If you want a documented Pokémon-themed room you can investigate for a real hotel stay, start with MIMARU’s Pokémon Room collection in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Its official page lists 10 participating locations, rooms sized 38–60 m² for four to six guests, and booking links. The room design varies, and guests cannot select a specific design, so check the property, sleeping layout and live terms for your dates before booking.
Where can you book a Pokémon hotel room in Japan?
MIMARU’s official English Pokémon Room page lists 10 locations in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. These are apartment-hotel rooms rather than one single Pokémon-themed property: choose a specific hotel that fits your itinerary, then use its booking link to check your dates and room details.

The operator’s June 30, 2025 announcement of a refresh effective July 1, 2025 named the participating properties below. The current room page also lists five Tokyo, four Kyoto and one Osaka location. Treat the list as a guide to where the collection is offered, not proof that a particular room is available on your dates.

Will the room fit your group?
MIMARU states that Pokémon Rooms are 38–60 m² and accommodate four to six people. Listed sleeping arrangements include loft beds, bunk beds and four single beds. The available size, capacity and configuration depend on the room type and property, so check the specific reservation details against your party’s needs rather than assuming every room sleeps six.
What does a MIMARU Pokémon Room include?
The official description presents Pokémon throughout the room, including a large Snorlax plush in the bedroom, a dining table with a Poké Ball motif, Pokémon-themed kitchen designs with original plates and cups, and a bathroom featuring Water-type Pokémon. The bathroom description also notes a separate toilet and bathtub. These are room furnishings and design features, not items to take home.

MIMARU also lists a guest novelty set for each group per reservation: a laundry bag, drawstring bag, small purse and stickers. It is one set per group, not one per guest, and the sticker design cannot be selected.

No specific design can be selected, according to MIMARU. The page says the room design varies by type, so do not rely on a particular arrangement or visual detail unless the property confirms it for your booking. If the exact room appearance matters, ask the hotel before committing to a nonrefundable reservation.

What should you check before you book?
- Pick the city and property. Start with Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka, then choose the named MIMARU hotel that suits your itinerary.
- Match the room to your party. Confirm the capacity and bed configuration for the room actually offered on your dates; the collection’s overall stated range is four to six guests, with sizes of 38–60 m².
- Set expectations about the design. A specific room design cannot be selected, so treat the themed details as features of the collection rather than guarantees of a particular layout.
- Separate room features from take-home items. The décor, table and kitchenware are part of the room; the listed novelty set is one per group per reservation.
- Review the live checkout terms. Confirm the total price, inventory, payment requirements and cancellation deadline for your dates in the official booking flow. Those details are date-specific and are not established by the general room page.
Is every announced Pokémon-themed stay open to the public?
No. NOT A HOTEL’s September 15, 2026 announcement of a Poké Ball-shaped stay in Tomakomai, Hokkaido described a special campaign prize for Pokémon Sleep users. It said the stay would not be generally sold or open to the public during the campaign. That announcement is not evidence of regular bookable hotel inventory; any later change would need confirmation from the company.
