TRIANGLE recommends them for listening rooms of 15–40 m²; its current US listing is $2,900 per pair, while a French comparison page lists €2,499. Those are market-specific manufacturer listings, not universal prices. Before buying, check your room area, where the speakers and hub will fit, whether you have power at each speaker, and whether the hub has the connections your sources need.
What the Capella 2 system includes and how it connects
The Capella 2 is not a pair of passive speakers that you connect directly to a conventional amplifier. The system consists of two powered speakers and a Stereo Hub 2. Sources connect to the hub, and the speakers communicate with it wirelessly using WiSA. TRIANGLE describes this arrangement as avoiding signal cables between the hub and speakers. It does not eliminate the speakers’ power cables: plan for power at both speaker locations as well as at the hub.

The product page lists each speaker at 200 × 380 × 315 mm (width × height × depth) and 8.5 kg. The hub measures 210 × 35 × 150 mm before its shell. In addition to the components, the US product listing describes an RF remote, protective grilles, speaker power cables and hub power supply adapters among the package contents. Contents and inclusions can vary by market or seller, so confirm what is in the specific package you would buy.

Those figures can help you compare published specifications, but they do not replace a fit check. In particular, the frequency range and amplifier power do not tell you how bass will behave in your room; TRIANGLE itself points to room acoustics as a reason for its recommended area. Likewise, a wireless link between speakers and hub says nothing about whether you can place the speakers conveniently without power access.
Is your room within TRIANGLE’s recommended size?
TRIANGLE recommends the Capella 2 for listening rooms between 15 and 40 m². The company explains that low frequencies are especially sensitive to room acoustics: in its account, they can resonate in rooms that are too small and become diluted in rooms that are too large. Treat this as the manufacturer’s guidance, not a hard technical cutoff or an independent test showing that every room inside the range will work equally well.
Room area is a useful first filter, but it does not describe everything that shapes a listening space. A room’s layout, furnishings, listening position and placement options also matter. A room with a listed area in the recommended range is not, by that fact alone, guaranteed to suit your preferences. Likewise, the published recommendation does not establish that use outside the range is impossible; it simply does not recommend a particular result there.
Measure the usable room, not just the listing
- Measure the length and width of the listening area in metres and multiply them to estimate area in square metres. For example, a 4 m by 5 m room has an area of 20 m².
- If the space is open-plan or irregular, decide which part functions as the listening room. The manufacturer’s range does not specify how to classify connected spaces, so do not treat a simple area calculation as an acoustic assessment.
- Check whether the two speaker locations and the hub location can all be reached by power. The wireless speaker-to-hub link does not remove that requirement.
- Use the 15–40 m² recommendation as a screening guide, then consider whether the speaker footprints, stands or furniture, listening position and source connections are workable in your actual layout.
The recommendation comes from TRIANGLE’s Capella 2 product page, accessed October 13, 2026. The stated rationale is about low-frequency behavior in rooms that are too small or too large; it is not a complete formula for selecting speakers. The product details do not provide a room-by-room placement plan, measurements for different room shapes, or evidence that automatic calibration can make every room suitable.
If your room falls just outside the stated range, the published guidance does not settle whether the system will work for you. Consider the actual layout and listening area, and ask a local dealer or TRIANGLE support for advice rather than treating the range as either a guaranteed pass or an absolute prohibition.

Plan speaker and hub placement before purchase
Each speaker occupies a footprint of 200 × 315 mm and stands 380 mm high before any stand is considered. At 8.5 kg apiece, each needs a stable surface or suitable stand. Leave enough practical room for the cabinets and access to their power connections. The Stereo Hub 2 is much smaller at 210 × 35 × 150 mm before its shell, but it also needs a place near power and within reach of the wired sources you intend to use.
TRIANGLE recommends its S05 stands. The manufacturer says the speaker base fits the stand’s top shelf and that the stands position the speakers at an ideal listening height. Treat this as the manufacturer’s stand recommendation, not a statement that the S05 is required or included. The cited product and regional pages do not establish whether stands are bundled with a given package or state their current price.

