated fields.
The chest is visible but does not break
Approach at driving speed and hit it with the car’s body. A direct collision should smash it; stop-and-reverse maneuvers can help if the vehicle catches on the uneven ground or vegetation.
