Sony’s US recommended retail price for the PS5 Pro is $899.99, effective April 2, 2026. PlayStation Direct is an official place to check, but its US product page showed the console out of stock when checked on October 7, 2026. PlayStation’s official buy page also directs shoppers to online retailers; no specific retailer’s live stock or price at MSRP was verified. Check the seller and final checkout total before ordering.
Where to check for a PS5 Pro at retail price
Start with Sony’s PlayStation Direct PS5 Pro listing and the official PlayStation US buy page. PlayStation Direct is a first-party purchase route; the buy page provides a “Buy PS5 Pro” link and says consoles are also available through online retailers.

When checked on October 7, 2026, PlayStation Direct displayed “Not in stock? Please check back later.” That is a snapshot of Direct only: it does not establish whether any other store has the console or when Direct will restock. Sony’s statement that the PS5 Pro was sold through participating retailers at launch dates to November 7, 2024, and does not confirm current availability.
No live stock or MSRP listing at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, GameStop, or another named third-party retailer was verified. Use PlayStation’s retailer route to find stores, then inspect each store’s current product page rather than treating a retailer name as proof of stock.

What counts as retail price?
Sony announced the US recommended retail price as $899.99, effective April 2, 2026, in its March 27, 2026 price announcement. The PlayStation Direct listing displayed $899.00 at the time checked, which does not match the announced recommended price. Check the current listing and checkout total; do not silently treat the page’s displayed amount as Sony’s announced MSRP.
A listing above the recommended price is not a retail-price offer simply because it appears on a familiar store’s site. Verify who is selling the console—particularly whether it is the retailer itself or a marketplace seller—and compare the total at checkout. Taxes, bundles, and seller-specific offers can change what you pay.
Compare listings before you buy
For each live offer, check these details on the seller’s own page:
- Price: Compare the console’s price with the dated regional recommended price below, and check the final checkout total.
- Seller: Identify the seller of record, not just the website hosting the listing. A marketplace offer may come from a third party.
- Availability: Confirm that it is in stock and whether delivery or local pickup is available for your location.
- What is included: Distinguish a console-only listing from a bundle, and verify each advertised item in the listing.
- Returns and warranty: Read the terms shown by that seller. They were not established for specific retailers here.
Check the console and accessory details
PlayStation Direct describes the PS5 Pro as an all-digital console with 2 TB of storage and no built-in disc drive. The disc drive and vertical stand are sold separately. If you want to play discs, confirm the exact add-on model and compatibility before buying; do not assume a console listing includes either accessory.
Sony’s November 7, 2024 launch announcement described a 2 TB SSD, DualSense wireless controller, and pre-installed Astro’s Playroom. That is historical launch information, not a guarantee about the contents of every current bundle or retailer listing. Check the specific offer you intend to purchase.
Recommended prices outside the US
Sony announced the following regional recommended prices, effective April 2, 2026:
| Region | Recommended price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $899.99 | Sony Interactive Entertainment, March 27, 2026 |
| United Kingdom | £789.99 | Sony Interactive Entertainment, March 27, 2026 |
| Europe | €899.99 | Sony Interactive Entertainment, March 27, 2026 |
| Japan | ¥137,980 | Sony Interactive Entertainment, March 27, 2026 |
These are Sony’s recommended prices for the listed regions, not a promise that every store will charge that amount. For other territories, Sony advises checking a local retailer or PlayStation Direct where available. Local taxes, bundles, and seller status may affect the checkout total.
