1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe Witcher 3 has seven commonly counted barbers in the base game and three more in the Blood and Wine expansion. They let Geralt change his haircut and facial hair; they do not provide combat upgrades or other services. The base-game barbers are in Vizima, Kaer Trolde Harbour, Svorlag, Claywich, two Novigrad districts and Oxenfurt. Blood and Wine adds a named salon in Beauclair, plus barbers at the Tourney Grounds and Basane Farm. A few are locked behind a rescue or local quest, so arriving in a settlement does not always mean the chair is immediately usable.
Every barber at a glance
The table shows the locations, expansion requirements and the names that are documented. Several barbers are identified only by their settlement or district in the available references, so no invented names or street directions are included.

The seven-versus-three count is a commonly reported guide tally rather than a statistic published by the game’s developer. The location overview is documented by The Official Witcher Wiki, while the expanded count and several unlock details are also reported by Gamepur’s hairstyle guide.

Vizima: Cledwyn, the Imperial barber
Cledwyn is the named barber associated with Vizima. The expanded location guide identifies him as the Imperial barber. If you are changing Geralt’s appearance while handling the Vizima portion of the story, this is the barber to look for in that hub rather than searching the larger Northern Realms settlements. His presence is part of the base-game list; no separate rescue condition is reported for using him.

Kaer Trolde Harbour: Sjusta
Sjusta is the named barber at Kaer Trolde Harbour on Skellige. The harbour is a practical stop when you are already moving through the Kaer Trolde area, and the barber offers the same core appearance function as the other standard barbers: hair and beard changes. The overview identifies the harbour, not a more granular street address, so use the harbour marker and inspect the local buildings rather than relying on an invented map coordinate.
Svorlag
Svorlag has a barber listed in the village. The available location reference does not provide a personal name or a detailed building description. Treat this as a settlement-based destination: travel to Svorlag, then look for the barber interaction in the village. It is a base-game service and does not require Blood and Wine.
Claywich
Claywich’s barber is unnamed, and a reported access condition matters here: the barber must first be freed from a bandit cage. If the barber is missing when you first inspect the village, the absence is not necessarily a bug. Search the surrounding area for the caged captive and complete the rescue; the barber can then become available. This condition comes from the secondary location guide, so it is best treated as a guide-reported unlock rather than a developer-published rule.

Novigrad: Gildorf district
One unnamed barber operates in Novigrad’s Gildorf district. Novigrad is large enough that the district label is important: searching another quarter can make the barber seem absent even though the service is available elsewhere in the city. The source identifies Gildorf but does not establish a precise street-by-street route or a unique menu for this barber.
Novigrad: The Bits district
A second Novigrad barber is listed in The Bits. This is a separate location from the Gildorf barber, giving you two appearance-service stops within the city. Both are unnamed in the references, and neither is documented as having a superior haircut selection. Use the district names shown on your map and check the local barber icon or interaction prompt.
Oxenfurt
Oxenfurt has another unnamed base-game barber. The location overview confirms the settlement but does not supply a precise address, coordinates or special service menu. If you are in the Oxenfurt area, this is the relevant local stop for changing Geralt’s hair or beard without returning to Novigrad.
Blood and Wine barber locations in Toussaint
Beauclair, Epona Square: A Cut Above Hairdressing Salon
The most distinctive Toussaint option is A Cut Above Hairdressing Salon in Beauclair’s Epona Square. It is operated by Jean-Louis Ludovic and is tied to the quest Of Sheers and a Witcher I Sing. The salon’s dedicated reference confirms its Beauclair location and quest association at A Cut Above Hairdressing Salon.

Jean-Louis is not necessarily usable the moment you reach the square. The expanded guide reports that he becomes available after Geralt rescues him during the quest. That same guide reports a specific reward: Jean-Louis can provide the Queen’s Pageboy haircut after the rescue. Because the Queen’s Pageboy detail comes from a secondary guide rather than the developer’s pages, regard it as guide-reported information if the style does not appear in your version or save.
Tourney Grounds
The Tourney Grounds barber is unnamed and has an extra activity: he also plays Gwent. The dedicated page lists the hairstyles and beard styles offered there, along with that location’s prices. See Barber (Tourney Grounds) for the documented service list. The references do not establish that the Tourney Grounds barber is cheaper, better or more complete than every other barber; the useful distinction is the location and the Gwent option.
Basane Farm
The Basane Farm barber appears after Geralt frees the location from the werewolf. Before that event is resolved, the barber may not be present or interactable. Once available, the barber provides the hairstyle and beard choices documented on Barber (Basane Farm). The page lists the available styles for this barber, but the references do not support a claim that Basane Farm has a universally unique catalogue.
What a Witcher 3 barber actually offers
Haircuts
Barbers change Geralt’s hairstyle through a menu of preset looks. Examples documented in the general overview include loosely gathered hair, shaved sides with a ponytail, long and loose hair and the Elven rebel cut. The menu is cosmetic: changing hair does not alter Geralt’s abilities, armor statistics, signs or quest outcomes.

