For a quieter opening in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, try Wonkeeland or the edge of Cluster Coast. Choose Cluster Coast if you are hunting Cheat Codes; take the riskier central drop at Stone Sanctum for its Temple Vault, or head to Green Hill Zone if you are ready to fight early. These are tendencies, not guarantees: opponents, loot and routes vary by match, and patches can change the map.
Choose a landing spot by your goal
There is no single best landing spot for every player. Edge and balanced locations can leave more room to loot; hot or central drops trade that relative breathing room for earlier fights and specific rewards. The locations below reflect guide assessments for the Chapter 7 Season 4: Override map, announced by Epic on August 20, 2026. Check the live in-game map because updates can alter the island and its features.

| Location | Best suited to | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Cluster Coast | Cheat Code hunting and quieter edge looting | A long rotation from the far southeast |
| Wonkeeland | A lower-pressure, off-center start | Loot is scattered, and another team may still arrive |
| Latte Landing | Cleaner ranked practice | The reviewed guides offer limited specific loot and risk detail |
| Stone Sanctum | Players seeking the Temple Vault and central control | Higher early contest risk |
| Green Hill Zone | Players confident in early POI fights | High contest and third-party risk |
| Chopped Shop | A small squad wanting a smaller, quieter landing | Few buildings leave less room for teammates to spread out |
| Heatwave Harbor | Players looking for a more active southwest drop | Risk rises when the Battle Bus passes nearby |
What each location offers
Cluster Coast: hunt Cheat Codes on the edge
AllThingsHow describes Cluster Coast as a quieter looting option and claims it has more than 67 potential Cheat Code spawns. That is a secondary guide’s count, not an official Epic statistic or a promise that any particular match will produce a Cheat Code. The far-southeast position can also mean a longer trip toward the next objective or safe area.
Wonkeeland: a balanced start with room to loot
AllThingsHow calls Wonkeeland an unpopular drop, while FortniteTools categorizes it as balanced and suggests it as an option for cleaner ranked practice. The location is off-center, but its loot is scattered; expect to search more than one area and stay alert for teams rotating in. Neither guide’s assessment means the POI will be uncontested in your match.
#1 Best Overall
- GILDED TROOPER: Board the Battle Bus and drop in with Fortnite Legendary Skull Trooper (Gilded)!
- FORTNITE: 6-inch action figure is inspired by the video game Fortnite
- ARTICULATED: Feature 28 points of articulation to win any Battle Royale
- ACCESSORIES: Comes equipped with Back Bling and Harvesting Tools
- BONUS CODE: Code for virtual item included: Mecha-jolly
Latte Landing: another option for cleaner practice
FortniteTools groups Latte Landing with balanced landings and recommends it alongside Wonkeeland for players seeking cleaner ranked practice. The reviewed material establishes less about its specific loot or risk profile, so choose it for the balanced-drop role rather than on an assumed item or chest advantage.
Stone Sanctum: vault reward, central risk
AllThingsHow rates Stone Sanctum high risk because of its central position and describes a Temple Vault containing guaranteed Rare Chests. That guide claim concerns the chests, not a guaranteed safe landing, a win, or any particular item. Expect other players to have the same incentive to contest the area.
Green Hill Zone: go if you want an early fight
FortniteTools describes Green Hill Zone as a hot landing with strong early loot, high third-party traffic and a risk of several early fights. Its September 21, 2026 guide advises players who cannot handle that pressure in ranked to consider Wonkeeland or Latte Landing instead. Contest levels are editorial assessments, not official player-density data.

Chopped Shop: compact enough for a small squad
AllThingsHow describes Chopped Shop as a handful of small buildings with a chest count it considers reliable for a small squad. That compact footprint can suit a team that wants to stay close, but it offers less room to fan out than a larger location.
Heatwave Harbor: a more active southwest choice
AllThingsHow describes Heatwave Harbor as having many buildings and Cheat Codes, and rates it medium risk. FortniteTools includes it among hot drops when the Battle Bus is nearby. The bus route matters: a location that is less appealing from a distant flight can draw more competition when it is easy to reach.

- Pick the target while riding the Battle Bus. Mark the intended POI before jumping. If a hot location looks heavily contested, choose a nearby edge or another balanced landing instead.
- Land on the outside when survival comes first. Starting at a location’s edge can reduce the need to contest its center immediately and give you a chance to loot before moving inward.
- Secure a usable weapon before searching too long. Check nearby containers, then confirm your first weapon is usable and has ammunition before leaving the immediate area.
- Plan the rotation early. Keep an eye on the storm and begin moving with enough time to travel. Do not overstay just to search one more building, especially after choosing a far-edge location.
- Keep a squad together. FortniteTools recommends landing in the same building cluster and regrouping at a marked point rather than splitting across a whole city. That keeps teammates close enough to support one another if a fight starts.
- Adapt to the match’s Override rules. Epic says Override Consoles can rewrite server rules, and rare Squad Overrides reveal the claiming squad’s location. Check the current match conditions rather than assuming every opening will follow the same script.
Use current map information
These recommendations are for the Chapter 7 Season 4: Override map as described in guides reviewed through October 7, 2026. Epic’s season announcement explains Override mechanics but does not recommend a landing location. FortniteTools identifies itself as an independent fan project and notes that its editorial advice can change; AllThingsHow’s risk and loot descriptions are also guide assessments. Recheck the in-game map and recent Epic patch notes after updates, since POIs, routes, crowds and match mechanics can change.
