Spend Rainbow Diamonds only when a live Scout offers the character or result you actually want and its displayed cost fits your budget. If the target is unclear, the terms are poor, or you cannot reach your intended endpoint, saving is the better decision. Scout prices, steps and guarantees change, so the active Scout screen—not an old guide or community post—is the authority.
What Rainbow Diamonds are for
Rainbow Diamonds are the premium in-game balance used in One Piece Bounty Rush for Scout-related spending. Bandai Namco’s official Web Store lists Rainbow Diamond bundles alongside scout-specific tickets, confirming that Scouts are the relevant purchase context: official Bounty Rush Web Store.

The game presents itself as a zone-capture team battle with more than 350 available characters: official game site. That size makes personal roster goals important. A character you will actually build and play can be a sensible target; a banner you enter only because it is being discussed is not automatically worthwhile. The number of characters, however, does not prove that any particular character or current Scout is optimal.
The rule that prevents most waste
Use this sequence before pressing a Scout button:
- Name the endpoint. Decide whether you want a specific character, a particular reward, extra copies or simply a chance at a useful addition. “Something good” is too vague to set a spending limit.
- Read the active Scout’s terms. Open the in-game Scout details and record the displayed Rainbow Diamond cost per step, the number of steps, featured outcomes, ticket requirements, limits and any explicitly stated guarantee.
- Set a stop point before starting. Decide the maximum number of Rainbow Diamonds you are willing to use and whether you can reach the reward you want. Do not increase the limit because an early result was unlucky.
- Compare the offer with your goal. Spend only when the target, terms and budget agree. If one of those three is missing, save.
There is no universal current price or guarantee threshold established by the official pages reviewed for this guide. Never assume that a familiar number guarantees a character. A guarantee exists only when the live Scout explicitly describes one and shows the required steps or currency.
How to judge a live Scout
Start with the reward, not the headline
Identify exactly what the Scout can deliver. Check whether the character or outcome you want is featured, merely possible, or absent. A banner can look attractive while offering no reliable path to your actual target. If you would be disappointed by most of the listed outcomes, the offer is a poor match regardless of its name or time remaining.
Read every cost and step
Use the numbers shown in your own game client. Record the Rainbow Diamond cost for each step rather than multiplying an old example from a guide. Some Scouts may use tickets, limited attempts or a mixture of currencies; treat those as part of the offer and read how each item is obtained and consumed. The official store’s listing of scout-specific tickets shows that ticketed offers are a real part of the game’s purchase ecosystem, but it does not establish the terms of any particular active Scout.
#1 Best Overall
- The whole story - Experience the one piece story from the beginning.
- incredible action - developed by koei tecmo games, the masters of the Musou action genre.
- sweet victory - Take on many enemies in huge battles from memorable moments of the anime.
- destructible environment - destroy buildings and other surrounding elements that get between you and victory.
Separate probability from certainty
A featured appearance, a boosted rate and a guaranteed reward are different things. Only call an outcome guaranteed when the Scout’s own rules say so. If the screen provides percentages, pity steps or exchange points, use those exact values and note whether they apply to one cycle, one character or the entire Scout. If no guarantee is displayed, plan as though your desired result is not assured.

Check limits and expiry
Look for daily or account limits, a final date, step resets and whether progress carries over. A countdown or remaining stock is time-sensitive. Do not treat a limit shown in a store listing or banner as a permanent game rule; it may differ by region or event.
A comparison table for two active Scouts
When two Scouts are available, fill this table from their live detail screens. It prevents a vague “better banner” judgment and keeps the comparison tied to your own endpoint.
| Comparison point | Scout A | Scout B |
|---|---|---|
| Target character or outcome | Write the exact featured result shown in-game | Write the exact featured result shown in-game |
| Displayed Rainbow Diamond cost | Use the current step-by-step cost | Use the current step-by-step cost |
| Explicit guaranteed reward | Copy the stated guarantee, or “none stated” | Copy the stated guarantee, or “none stated” |
| Tickets or other required items | Record the required currency and quantity | Record the required currency and quantity |
| Limit, expiry or reset rule | Record the live restriction | Record the live restriction |
| Your available balance | Enough for the endpoint? Yes or no | Enough for the endpoint? Yes or no |
| Fit with your roster goal | High, medium or low—with a reason | High, medium or low—with a reason |
Choose the Scout that best meets your defined goal and affordable endpoint. If neither does, there is no requirement to spend just because both are currently visible.
When spending makes sense
You have a specific roster objective
Spending is defensible when the featured character or stated reward is one you have already decided to pursue. Define why it matters to you—filling a missing role, completing a team concept or obtaining a character you enjoy—before opening the Scout. This keeps the decision based on use and preference rather than hype.

