Which retailers have listings?
A June 25, 2026 GameSpot report found GTA VI preorder listings at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target and GameStop for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in the United States. Retail pages can change stock, prices, bonuses and estimated arrival dates, and a listing in one country does not guarantee availability elsewhere.

Does the physical GTA 6 copy include a disc?
No conventional game disc is expected. Rockstar says: “The physical version of GTAVI will contain a code that can be redeemed for the digital download of the game to support pre-load.” In practice, the retail box is a code-in-a-box package. You will redeem the code through the relevant platform account and download the game.
That means a physical preorder still requires internet access, enough storage and an account for the platform on which you redeem the code. A boxed copy is not an offline disc installation.

When can you preload GTA 6?
- November 12, 2026: digital preorders can begin preloading at local midnight, according to Rockstar’s platform support information.
- November 12, 2026: physical retail orders are expected to become available for shipping and store pickup from retailers.
- November 19, 2026: GTA VI launches.
A November 12 shipping or pickup date is not a promise of delivery on launch day. Retailers control dispatch and courier timing, so choose digital purchase if immediate launch access matters more than receiving a box.

How much does a GTA 6 preorder cost?
GameSpot reported US prices of $80 for the Standard Edition and $100 for the Ultimate Edition on June 25, 2026. Those figures are a dated US snapshot, not a universal price guarantee. Taxes, currency conversion, regional pricing, retailer changes and edition availability can alter the amount shown at checkout.

The reported listings do not establish a single cheapest preorder nationwide. Compare the final checkout total, delivery cost, bonuses and return policy rather than relying only on the headline price.

PlayStation says players who preorder any edition through PlayStation Store receive a redeemable free month of GTA+. The exact redemption terms and end date should be read on the current store page.
Rockstar has also announced preorder bonuses, but the bonus shown can depend on country, platform and edition. Confirm the bonus text attached to the exact listing before ordering; retailer promotions can differ from the publisher’s offer.

Rockstar and Take-Two document the launch platforms as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. They do not list PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch or PC as launch platforms.
Buy the version matching the console on which you will play. Digital purchases are tied to the platform account and storefront. For a physical code, Rockstar recommends buying and playing from a retailer in the same country as the platform account to reduce activation problems.
Preorder checklist
- Confirm that the listing says PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, not a different generation.
- Check whether you are buying Standard or Ultimate and read the listed contents.
- Match the retailer’s country or region to your platform account.
- For a box, expect a download code rather than a playable disc.
- Check the final price after tax, shipping and any currency conversion.
- Review the stated bonus, preload information and delivery or pickup date.
- Keep the order confirmation and do not assume “ships November 12” means arrival on November 19.
Bottom line for buyers
Use PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or Rockstar Store for a direct digital preorder and the clearest path to the November 12 preload. Choose a listed retailer if you want a boxed package, but remember that the box contains a download code. Before checkout, verify your platform, country, edition, live price, bonus and fulfillment estimate because each can change before GTA VI releases on November 19, 2026.
