What does the Pocket 3 include, and what must you buy separately?
The Pocket 3 is a compact gimbal camera with a 1-inch sensor, a 2-inch rotatable touchscreen and three-axis mechanical stabilization. DJI lists 4K/120fps capability, but that frame rate is for slow-motion recording, not ordinary 4K video at 120fps. See DJI’s Pocket 3 specifications.

The essential extra is storage. DJI says the camera has no built-in storage, and its manual says footage can only be stored on a microSD card, which is not included. A charger may also be a separate purchase: TechRadar reports that one is not included with the Creator Combo, but package contents can vary by region and seller. Check the exact local listing before you compare bundle prices.
Which microSD card should you budget for?
Choose a microSD card—not a full-size SD card—with at least the speed rating DJI specifies: UHS-I Speed Grade 3. DJI’s current support list includes recommended models from SanDisk, Kingston and Lexar, with supported capacities up to 1 TB. Check the exact model and rating against DJI’s current support information before purchase.

For example, DJI lists a SanDisk Extreme Pro model described as “32GB V30 A1 UHS-I Speed Grade 3.” That is one listed example, not a recommendation that 32 GB will suit every recording plan. The available product information does not establish how much recording time each capacity provides, so choose capacity based on your own recording and file-transfer routine rather than assuming a specific number of hours.
DJI says the camera automatically splits recordings as a file approaches 16 GB without damaging quality. This file segmentation does not increase the card’s total capacity or remove the need to manage storage.

How long does the Pocket 3 battery last in practice?
DJI’s FAQ gives an operating time of 166 minutes, immediately qualifying it as a result tested at 25°C/77°F while recording 1080p/24fps (16:9), with Wi-Fi and the screen off. DJI labels the figure “for reference only.” It is a manufacturer test, not an independent measurement or a promise of runtime in other conditions. Different recording modes, screen and wireless use, temperatures and operating patterns mean your session may not match that setup. Read DJI’s operating-time FAQ with those conditions in mind.

What the Battery Handle adds
The optional Battery Handle has a built-in 950mAh battery, according to DJI’s user manual. DJI reports that a fully charged handle adds approximately 103 minutes of operating time, a 62% increase, in laboratory testing at 25°C and 1080p/24fps. Treat that as another condition-specific manufacturer result—not a guaranteed full extra charge. The handle also extends the grip and provides a 1/4-inch tripod connection. Charging speed and charger choice
DJI reports charging to 80% in 16 minutes and to full in 32 minutes using its 65W PD charger, sold separately. DJI also recommends its 30W USB-C Charger or a USB-C charger that supports PD fast charging. If fast top-ups matter to your schedule, check both the charger specification and whether it is included in the precise package you are buying; do not assume that a camera or bundle includes the 65W charger.
Standard package or Creator Combo?
TechRadar reports that the Creator Combo contains the camera, DJI Mic 2 transmitter, Battery Handle, wide-angle lens, mini tripod and carrying bag. It also reports that the microSD card remains a separate purchase and the charger is not included. These are reported bundle contents, not a guarantee for every market or merchant. Verify the local SKU and itemized listing before deciding.

The combo’s value depends on the accessories you will actually use and their local prices, not the bundle name alone. If you mainly need the camera and already own a suitable card, compare the standard package with the cost of only the add-ons you need. If wireless spoken audio, extra battery capacity, a wider view or a mini tripod will be useful, the reported combo contents may save buying those items separately—but verify that the local offer matches.

DJI lists several supported Pocket 3 accessories, but compatibility does not make every item essential. Match the accessory to the way you plan to shoot.
- Battery Handle: Consider it for longer sessions or a more extended grip; it also provides a 1/4-inch tripod connection.
- Handle With 1/4-inch Thread and Mini Tripod: Useful when you need tripod mounting or a fixed camera position. DJI says the handle and battery grip have a 1/4-inch screw hole for attaching the mini tripod.
- DJI Mic 2 Transmitter: Relevant if you prioritize wireless spoken audio. DJI says Pocket 3 can connect to two Mic 2 transmitters; see DJI’s pairing guidance.
- Wide-Angle Lens: An optional magnetic lens. DJI’s 2024 manual gives it a 108° field of view and 15mm-equivalent focal length.
- Protective Cover or Carrying Bag: DJI says the axis-lock design suits loose pockets or small bags for daily use, while recommending the Protective Cover when carrying the camera in a larger bag such as a backpack. The cover stores the wide-angle lens and Black Mist Filter, and the Mic 2 transmitter can attach to its top.
- Magnetic ND Filters or Black Mist Filter: Optional creative accessories; they are not prerequisites for basic recording.
- Expansion Adapter and Type-C to Type-C PD Cable: DJI lists these among supported accessories. Do not assume an unverified third-party cage or mount will fit or preserve every function.
DJI’s compatible-accessory information is available through its Pocket 3 support and downloads page. Use it to check the specific item rather than relying on a generic claim that an accessory fits “Osmo Pocket.”
Will Pocket 3 accessories work with Pocket 4?
Do not treat Pocket 3 and Pocket 4 accessories as automatically interchangeable. A September 2026 Digital Camera World guide reports that lower attachments such as handles and grips can connect across the two generations, but software may not recognize every function; it specifically notes that Pocket 3 may have trouble reading remaining charge from a Pocket 4 handle. The same guide says magnetic lens mounts are shared, while Pocket 4 has side pogo pins for a fill light that Pocket 3 lacks. These are editorial compatibility reports, not a guarantee for every accessory or firmware version. Check the exact generation and SKU with the manufacturer before ordering a cross-generation part.