The offer states a reachable endpoint
A reachable endpoint is one you can afford under the terms currently displayed. If a Scout lists a guaranteed reward after a defined sequence and your balance covers that sequence, you can evaluate the certainty against your budget. If you can afford only the first step of a longer sequence, treat that first step as a separate chance, not as progress you are entitled to finish.
The cost is money or time you have already budgeted
Rainbow Diamonds are a premium balance. Set a personal ceiling before buying or spending, and do not use essential funds to chase a random outcome. A low-cost attempt is still a bad purchase if it breaks the budget you set for the account.
When saving is the correct choice
- You cannot name the result you want. Wait until a character or reward fits a real goal.
- The desired result is not explicitly available. Do not infer availability from a social-media image, an old tier list or a different region’s banner.
- You cannot reach the stated endpoint. If the terms require more currency than you are prepared to spend, preserve your balance.
- The Scout has no clear guarantee and many unwanted outcomes. Randomness may be acceptable for a small, defined attempt, but it is not a reason to spend without a stop point.
- You are reacting to urgency. A countdown can describe an event ending, not an improvement in value. Re-read the rewards and cost without the timer influencing the decision.
Saving is not wasted progress. It preserves the option to act when a future Scout matches your target and budget more closely.

How much should you save?
No official source in the available material establishes a universal number of Rainbow Diamonds that guarantees a character across Scouts. Community discussions sometimes recommend saving enough for a guarantee, but the cited General Q&A Megathread is old community content, not a current cost guide. Do not reuse its numerical figures as present-day advice.

- Write down the maximum endpoint shown by the Scout, if one exists.
- Subtract nothing for assumed discounts, future compensation or a lucky result.
- Spend only the amount you can lose without changing your normal play or financial plans.
- Keep the remainder reserved for a future target rather than treating every balance as available.
If the banner does not state a maximum or guarantee, choose your own fixed attempt limit and stop at it. That limit is a budgeting rule, not a claim about the odds.

Steam and mobile balances are separate
Bandai Namco states: “Rainbow Diamonds are managed separately, and are not shared between the PC and Mobile versions.” Read the publisher’s Steam information page for the platform distinction. Many other account details may be shared, but the Rainbow Diamond balance itself is not. Check which client you are using before calculating whether you can afford a Scout.

A purchase or saving plan made on mobile cannot be assumed to increase the balance you see on Steam, and the reverse is also true. If you switch platforms, verify the displayed balance in that platform’s Home or Scout screen before spending.

Web Store delivery depends on setup and region
According to Bandai Namco’s Web Store guide, Web Store items arrive when you open the app’s Home Screen, and paid Rainbow Diamonds are credited directly. Store offers vary by region, and the store is unavailable in some countries. Confirm that the store is accessible in your location and read the current offer terms before treating a purchase as available.
After buying, open the correct game client and then the Home Screen so delivery can occur. If the balance does not appear, do not immediately buy again: confirm the platform, account, region availability and transaction status first.

Common mistakes and how to recover
Using an old guarantee number
Problem: A guide or forum post gives a fixed number of Diamonds for a character. Recovery: Ignore the old figure, open the current Scout details and use only the cost and guarantee shown there. Banner rules can change.
Spending on the wrong platform
Problem: Your mobile and Steam balances do not match. Recovery: Treat them as separate balances, switch to the platform where the intended account and currency are present, and re-check the Scout before purchasing.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesConfusing a ticket with a guarantee
Problem: A ticket listing creates the impression that the desired character is assured. Recovery: Read what the ticket actually grants and whether the Scout specifies a guaranteed reward. A ticket is not a guarantee unless the in-game terms say it is.
Buying from a regional store that is unavailable
Problem: A Web Store page or offer cannot be used in your country. Recovery: Check regional availability and use the purchase method presented in your own client. Do not assume another region’s price, stock or promotion applies to you.
Chasing a result after an unlucky attempt
Problem: Previous spending makes you feel compelled to continue. Recovery: Return to the stop point you set before the Scout. Past attempts do not change the terms currently displayed or create a guarantee that is not written in the banner.
A five-minute spending checklist
- Am I on the intended platform, with the correct Rainbow Diamond balance?
- What exact character or outcome am I pursuing?
- Is that result explicitly listed in this live Scout?
- What is the displayed cost of every step I might take?
- Does the Scout state a guarantee, and what precisely does it guarantee?
- Are tickets, limits, resets, expiry dates or regional restrictions involved?
- What is my maximum spend if the first attempt fails?
- Will I still be comfortable with the decision if I receive an unwanted result?
If any answer is unclear, leave the Diamonds untouched until the information is clear. The game’s official pages provide the platform and store context, but the live in-game Scout remains the place to verify current terms.
Bottom line
Use Rainbow Diamonds for a live Scout only when its target matters to you, its displayed terms provide a realistic path to that target, and the full attempt fits your predetermined budget. Save when the result, cost or guarantee is unclear. Keep Steam and mobile balances separate, verify Web Store regional availability and delivery, and never treat an old community number as a current guarantee.
