First identify what is missing: a deposit, a referral reward, or another promotional trade credit. They may have different requirements and records, so check the relevant transaction or offer details before taking action. For Kalshi referral credits, review the account’s Rewards and Activity records, confirm eligibility and any claim step, and check the offer’s expiration date. For deposits and other promotions, use the operator’s official instructions; the available guidance does not establish a universal wait time or recovery process.
Identify whether the missing item is a deposit or a bonus
A deposit is money you attempted to add to your account. A referral reward or trade-credit promotion is a separate benefit that may require eligibility checks, a claim, or qualifying activity. A cash-balance check alone may not show a credit that appears in a separate activity record or claim flow.

Start by checking the transaction or promotion you expected, including its terms and status in the platform’s own account pages. Do not make another deposit just to test whether a missing credit will appear.

Review the offer in Rewards
Open Rewards and check the requirements and expiration shown for your account. Kalshi says reward amounts and requirements depend on the program that applies to the account, so do not assume a third-party description gives the applicable terms.

Look for a credit or an unlock step
Check the credit record: on the web, open Activity → Credit; in the app, open Menu → Activity → Credit. A referred user’s credit may appear automatically there, or onboarding may require an “Unlock your referral bonus” step. A referring user should check the referrals area for a claim step if a reward has been issued.
Confirm referral eligibility
Kalshi’s Referral Program FAQ, published August 25, 2026, says the referred user must sign up through a valid referral link or enter a valid code during signup, or within 72 hours of account creation and before the first deposit. The account must also be fully verified through KYC. The FAQ says a code cannot be added retroactively after that window or replaced once applied.

Check the expiration date
Kalshi says referral credits generally expire seven days after issuance unless the offer specifies otherwise. Check the account’s own display for the applicable date. Under the FAQ’s stated policy, expired referral credit cannot be reissued, reinstated, or extended.
For a deposit or another promotion, use the operator’s official help
Do not apply Kalshi referral-credit rules to a delayed deposit or a different promotion. Kalshi’s Help Center separates deposits and withdrawals, programs and promotions, and support into distinct help areas. Follow the instructions for the specific issue and platform. The reviewed guidance does not establish a universal processing time or a guaranteed support remedy for missing deposits or non-referral bonuses.

Know what Kalshi referral credit can be used for
Kalshi describes referral credits as trading credit, not cash. The original credit generally is not withdrawable, although profits made using it may be withdrawable, subject to the platform’s applicable terms. This distinction matters when checking whether a reward arrived: look for the credit record rather than expecting the amount to appear as withdrawable cash.
