Understand the warranty before you need it
Warranty language is especially important when buying through an outlet. - the receipt required to make a claim.
Do not describe a factory-blemished item as “fully new” in a resale listing or when making a claim. The condition disclosed at sale can affect what support is available.

What about Amazon and other marketplaces?
A marketplace search can reveal Ryobi tools that are not visible at your local Home Depot, but a search result is not proof that the seller is authorized or that the item is covered by the manufacturer in the same way as a normal retail purchase. The available information does not verify a particular Amazon listing, current price, seller authorization or marketplace warranty treatment.
If you use a marketplace, inspect the individual offer rather than relying on the product title:

If you already own the Ryobi tool, repair may be better than replacement