The available manufacturer material does not establish a universal distance from walls, a particular toe-in angle, or one correct arrangement for every room. Do not buy on the assumption that a specific wall clearance or angle is officially prescribed here. If your available positions are constrained, ask a local dealer or TRIANGLE support about your room and setup rather than relying on an unsupported rule of thumb.
Make a practical placement check
- Speaker support: Identify a stable shelf, cabinet or suitable stand for each 8.5 kg speaker, accounting for the cabinet’s 200 × 315 mm footprint.
- Power: Confirm power access at both speaker positions and for the Stereo Hub 2. The speakers still need power even though their signal connection to the hub is wireless.
- Source access: Choose a hub location that can accommodate the wired sources you plan to connect, without confusing wireless speaker communication with wireless connections to every source.
- Calibration access: Consider whether you can configure the system using an iOS device or use a Zen microphone for calibration, as described on TRIANGLE’s product page.
- Room limits: If furniture, doors or other constraints leave no workable locations, calibration should not be treated as a guaranteed substitute for a suitable physical setup.
Think of the hub and speakers as separate placement decisions. The hub belongs where it can reach its power supply and the sources you will connect; each speaker belongs where it can be supported securely and powered. WiSA handles the signal link between the hub and speakers, while the listed accessories include speaker power cables. If a room plan depends on hiding every cable or putting a speaker far from a power outlet, resolve that practical issue before ordering.
What room calibration can—and cannot—do
TRIANGLE describes the Capella system’s automatic room calibration as analyzing the listening room and adjusting reproduction. The product page says calibration is possible from iOS devices or with a Zen microphone. The Capella app also offers manual EQ. These are adjustment options that may help tailor the system; they are not a promise that calibration will overcome every room-acoustic issue, solve a poor placement choice or make any room size appropriate.

Before purchase, check which calibration method you intend to use and what you already have. An iOS device may be one route, while the Zen microphone is another method identified by the manufacturer. The product page does not establish whether that microphone is included, its current price, or its present availability. Do not add it to your budget as either a confirmed extra or a confirmed included item without checking the exact package and local seller.
Calibration is best treated as a setup feature, not a reason to skip the room and placement checks. First establish that the speakers can fit, sit securely, and receive power in sensible locations. Then use the app and the calibration method available to you, and consider the manual EQ option if you want to make further adjustments. TRIANGLE’s published description does not quantify how much correction is possible or promise a particular result.
Check every source against the Stereo Hub 2
The Stereo Hub 2 lists HDMI eARC/CEC, three optical inputs, coaxial, USB-B, USB-A, stereo RCA and a subwoofer output. It also lists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The range of connections gives buyers several ways to connect a TV, computer, CD player or other equipment, but the right fit depends on the output each source actually provides. Check the exact connection on your source and the hub before ordering; a familiar device category alone does not establish compatibility with a particular cable or output.
TRIANGLE’s assistance material provides setup tutorials for streaming and for wired sources including a turntable, TV, CD player and computer. Use the instructions for your particular source and connection. The available information does not specify details such as whether a particular turntable needs additional equipment, so verify that requirement for your turntable rather than assuming the hub’s stereo RCA input covers every configuration.
Connection checklist
- TV: Check whether your TV and planned connection use HDMI eARC/CEC or another supported output, such as optical.
- Computer: Confirm which digital or analog output you will use; the hub lists USB-B, USB-A, optical, coaxial and stereo RCA connections.
- CD player or other wired source: Match the source’s output to one of the listed hub inputs and confirm whether you need a particular cable.
- Turntable: Check the turntable’s output requirements and the relevant TRIANGLE setup instructions before assuming a direct connection will work.
- Subwoofer: The hub lists a subwoofer output. Its presence establishes a connection option, not that a subwoofer is included or that one is necessary for your room.
- Streaming: TRIANGLE’s assistance page includes streaming setup tutorials; check the current instructions and your preferred service or device before relying on a specific workflow.
When comparing this system with another active-speaker package, compare the complete signal path rather than counting connectors alone. Make a list of your actual devices, note the output each one uses, and match it to the hub’s listed inputs. Also compare whether the other system uses a hub, which wireless link it uses, whether it offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and whether it provides a subwoofer output. The product specifications identify these options, but they do not establish that every device or service will work in every configuration.