Beard and facial-hair grooming
The same interaction handles facial hair. Listed examples include clean-shaven, a neat goatee, a short-trimmed full beard, mutton chops and mustache variants. You can use the barber to switch between these looks rather than waiting for natural growth. The service is appearance-only.
Prices and menu differences
Do not assume one price applies across the map. The general location page presents prices in ranges for several styles, while the Tourney Grounds page gives prices for its own menu. The available references do not provide a complete, location-by-location price table or prove that every barber carries every style. Check the on-screen price before confirming a change, especially when comparing a named salon with a village barber.

CD Projekt Red’s official free-DLC announcement identifies the Beard and Hairstyle Set as content available from various barbers in the game world: Download all released Free DLCs for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt now!. This confirms the DLC’s barber-based delivery, but it does not mean that every haircut is automatically present in every barber’s menu.
The developer’s rewards page gives a narrower, specific promise for the Rabble-Rouser hairstyle: after you claim the reward, it appears in the style list at any barber. The availability statement is documented at The Witcher 3 rewards. If Rabble-Rouser is missing, verify that the reward was claimed on the relevant account and that the game has synchronized the reward before concluding that a barber is unavailable.
Unlock checklist when a barber is missing
Use the condition that matches the location rather than repeatedly fast-travelling to the same marker.
- Claywich: locate and free the barber from the bandit cage, then return to the village.
- Beauclair salon: start and progress Of Sheers and a Witcher I Sing; Jean-Louis is reported to become available after his rescue.
- Basane Farm: complete the event that frees the farm from the werewolf, then check for the barber.
- All other listed locations: confirm you are in the named settlement or district, inspect nearby interiors and look for the interaction prompt. The references do not document additional special requirements for Vizima, Kaer Trolde Harbour, Svorlag, Novigrad’s two districts, Oxenfurt or the Tourney Grounds.
These steps also explain why a total-count guide and your current save can appear to disagree: the barber may be counted in the world while still being locked by a local event.
Choosing the most convenient barber
There is no documented quality ranking. Choose by travel and access instead:
- In the base game: use Cledwyn in Vizima, Sjusta at Kaer Trolde Harbour, the Svorlag or Oxenfurt village stops, Claywich after its rescue, or either Novigrad district depending on your current quest route.
- In Toussaint: use Beauclair’s salon when you want the named, quest-linked location; the Tourney Grounds when you also want its Gwent game; or Basane Farm after its werewolf event is complete.
- For Rabble-Rouser: any barber should show the reward hairstyle after it has been claimed, according to the official rewards page.
None of the cited references establishes map coordinates, a universal price advantage or a barber-exclusive gameplay benefit beyond the documented quest and activity associations. Follow the named region or district and rely on the in-game interaction rather than unsupported street directions.
How the count and evidence should be read
The seven base-game and three Blood and Wine figure is a practical community count. The location and menu information comes mainly from community-edited Official Witcher Wiki pages, supplemented by a secondary guide; the developer’s pages are the primary sources for the Beard and Hairstyle Set and Rabble-Rouser reward. That distinction matters when a guide reports a precise unlock, such as Claywich’s cage, Jean-Louis’s rescue or Basane Farm’s werewolf event: use the condition in-game, but do not treat it as an official published statistic.
The Bottom Line
For the complete barber network, visit the seven base-game locations—Vizima, Kaer Trolde Harbour, Svorlag, Claywich, Gildorf, The Bits and Oxenfurt—and the three Blood and Wine locations in Beauclair, the Tourney Grounds and Basane Farm. All provide cosmetic hair and beard changes; Claywich, Jean-Louis and Basane Farm require the reported rescue or quest conditions first.
