Built In’s August 27, 2026 list names 47 employers with cybersecurity opportunities across technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, media, consulting, and other sectors. Treat it as a directory of companies to investigate—not confirmation that any particular vacancy is still open. Check the employer’s careers site for the current role, qualifications, location, and work arrangement.

What kinds of cybersecurity work do these employers list?

Cybersecurity is a broad job category, not one standard role. Built In’s examples include incident response, cybersecurity engineering, and security analysis, alongside more specialized work such as security architecture, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, cloud security, DevSecOps, and digital forensics. The duties and seniority can differ substantially even when job titles sound similar.

Examples across the list

  • General Motors: examples range from early-career cyber incident handling to senior cybersecurity engineering.
  • Rapid7: examples include cyber intelligence analysts, penetration testers, security researchers, and security architects.
  • Comcast: examples cover security operations center (SOC) work, engineering, DevSecOps, AI security, and vulnerability management.
  • Sierra Space: systems security work includes incident response and digital forensics.

These examples describe the range of work highlighted in Built In’s article; they do not establish that each role is currently open.

How do location and remote options vary?

Availability depends on the specific listing. Built In’s examples include Visa opportunities in the United States and internationally, including Bangalore and Dubai; PagerDuty roles across the United States, Australia, Canada, Chile, Portugal, and the United Kingdom; and some Comcast positions described as fully remote or based in Atlanta, Plano, or Philadelphia. These examples are not a guarantee of present-day openings or eligibility in those locations. Confirm the permitted work location and remote arrangement in the live employer posting.

What qualifications should applicants expect?

Requirements depend on the job, level, and employer. One example in Built In’s article seeks experienced security engineers with relevant professional certifications and familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud security vulnerabilities. That is a role-specific example, not a requirement shared by all 47 employers. Read each posting for its stated experience, technical skills, certifications, and location eligibility before applying.

How to use the list without relying on stale openings

  1. Choose a role family: narrow your search to work such as incident response, security engineering, analysis, penetration testing, or cloud security.
  2. Search the employer’s careers site: use the company name and role keywords to find its current listings rather than assuming a directory entry points to a live vacancy.
  3. Check the actual posting: confirm that the role is open and review its title, responsibilities, qualifications, seniority, location, and remote or hybrid terms.
  4. Apply through the current listing: follow the application instructions on the employer’s careers page, since openings and eligibility can change.
