No VPN is established as a reliable, DAZN-supported way to watch the service. DAZN says it does not support VPN use and recommends connecting without one. VPN providers may publish setup guides, and some independent tests report successful connections in certain regions, but neither amounts to DAZN approval or a guarantee. The “42 VPNs” in the original title were not tested or verified for this article.
What DAZN says about VPNs
DAZN Canada states: “At DAZN, we are committed to providing sports enthusiasts with an exceptional streaming experience that is fair, secure, and optimized for every user. To maintain the integrity of our platform and uphold licensing agreements, we do not support the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).” That is DAZN’s published policy, not an independent legal assessment. DAZN cites territorial licensing, fair access, security concerns related to masking location, and potential latency or reduced stream quality. Its recommendation is to access DAZN without a VPN. Read DAZN’s VPN guidance.

Why provider guides are not a guarantee
VPN companies may explain how to use their services with DAZN, but their instructions do not override DAZN’s policy. A setup guide is not confirmation that DAZN supports the connection, that a particular event will play, or that access will continue to work.
NordVPN
NordVPN’s support article is titled “DAZN doesn’t work with NordVPN” and describes VPN-related errors and playback failures as possible symptoms. It also says DAZN generally ties a streaming library to the billing address used when the account was first subscribed. NordVPN lists countries where DAZN may be usable while connected to its service, but that provider guidance is not DAZN approval and does not guarantee access for a particular account or event. See NordVPN’s troubleshooting article.

Surfshark
Surfshark’s guide, updated April 8, 2025, describes using DAZN with Surfshark and requires a compatible device and an active Surfshark subscription. It also says a separate DAZN subscription is still required; Surfshark does not provide free DAZN access. Those are Surfshark’s setup claims, not evidence that DAZN supports VPN use. Read Surfshark’s DAZN guide.
What independent VPN tests can—and cannot—tell you
Top10VPN reports testing 59 VPNs with DAZN and says most did not bypass the service’s detection systems. Its published table shows results for nine regions, although the page says 12 regions were tested overall. ExpressVPN and Windscribe are marked successful in all nine regions shown; other providers have mixed or no successes in that displayed sample. The reviewed passage does not clearly state when the tests occurred, so these results should not be treated as current, permanent compatibility guarantees or as a universal success rate. See Top10VPN’s DAZN test results.

Results can depend on region, account, and changing detection systems. TechRadar also describes streaming performance as variable over time. A test result from one publisher or region cannot establish that your DAZN account will work through the same VPN, or that it will work later. Read TechRadar’s VPN coverage.
Choose a VPN for privacy, not promised DAZN access
If your reason for considering a VPN is privacy on shared Wi-Fi or another general privacy need, assess it separately from DAZN playback. Compare supported devices, the provider’s privacy practices, the price after any promotion, and refund terms. Then use DAZN over an ordinary connection unless DAZN support gives you different instructions for your account. Do not assume a VPN will unlock another country’s catalogue, provide access to a particular event, lower a subscription price, or keep a live stream uninterrupted. VPNOnline’s 2026 analysis similarly separates general privacy use from attempts to access foreign catalogues; its promotional prices are not needed to decide whether a VPN is a DAZN-supported option. If you are travelling or DAZN will not play
Availability of events and applicable portability terms can depend on your country, destination, account, and subscription. Check DAZN’s current account terms or contact DAZN support for your specific circumstances rather than assuming that travel access is available or that a VPN is an approved workaround.