What the Capella 2 costs—and what may be extra
TRIANGLE’s current US product listing, accessed October 13, 2026, shows $2,900 per pair. The French connected-speaker comparison page, also accessed October 13, 2026, lists €2,499 for the Capella 2. These figures are separate market listings in different currencies and should not be read as a direct price comparison or as a quote for another country. Prices, stock and local terms can change; verify the current local listing and final checkout amount before purchase.
| Item | Published information | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Capella 2 pair | $2,900 per pair on TRIANGLE’s US product page, accessed October 13, 2026 | Current local price, availability, tax, shipping and the exact package contents |
| Capella 2 in France | €2,499 on TRIANGLE’s French comparison page, accessed October 13, 2026 | Current French listing and whether the particular seller’s package matches your needs |
| S05 stands | Recommended by TRIANGLE; a current price is not stated on the cited pages | Local availability, price and whether your chosen package includes stands |
| Zen calibration microphone | Named as a calibration method; a current price and package inclusion are not established on the cited pages | Availability, price and whether you need it for the calibration method you plan to use |
The US listing describes a system with two powered speakers and the Stereo Hub 2, plus an RF remote, protective grilles, speaker power cables and hub power supply adapters among the contents. That description is tied to the US product page; do not assume identical inclusions in another region or from a different seller. The French figure is useful as French-market context, not a substitute for a quote in the United States or elsewhere.
For a realistic total, start with the price of the exact pair and hub package available in your market. Then check whether the package includes the accessories you need, especially stands if you plan to use them. Add only costs confirmed by the seller, such as any separately required accessory, delivery or applicable tax. The cited manufacturer pages do not provide current accessory prices or establish that the S05 stands or Zen microphone are included.
The French comparison page is a useful reminder to compare models only within the market and assumptions shown. It lists Capella 2 at €2,499, but that price is not an exchange-rate-adjusted alternative to the US listing. For a broader comparison with another active speaker, examine the recommended room area, calibration method and any required device or accessory, the full package price, dimensions and weight, power-cable needs, and inputs and subwoofer support. These dimensions of fit matter more than treating one headline price as the whole cost.

A buying decision checklist
Before placing an order, work through these checks in sequence:
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
- Room: Calculate the listening area and compare it with TRIANGLE’s 15–40 m² recommendation. Treat the result as manufacturer guidance rather than a guarantee.
- Fit: Check the 200 × 380 × 315 mm speaker dimensions, 8.5 kg weight per speaker and the hub’s 210 × 35 × 150 mm size before its shell against your planned locations.
- Power: Confirm that both speaker locations and the hub have power access. Do not mistake the WiSA connection for a cable-free power arrangement.
- Sources: Match each intended device’s actual output to the Stereo Hub 2’s listed inputs. Check source-specific requirements, particularly for a turntable.
- Calibration: Decide whether the iOS-device or Zen-microphone method is relevant to you and check package inclusion and local availability rather than assuming either.
- Accessories: Decide whether you need stands, and verify their fit, current availability and price. TRIANGLE recommends the S05, but the cited pages do not establish universal inclusion.
- Price: Confirm the current local price and package contents with the seller. Do not convert the US and French listings into a universal price comparison.
When evaluating an alternative, apply the same checklist to both systems. A useful side-by-side comparison should state the other manufacturer’s recommended room area and assumptions, how calibration works and what it requires, the actual package price in your market, speaker and hub size and weight, power arrangements, and input and subwoofer options. If an advertised system omits one of those details, treat it as something to verify rather than assuming it matches Capella 2.
The Capella 2 is a more straightforward candidate when the room is within TRIANGLE’s recommended area, the speakers have practical powered locations, and the sources you plan to use can connect to the hub. If one of those conditions is unclear, resolve it before purchase—especially the layout, power access, source requirements and cost of any accessories you actually need.
Frequently Asked Questions
What room size does TRIANGLE recommend for the Capella 2?
TRIANGLE recommends listening rooms between 15 and 40 m². It says low frequencies can resonate in rooms that are too small and become diluted in rooms that are too large. Treat this as manufacturer guidance, not a guarantee or a hard cutoff.
Can the Capella 2 connect to speakers without cables?
The speakers communicate with the Stereo Hub 2 wirelessly using WiSA, avoiding signal cables between hub and speakers. Each speaker still needs power, so plan for power access at both speaker positions.
Are stands or the Zen microphone included?
The cited manufacturer pages do not establish that either is included in every package. TRIANGLE recommends its S05 stands and names the Zen microphone as a calibration method. Check the exact local package, availability and price with the seller.
What is the Capella 2 price?
TRIANGLE’s US product listing showed $2,900 per pair, while its French comparison page listed €2,499, both accessed October 13, 2026. These are market-specific listings, not directly comparable universal prices; check current local pricing and package details.
What devices can connect to the Stereo Hub 2?
The listed inputs include HDMI eARC/CEC, three optical inputs, coaxial, USB-B, USB-A and stereo RCA, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The hub also lists a subwoofer output. Check your source’s specific output and TRIANGLE’s setup instructions, especially for a turntable.
The Bottom Line
Before buying the TRIANGLE Capella 2, compare your listening area with its 15–40 m² recommendation, confirm power at both speakers and the hub, and check that your sources match the Stereo Hub 2’s inputs. Budget using a current local price and verify whether stands or a Zen microphone are included or sold separately. Calibration and wireless speaker communication are useful features, but neither removes the need for a workable room layout and power access.
