If your Steam Frame reservation or purchase email is missing, first sign in to the Steam account used for the signup and open the official Steam Frame product page. Steam’s October 9, 2026 update says the logged-in page now shows your expected order window. Then check the account’s registered inbox, spam or junk folders, and mail filters. A missing email does not by itself prove that your signup failed.
Start with the logged-in Steam Frame page
The most useful check is inside Steam, not in a third-party tracking service. Use the account that made the Steam Frame signup, sign in, and open the official Steam Frame product page. Steam Hardware wrote in its October 9, 2026 announcement: “You can now check on your expected order window by going directly to the Steam Frame product page while logged in to your Steam account.”

- Sign in to the original Steam account. If you have several accounts, confirm that you are using the one that completed the reservation signup.
- Open the Steam Frame product page. Stay signed in while viewing it; the account-specific status and timing are tied to your login.
- Read the displayed status and expected order window. As of the October 9 update, reservation holders may see a window of by December or in 2027. Customers shown a 2027 window were told that more detailed expected timing would arrive by January.
- Compare the page with your inbox. The page can tell you whether you have a reservation or waitlist position even when an email is delayed, filtered, or missing.
Do not treat a community post, screenshot, or another person’s date as a substitute for the status shown on your own account. Steam operates separate queues by shipping region, so another customer’s progress may not predict yours.

Reservation and waitlist are different outcomes
Steam uses two distinct queue statuses. Understanding which one applies explains why you may not have received a purchase invitation yet.

Steam says people on a waitlist do not pass customers who still hold a reservation within that same regional queue. Cancellations can move waitlisted users into the reservation queue. The October 9 update also says new people can still join the waitlist, but new signups are placed at the end in the order they join.
Know which email you are waiting for
The initial reservation or waitlist result
The first notification tells you what happened after Steam assigned queue positions. A reservation result means a unit is reserved for you; a waitlist result means no unit was initially reserved. Neither message is the same as a purchase invitation.
The later purchase invitation
Steam sends purchase emails as units become available to reservation holders. A reservation can therefore exist for some time before the purchase message arrives. The expected window on the logged-in product page is the better indicator of timing than an assumption that every reservation holder receives an immediate email.

App notifications are not established
Steam’s published materials reviewed for this process describe email and the logged-in Steam Frame product page. They do not establish that Steam guarantees a notification in the Steam mobile app or Steam client. Do not infer that a missing app alert means your reservation disappeared.
Check every part of the registered email account
After checking the product page, inspect the email address attached to the same Steam account. Search for terms such as Steam Frame, Steam Hardware, and Steam, rather than relying only on the newest-message view.
- Open the spam, junk, promotions, quarantine, and trash folders.
- Review rules, filters, blocked-sender lists, and automatic forwarding that could have diverted the message.
- Check whether the mailbox is full or rejecting new mail.
- Confirm that you can receive other messages at the address shown in your Steam account settings.
- If you use more than one inbox, verify the exact address associated with the Steam account that made the signup.
One community user reported receiving reservation and purchase messages from [email protected]. That is an individual report, not an official guarantee of the sender address or of how every provider handles delivery. You may search for that address, but do not whitelist it as proof that every future Steam Frame message will use it.

What the October 2026 timing means
Steam’s October 9, 2026 update gives reservation holders two broad displays: an order expected by December or an order expected in 2027. For the 2027 group, Steam said more detailed expected timing would be provided by January. These are account-level windows, not a promise that every customer in a displayed group will receive a purchase email on the same day.

The queues are separated into North America, the UK and European Union, and Australia. A region with faster movement may begin drawing from its waitlist sooner than another. Queue position, production allocation, cancellations, and shipping region all affect what your account shows. Use your own page as the authoritative view for your order rather than converting someone else’s regional date into a personal forecast.
Take action within 72 hours after a purchase email
A purchase email starts a short deadline. Steam’s Steam Frame FAQ states: “You’ll then have 72 hours to complete the purchase before we cancel your reservation and move on to the next person in the queue.”

- Open the message promptly and verify that it concerns the Steam account holding your reservation.
- Follow the purchase link and sign in if Steam asks you to authenticate again.
- Complete checkout before the 72-hour period ends. Treat the deadline as continuous time from the email, not as three business days.
- Save the order confirmation and any receipt after checkout.
If the deadline expires, Steam says it will cancel the reservation and move to the next person in the queue. The published materials do not promise an extension, so do not wait while trying to resolve a filtered-message problem.

When the logged-in page shows a reservation or purchase opportunity and your inbox does not, record what the page says and contact Steam Support for an account-specific discrepancy. Include the Steam account name or other identifying details requested by the support form, the email address on the account, the status displayed on the Steam Frame page, and when you first noticed the mismatch. Do not send passwords or payment details in a support ticket.
Steam’s published materials do not document a guaranteed resend route for a missing Steam Frame email, a dedicated email-recovery workflow, or a support response time. Support can therefore investigate the account, but no particular reply speed or resend outcome is established. Keep checking the logged-in page while the ticket is open.
If the page shows a waitlist position, the absence of a purchase email is normally consistent with that status: a purchase invitation is sent when a unit becomes available to a reservation holder. If the page shows a reservation but no purchase invitation, continue monitoring both the page and inbox because the invitation is a later event.
Historical signup rules that explain your queue
Steam’s FAQ describes the rules used for the 2026 signup and randomization. These are historical rules; they should not be read as proof that a new signup is currently open or that the same requirements will apply to a later product.
- The signup required a Steam account in good standing.
- The account needed a prior Steam purchase made before April 27, 2026.
- Steam allowed one signup per household.
- Applicants selected either the 256GB or 1TB model.
- Lists were randomized on September 17, 2026.
- Separate lists were created for North America, the UK/EU, and Australia.
- After randomization, changing the selected model meant giving up the existing position.
These rules can help explain why a second account or a second signup is not a safe way to recover a missing message. Creating another signup may not preserve your original place and does not replace checking the account that made the reservation.

What not to assume
- A missing message does not automatically mean failure. Steam now provides an account-level order-window check on the logged-in product page.
- A waitlist is not a reservation. Waitlist movement depends on openings and later production in the same regional queue.
- Another customer’s date is not your date. Regional lists are separate, and queue progress can differ.
- The initial result and purchase invitation are separate events. A reservation result can arrive long before the purchase email.
- An app alert is not guaranteed by the published information. Use the page and registered email as the documented channels.
- Accessories cannot recover a missing notification. The immediate issue is account status and email delivery; optional hardware is relevant only after Steam offers checkout.
Bottom line
Sign in to the Steam account used for the signup and check the Steam Frame product page first. The October 9, 2026 update makes that page the official place to see an expected window—by December or in 2027, with more detail for the 2027 group expected by January. Then search the registered inbox, including spam and filters, while remembering that community reports about a particular sender address are not guarantees. Identify whether the account has a reservation or waitlist position, contact Steam Support if the page and inbox disagree, and act within Steam’s 72-hour purchase deadline if an invitation arrives.
