On the ASTRO A50 Wireless Gen 4, the Dolby On / Source Audio control is on the headset; it is separate from the EQ button. To check the current setting, look at the base station: a white headphone icon means Dolby On, while a white star means Source Audio Passthrough On. If you have an older A50, the control may be on its MixAmp TX instead, so identify your generation first.
Find the control for your A50 generation
The control layout is not the same across A50 generations. The Gen 4 quickstart guide shows a Dolby On / Source Audio control on the headset. Gen 1 and Gen 2 manuals instead identify the right button on the MixAmp TX as the Dolby Headphone button. Logitech’s Gen 5 product information describes PLAYSYNC and platform switching, but does not identify the Gen 4-style switch; use the manual for your specific Gen 5 model rather than assuming its controls match Gen 4.

For Gen 4, consult the quickstart diagram if you are unsure which headset control to use. The guide distinguishes the Dolby On / Source Audio control from the EQ button, which cycles EQ presets. Do not use the EQ button as a substitute for the Dolby control.
Read the Gen 4 base-station indicator
The Gen 4 guide’s indicator key gives these meanings:

The star is labeled as Source Audio Passthrough On; the guide does not label it “Dolby Off.” Use the stated status rather than inferring a different mode name.
Dolby On is not the same as Dolby Atmos
The Gen 4 headset control switches between the documented Dolby On and Source Audio Passthrough states. Logitech discusses Dolby Atmos separately on its Gen 4 product page, including a two-year activation offer specified for Xbox. The quickstart guide does not say that pressing the headset control activates Dolby Atmos. Atmos setup is a separate platform-and-software matter; follow the current official instructions for the device you use.

If you cannot find the control
- Confirm the generation. Check the headset or base-station model information and match it to the corresponding manual; do not apply a Gen 4 diagram to a Gen 1, Gen 2, or Gen 5 unit.
- For Gen 4, use the headset control shown in the quickstart guide. Keep it distinct from the EQ button.
- Check the base-station display. A white headphone icon indicates Dolby On; a white star indicates Source Audio Passthrough On.
- If your unit’s layout differs from the guide, consult its matching manual. The guide establishes the labeled control and indicator meanings, but not that every regional or production revision has an identical physical layout.
