If you cannot board the Frigate in ARC Raiders, first confirm that the Frigate map condition is active for your raid. During the encounter, use one of the circular drones deployed by the ship: climb or grapple onto it, interact to disrupt it, and stay aboard while it carries you upward. Once on the Frigate, register damage against a Hydra, a Vaporizer, and a Rocketeer.
The Boarding the Frigate quest is narrower than the larger Frigate event. Its listed requirements are reaching the top of the ship and damaging those three ARC types. If progress stalls, check event availability, the boarding interaction, and each objective’s registration separately rather than assuming that an optional ship puzzle or a confirmed bug is blocking completion.

Start by checking whether the Frigate is active
The ARC Frigate is described as a rotating map condition rather than a permanent feature of every raid. Before deploying, check the current map-condition display in the game and consult the official schedule if one is available. Do not rely on an old list of maps or times: availability can change with updates, and a static schedule is not established here.
If the Frigate condition is not shown for the raid you are entering, the boarding route will not be available there. Leaving the raid and repeatedly searching for a drone will not solve an inactive-event problem. Confirm the condition first, then deploy into the appropriate map.

- Open the deployment or map screen and look for the active Frigate condition.
- Check the current official schedule rather than a cached community timetable.
- Once inside the raid, verify that the encounter is present before spending supplies or trying to force an interaction.
The reported way onto the Frigate
A third-party walkthrough dated October 8, 2026 reports a specific boarding route: the Frigate deploys a circular drone that can carry a player toward the ship. The method is reported guidance, not a guaranteed description of every future build, so the interaction may look or behave differently after a patch.
- Locate a circular drone deployed by the Frigate. Look for the round, rideable device associated with the encounter rather than an unrelated ARC machine.
- Get on top of it. The walkthrough says a Grappling Hook or Snap Hook can help you reach the drone. If you are climbing, wait for a position that gives you a stable landing instead of jumping at the edge of its movement.
- Interact to disrupt the drone. The required interaction is performed while you are on the device. If the prompt does not appear, move fully onto the top surface and check that you are targeting the deployed circular drone.
- Remain aboard as it rises. After the disruption, stay on the drone while it carries you toward the Frigate. Jumping off too early can leave you below the ship and make it appear that the boarding route failed.
- Confirm that you are on the ship before working on objectives. The quest’s first requirement is to find a way on top of the Frigate. Check the quest tracker after the ride so you know the boarding step registered.
The same walkthrough recommends bringing ammunition and healing because the targets are encountered during the Frigate activity. Treat that as practical preparation, not as a stated quest prerequisite. The quest reference specifically lists a Grappling Hook among the items associated with the quest, while the walkthrough also mentions a Snap Hook; use whichever equivalent the current game build makes available.
Complete the three damage objectives
Celeste’s Boarding the Frigate quest lists four objectives. The first is finding a way on top of the Frigate. The remaining three are damage objectives, one for each named ARC type.

A third-party guide says that damage is sufficient and that you do not need to kill the targets. Because that detail is less firmly established than the target list itself, treat the quest tracker as the authority in your current build. Fire enough to produce visible damage, then pause and check whether the corresponding objective changed. Do not assume that damaging one ARC type completes another objective.

Why the target may not be obvious
The targets are reported as part of the Frigate encounter, so they may not all be in the same place or appear at the same moment. Keep the quest screen accessible and identify each machine by name before committing ammunition. If the tracker still shows one target, look for that specific ARC type rather than repeatedly attacking a target already marked complete.
Prepare without overcommitting
Bring enough ammunition to damage all three targets and enough healing to survive movement around the ship. A Grappling Hook or equivalent mobility item helps with the reported boarding route. These are sensible loadout choices, not evidence of a mandatory item list beyond whatever the in-game quest screen currently displays.
Troubleshoot a failed boarding interaction
No official support notice confirming a Frigate boarding bug or a quest-tracking bug has been identified. That means the checks below are practical troubleshooting steps inferred from the reported method, not verified bug fixes.

If no Frigate or circular drone appears, return to the deployment map and confirm that the rotating condition is active for that raid. An inactive condition is the simplest explanation for a missing encounter.

2. Use the correct drone
The reported route uses a circular drone deployed by the Frigate. If you are trying to grapple an ordinary ARC unit, a piece of scenery, or a machine from another event, the disruption prompt may never appear. Wait for the Frigate’s round device and target that object specifically.
3. Make sure your character is actually on top
Being close to the drone is not the same as standing on it. Move onto the upper surface, stabilize your position, and look again for the interaction prompt. If the hook lands on the side, reposition and try to reach the top rather than attempting to disrupt it from the ground.
4. Check the interaction state before moving away
After selecting the disruption interaction, remain aboard and watch the device’s movement. Leaving immediately can interrupt the reported ride to the ship. Wait until the drone has carried you upward and the quest tracker has had time to update.
5. Check each objective independently
If boarding completes but the quest remains unfinished, inspect the three damage entries one by one. A missing Hydra entry does not prove that the Vaporizer or Rocketeer damage failed. Return to the encounter and produce fresh damage against the specific target that remains unchecked.

6. Treat non-registration as an unresolved version issue
If the condition is active, the correct drone is used, the disruption prompt works, and a target still will not register, the available evidence does not establish a universal workaround. Record which objective failed, which game version you are running, and whether the target took visible damage. Then use the game’s current support or reporting channel instead of assuming that a community workaround is confirmed.
Do not confuse the quest with the full Frigate event
Community coverage of the Frigate discusses additional ship activities, including power cores, opening paths, cargo, extraction, and possible squad requirements. Those subjects belong to the broader event discussion, but they are not established as requirements for Celeste’s listed Boarding the Frigate objectives.
For this quest, concentrate on the four entries shown in the quest screen: reach the top, damage a Hydra, damage a Vaporizer, and damage a Rocketeer. Do not delay completion because you have not solved an optional puzzle or opened every area of the ship. Conversely, do not assume that finishing a deeper event task will automatically mark a missing damage objective complete.

The available quest guidance does not establish a universal group requirement for Boarding the Frigate. It also does not prove that every version supports an identical solo route. Use the current in-game squad and activity indicators as the authority for your raid, and avoid treating an informal claim about solo or group play as a guaranteed rule.

If you are playing with others, coordinate who is watching the tracker and who is damaging each target so that the team can tell which entries have registered. If you are alone, prioritize the boarding interaction and objective checks, but do not infer from a failed attempt that the quest itself requires a squad.

A community quest reference identifies Celeste as the quest giver and lists the following associated items and rewards. Because community pages can lag behind game updates, compare these details with the current in-game quest screen before planning a loadout or expecting a reward.

Use the quest screen as the final authority
Quest objectives, rewards, Frigate availability, and boarding behavior are all update-sensitive. The community objective list and the October 8, 2026 walkthrough provide a useful current route, but neither replaces the live game interface. Before an attempt, check the map condition. During the raid, check that the boarding objective changes. After each target takes damage, verify the matching entry.
If all four objectives are marked complete, the quest is complete even if you have not solved every larger Frigate-event mechanic. If one entry remains open, focus troubleshooting on that entry and the condition under which it failed. This separates an availability problem, a boarding-interaction problem, and an objective-registration problem instead of treating them as one unexplained failure.
