To find crypto jobs beyond general job boards, combine specialist crypto job boards, startup and professional networks, employer career pages, and role-specific policy or ecosystem channels. Pick a few that fit your work, location, and employment preference, then verify each opening on the employer’s official site before applying.
Start with crypto-specific job boards
Specialist boards can make it easier to search by Web3 role, skill, chain, location, or remote status. Their size and focus vary, so choose for relevance rather than the biggest advertised total. A May 2026 comparison by web3.career describes the following options; its characterizations are the publisher’s assessments, not independent quality ratings.

| Board | Potential fit | May 2026 snapshot reported by web3.career |
|---|---|---|
| web3.career | Broad search, with role, skill, chain, location, remote-work, and benefits filters | 74,665 live listings |
| Cryptocurrency Jobs | Broad, startup-oriented listings | 15,000+ in the comparison’s broad-query snapshot |
| CryptoJobsList | Another broad specialist source | Approximately 89 new listings per week |
| Crypto.jobs | According to the comparison, relatively sales- and business-development-heavy | Approximately 3,590+ |
| SailOnchain | Described as a smaller, vetted source | 1,842 active listings |
| Web3Vacancy | General Web3 job discovery | Approximately 2,400+ |
| Cryptogrind | Freelance or contract opportunities | 2,256 listings |
These are dated, self-reported snapshots from a comparison published by a site that also operates one of the boards. Counts can change weekly, and they measure different things: for example, CryptoJobsList’s figure is new weekly posts, not its total active listings. Cryptocurrency Jobs has shown different totals in other snapshots. Don’t treat the figures as independently audited, directly comparable, or current after May 2026; check each live board instead.

The comparison identifies Degen Jobs as DeFi-focused and Hired3 as another option for protocol and DeFi searches. It points policy, governance, and advocacy candidates toward the Blockchain Association’s network board, and freelance candidates toward LaborX as well as Cryptogrind. The comparison also includes NoDesk, Jobboardcrypto, and CryptoJobs.com among active sources. Board listings and descriptions can change, so check that a source still serves your role and preferred work arrangement.

Search beyond engineering
Crypto companies hire for more than software development. The role taxonomy visible on web3.career includes community, legal, marketing, product, research, sales, and security, alongside engineering. Search using the work you do as well as crypto-specific terms: a relevant opening may use a conventional title rather than “Web3” or “blockchain.”
Use startup and professional networks as discovery channels
Crypto employers also recruit through broader networks. Search LinkedIn Jobs, startup-focused Wellfound, and YC Work at a Startup if you are interested in companies backed by Y Combinator. Try combinations of role titles, skills, employer names, and terms such as “crypto,” “blockchain,” or the relevant ecosystem. Apply location and remote filters, and set alerts where available.

- Tap once to manage your entire crypto wallet across 90 blockchains - no USB cables or Bluetooth, no batteries, no setup. Access 14,100+ coins & tokens, DeFi, NFTs, and staking instantly from your phone
- Smart backup: Use your second Tangem Wallet as your Backup keys with end‑to‑end encryption; no more papers, pictures. If one card is lost, the remaining can still restore full access, with an optional seed phrase available for advanced users.
- Engineered to last up to 25 years: Waterproof (IP69K), shockproof and tested for extreme temperatures from −25°C to 50°C. A durable cold wallet with long‑term protection and independently audited security.
- Trusted by 6 million users worldwide - buy, sell, swap, stake, and spend cryptocurrency directly. The secure offline storage wallet designed for how people actually use crypto wallets
These channels complement specialist boards: they can surface roles an employer advertises through its professional or startup presence, rather than first appearing on a crypto-only board. A search alert is a discovery aid, not confirmation that a vacancy remains open.

If you have target companies in mind, check their official careers pages directly. The May 2026 comparison names Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Anchorage, Chainalysis, and Circle as examples of companies that post openings on their own sites. That list is illustrative, not a current hiring list or a complete directory.

Use the employer page to confirm that a role is still open, its location and work-authorization requirements, and the correct way to apply. A 2025 Web3 job-market methodology describes collecting job posts from specialist platforms as well as company recruiting systems such as Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Breezy, SmartRecruiters, and Comeet. Those systems host openings across many sectors; finding a posting there does not by itself establish that it is crypto-related.
Look to policy, protocol, and ecosystem channels for narrower roles
Policy, advocacy, and governance candidates can check the Blockchain Association’s careers network. For protocol or DeFi work, the comparison highlights Degen Jobs and Hired3. Candidates focused on a particular ecosystem can also monitor official foundation and protocol careers pages and their official contributor channels.

Verify that a recruiter and opening are connected to the real project before sharing personal information. A community post alone does not prove a vacancy is legitimate. The sources identify role-specific boards and official career pages, but do not establish a comprehensive list of trustworthy Discord servers or other community channels.

Build a focused search routine
- Set your constraints. Write down your role family, seniority, location and work-authorization limits, remote preference, and relevant chain or ecosystem.
- Choose two or three sources. Combine channels that cover your needs: for example, a technical candidate might use a specialist board and an ecosystem source, while a policy candidate might add an association careers page. Freelancers can include a contract-oriented board.
- Save targeted searches. Use specific role and skill terms, then revise them when you see employers using different titles. Turn on alerts where the service offers them.
- Confirm each opening with the employer. Visit its official career page before applying, and record the role, date checked, location, source, and application status.
- Compare the job, not just the board. Check location eligibility, employment type, compensation transparency, seniority, required skills, and whether the position is still open.
Recruiting steps depend on the role, seniority, project, and location. CryptoJobsList describes possible processes that include screening, technical assessments or coding challenges, and interviews with technical or non-technical teams; that sequence is an example, not a universal hiring process.
How to judge a discovery channel
- What does its count mean? Distinguish active listings from new posts per week, and note when the figure was collected.
- How broad or curated is it? A large inventory may require more filtering; a narrower source may be more closely matched to a role.
- Does it serve your job family? Look for your function, skills, industry niche, or ecosystem rather than assuming every board is equally useful for every candidate.
- Does its geography fit? Check remote eligibility, location limits, and work authorization on the actual vacancy.
- What work arrangement does it support? Separate permanent roles from freelance and contract opportunities.
- Can you verify the opening? Prefer a clear employer identity and an application route confirmed through official company channels.
The sources do not independently measure board quality, application success rates, or scam prevalence. Treat any board as a way to discover leads—not as proof that a job is current or genuine.
