The Ruined Homestead marker is smaller and easy to miss, so zoom in if you do not see it at the default view. Some players describe the spot as the southeast part of Blue Gate; both descriptions point to the same farm area beside Olive Grove.

Getting an in-game camera

Completing the photo objective
Once you have the camera, the steps are short:
- Equip the in-game camera before you travel to the Ruined Homestead.
- Go to the farm area beside Olive Grove on Blue Gate.
- Find a farmland house. PC Gamer’s guide says any of the main farm buildings around the homestead appears to count, so you do not need to hunt for one specifically named house.
- Aim at the building and take the photo using the camera controls. The sources do not list the exact keys or buttons, so check the game’s control settings if the prompt is unclear.
When the objective does not register
- No camera in inventory: the photo cannot be taken. Confirm you have the camera before leaving your base or hideout.
- Photo taken at the wrong building type: try a different main farm building in the same area rather than a fence, shed-style structure, or outlying object.
- Cannot see the marker: zoom in on the Blue Gate map near Olive Grove.
