- General Admission: Admission is to a designated non-allocated area. At some grounds this may be a grass embankment rather than a fixed seat; places on grass banks are often first-come, first-served.
Use the map to compare the actual options for view, proximity to play and facilities. Don’t infer a seat, location or facility from the ticket category name alone.
Does the ticket cover public transport to the venue?
Not necessarily. NZC says travel is included with tickets at some venues, and details are supplied before each game. Check the event announcement and the local transport information for your match to confirm whether any fare is covered and what services or conditions apply.

What is the likely match length?
For T20 matches, NZC’s published planning guide schedules each innings for 1 hour 25 minutes, unless it ends sooner. The innings interval is usually 20 minutes and can be shortened if the first innings runs over time. These are schedule guides, not a guaranteed finish or stadium departure time; the match’s format, progress and venue schedule all matter.
How to arrange access support
NZC says every venue has options for wheelchair users and people who need assistance, but arrangements differ by ground. Request details through Ticketek while booking, and check the chosen venue’s access information. NZC’s FAQ also provides a contact route for wheelchair access, hearing difficulties and companion seating. Sort out requirements and seat arrangements before purchase where possible rather than assuming a general ticket category will meet them.

What venue rules should you check before packing?
NZC’s national venue conditions apply alongside each ground’s own entry conditions. Restrictions can include item-size limits, and the permitted or prohibited list may differ by venue. Check the current page for your venue before bringing a bag, food, drink or camera. NZC’s guidance also prohibits bringing in alcohol that was not purchased at the venue.
Service-dog users should contact the venue in advance. NZC also warns that cricket balls can reach spectator areas, so stay alert while watching play.

For children, NZC’s venue information states: “Please note that children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to gain entry into a match.” The FAQ specifies a parent or guardian over 18. Check the chosen venue’s current conditions for any additional requirements.
What if you don’t have a smartphone?
NZC recommends mobile tickets, but says people without a compatible device can select email delivery and print their tickets before the match. Delivery may follow the initial confirmation rather than arrive immediately. Follow the event’s ticket-delivery instructions, and contact Ticketek if tickets are still missing close to match day.
