Xbox FanFest is an in-person community event, but it does not follow one fixed agenda. Xbox says each stop is tailored to its location, so a city’s program may include hands-on gameplay, Xbox history, fan activities, collectibles, community gatherings, or a watch party. Ticket and registration rules also vary by city; check the official FanFest page for the specific stop before making plans.
What happens at Xbox FanFest?
FanFest brings Xbox players together for locally planned activities. Xbox’s tour announcement describes the events as a celebration of the community and notes that each location will have its own format. That means the published schedule for your city—not another stop’s lineup—is the best guide to what you can do there.

Hands-on gameplay and game demos
Some announced stops include opportunities to play. Xbox’s Seattle announcement lists hands-on gameplay. For Tokyo Game Show, Xbox promoted hands-on access to Minecraft Dungeons II on the show floor, alongside Call of Duty and other Xbox titles at FanFest Tokyo. These examples show that playable games can be part of the experience, but they do not establish that every FanFest stop will have demos or the same titles.

Seattle’s event is framed around Xbox’s past, present, and future, with history and artifacts among the announced features. Xbox also lists trivia, collectibles, fan activities, and surprises for that stop. Those details are Seattle-specific rather than a standard checklist for the entire tour.

Community and broadcast programming
Xbox describes FanFest as a chance to connect with fellow players and people behind games, with local Xbox communities at the center of the tour. Tokyo’s program also included a watch party for the Tokyo Game Show broadcast, featuring special guests Misuzu Araki and Larry Hryb. Check the selected city’s announcement for any guests, broadcast tie-ins, or scheduled activities.
Merchandise at some stops
Xbox announced an Xbox Gear pop-up shop for Seattle. Xbox Gear is its official merchandise destination, announced in August 2026, but product listings and availability can change. The Seattle announcement does not mean a shop or any particular item will be available at other FanFest events.

How to get into Xbox FanFest
There is no single entry process established for every stop. Xbox’s tour announcement directs fans to the FanFest website for city-specific information on securing a place and event details. Its August 24, 2026 tour update said tickets for every stop would be awarded through city-specific sweepstakes; a later Mexico City update described a registration process and follow-up instructions. Follow the official rules for the event you want to attend rather than assuming a universal ticket process, price, age limit, or capacity rule.
Mexico City registration example
For Mexico City, confirmed registrants received email instructions. The first 2,000 registrations were assigned QR-code attendance guidance for the October 17 session; other registrants were directed to choose a date and time subject to availability. That allocation applied to the Mexico City process and is not a FanFest-wide capacity figure.

What to verify before you go
- Whether the event uses a sweepstakes, registration, or another entry process, and its eligibility rules.
- The date, venue, session time, and any confirmation or QR-code instructions.
- Which games, activities, guests, and broadcast programming are actually announced for that stop.
- Whether the event announcement states accessibility or on-site accommodations you need.
The reviewed announcements do not establish the same accessibility provisions across all locations, so check directly with the event’s official information if you need a specific accommodation.
2026 tour dates and Seattle announcement
Xbox’s August 24, 2026 update listed Cologne for August 26, Tokyo for September 17, London for September 26, Mexico City and Sydney for October 17, Toronto for November 6, and Seattle as “more info coming soon.” On October 5, Xbox announced Seattle at MoPOP for November 12, 2026. The earlier tour announcement also included the June Los Angeles FanFest alongside the Xbox Games Showcase; Xbox described the later schedule as an eight-city tour, counting the named tour stops separately from that Los Angeles event. Because these are 2026 announcements and some dates have passed, use the live FanFest page to confirm current or upcoming stops, dates, venues, and access details.
