Levi’s UK places the collaboration in its past limited-edition drops and marks that drop sold out. That page is useful evidence that the launch was limited, but it does not prove that every size, color, or garment is unavailable in every country. 1. Open the regional Levi’s product page
Use the country selector on Levi’s site or search for the complete product name. For the T-shirt, the precise phrase “Levi’s x Princess Mononoke San & Wolf Tee” and style code A55520000 are more reliable than a broad search for “Princess Mononoke shirt.” For the jeans and shorts, include “501 ’93 Straight” or “501 Shorts” in the query.
2. Select size and color before reading the stock message
Availability is variant-specific. A page may show a general product image while the selected waist, inseam, shirt size, or color is unavailable. Choose the exact combination you would purchase and record the displayed status. If the page offers shipping and pickup separately, inspect both; one method can be unavailable while the other remains possible.
3. Use store pickup or store availability
Levi’s customer-service guidance says an online-out-of-stock item may still be available in a shop. Use the product page’s store-pickup or store-availability option, enter your location, and check nearby stores individually. Do not assume that a “find in store” result reserves the item. Levi’s advises confirming by phone before traveling, so call the store and ask staff to verify the exact style, size, and color.

4. Turn on “Notify Me If in Stock” when it is offered
If the product page displays a “Notify Me If in Stock” control, submit an email address for the specific variant. Levi’s says that when this control is absent, the item has sold out and is not expected to be restocked. A notification is an alert, not a reservation: open the message quickly, confirm the selected variant, and complete checkout while stock is still shown.
5. Check neighboring regions only if they can legally ship to you
French, UK, US, and Italian Levi’s pages can show different products or statuses. A listing in another country is not useful unless that site accepts your delivery address, displays the correct currency and duties, and offers a return path that works in your jurisdiction. Do not interpret a product page in one country as proof of global availability.

What can the Donguri Republic pop-up provide?
VIZ announced a Donguri Republic pop-up in Torrance, California, running from June 23 through December 31, 2026. The announcement calls the shop the official Studio Ghibli merchandise store and says the location will feature more than 400 officially licensed items, including Princess Mononoke merchandise.
That is a useful official-shopping lead, not confirmation of a clothing source. The announcement does not name a Levi’s garment, apparel SKU, size range, or replenishment schedule. If you plan a trip, contact the location or check its current announcements first and ask specifically whether clothing is on hand. The “more than 400” figure refers to the entire pop-up assortment, not to Princess Mononoke apparel.
What does Maison Ghibli actually establish?
Maison Ghibli says it is the official Studio Ghibli merchandise store for Europe and the UK and works directly with Studio Ghibli as a manufacturer and distributor for Europe. Its Princess Mononoke category can therefore be a sensible place to look for licensed film merchandise in those regions.

However, a Princess Mononoke category is not evidence that the store sells the Levi’s collaboration or any clothing at all. Confirm that the specific page describes a garment, lists your size, and can ship to your address. If the only available products are figures, home goods, accessories, or stationery, they do not replace the sold-out apparel.
How to buy a resale item without mistaking it for an official listing
Resale may be the only practical route for a discontinued size, but a marketplace listing is independent of Levi’s. Levi’s states that it does not manage third-party sellers and cannot guarantee their products’ authenticity. Treat “official,” “deadstock,” and “100% authentic” as seller claims requiring scrutiny, not as verification.

Start with the exact garment name and, for the T-shirt, style code A55520000. Compare the listing’s front and back artwork, label placement, care label, stitching, buttons or shanks, and overall color with the official product photographs. The 501 ’93 jeans should be consistent with the documented Ashitaka artwork, sky print, dark green stitching, and San-mask embossed shanks. The 501 Shorts should show the documented San and Moro artwork and film-inspired details.

Screen the seller and transaction terms
- Review the seller’s transaction history, feedback pattern, location, and time in business.
- Request clear photographs of tags, care labels, interior seams, hardware, and every printed graphic.
- Ask for purchase evidence or provenance, while recognizing that a receipt can also be altered or unrelated.
- Check measurements, stated condition, odor or damage disclosures, and whether the item has been washed or repaired.
- Read the return policy before paying. A no-return transaction leaves you carrying the authentication risk.
- Use payment protection where available and keep the listing, messages, and photographs.
These are risk-reduction checks, not proof. Only Levi’s or an authorized seller can establish an official retail channel; a convincing tag or photograph cannot guarantee that a particular second-hand garment is genuine.

- Be cautious of copied product photography, missing style information, misspelled film or character names, and unusually vague material descriptions.
- Do not treat a marketplace’s search result, “official” badge, or seller-written title as Studio Ghibli or Levi’s authentication.
- Ask who manufactured the garment and where it was originally purchased; avoid listings that refuse basic photographs or provenance questions.
A lower price is not evidence of a counterfeit, and a high price is not evidence of authenticity. Judge the complete record: channel, seller, garment details, condition, and return protection.
