You must find three loose blocks, insert them with the block already installed, and rotate the four image sections until they reproduce the crumpled-paper drawing. If the completed image still does not open the well, the available guidance does not establish a universal reset sequence or a confirmed well-specific bug fix, so document the failure and contact Saber support.
Make sure it is the well picture puzzle
Hellraiser: Revival has two block-related interactions that are easy to confuse. The well puzzle is a visual assembly challenge beside the well. Its identifying features are a gold-colored slot containing one picture block, three empty spaces, and a piece of crumpled paper on the rim. The paper unfolds into sketches that show the correct finished image.

This is not the same as the Head-area Labyrinth route. That route uses the Genesis Configuration to raise highlighted blocks temporarily. You must activate the next highlighted interaction before the route resets, so advice about moving quickly through highlighted Genesis Configuration steps does not solve the picture-slot puzzle at the well.

If you have not reached that point, the slot may not yet be the active progression objective.

Read the clue before collecting anything
Interact with the crumpled paper on the well rim and unfold it. Treat the sketches as the reference image for the finished display, not as an optional note. The loose blocks are scattered through nearby locations, and the puzzle only becomes clear when you compare the assembled sections with this drawing.
Keep the clue visible in your mind while searching, but do not expect the pieces to be solved merely by placing them. Each block carries one section of a larger scene, and every section can be rotated independently after insertion.
Collect all three missing blocks
The block already in the gold slot is only one quarter of the completed image. Three additional blocks must be recovered. Enemies can appear while travelling or shortly after you take a piece, so clear the immediate area before assuming an item failed to spawn.

Wooden gazebo on the uphill route
Turn away from the well and follow the uphill path toward the wooden gazebo. A suspended cultist holds one of the picture blocks. Search the body and take the block before leaving the area.

Boat at the small pier
Go to the small pier and interact with the mooring bollard. The interaction draws the boat in. The block is on the boat itself; walk over to it and collect the item. Using the bollard is not the same as obtaining the block, and missing this pickup is a common reason the puzzle seems incomplete.

Children’s play park
At the children’s play park, find the cultist on the merry-go-round. Take the final picture block from the cultist, then check your inventory or objective state before returning to the well.
Do not return to the slot after finding only one or two loose pieces and assume the mechanism will reset. The intended setup requires the original block plus all three recovered blocks.

Insert and align the four image sections
Return to the gold slot and place each of the three loose blocks into an empty position. Insertion completes the four-part display, but it does not solve the puzzle. Rotate the sections individually until the visible scene matches the unfolded sketch.

Use distinctive landmarks rather than trying to count turns. The sources describing this sequence do not give a fixed number of rotations that works for every starting orientation, and they do not document a manual reset button. A block may begin in any orientation, so rotate it until its section lines up with the scene around it.

Check the joins between sections as well as the individual pictures. A section can contain the right landmark but still be rotated incorrectly if the smoke, path, or building edges do not continue naturally into the adjacent section. Pay particular attention to the H-shaped foreground, the large V-shaped opening, and the pair of towers on the bottom section.
When all four sections match the paper drawing, the well opens. Descend the ladder and collect the Statue’s Tongue piece to continue the objective.

If the well still will not open, use this order of checks
Work through the following sequence rather than repeatedly rotating random sections:

- Confirm the mechanism. Look for the gold picture slot, the installed block, three empty spaces, and the crumpled-paper sketch. If you are interacting with highlighted Genesis Configuration blocks in the Head-area Labyrinth route, you are solving a different interaction.
- Reopen the clue. Interact with the paper again and compare the actual display with the drawing. Do not rely on memory of a screenshot or on a generic block arrangement.
- Verify every pickup. Make sure you collected the gazebo block, the boat block, and the merry-go-round block. At the pier, confirm that you took the item from the boat after using the bollard; the boat arriving alone does not satisfy the collection step.
- Count the installed pieces. The slot should contain four sections in total: the original piece and all three loose blocks. If one position remains empty, the image cannot register as complete.
- Inspect each landmark. Compare the top buildings, the distant small building, the H-shaped path, the V-shaped opening, and the two right-side towers. One inverted section is enough to prevent completion.
- Check section boundaries. Rotate one section at a time and look for continuous smoke and landscape edges. Avoid changing several sections simultaneously, which makes it difficult to identify the incorrect orientation.
There is no documented universal “reset” combination. If you have not yet collected all three pieces or aligned the four landmarks, reloading will not replace the missing puzzle step. Finish the physical checks first.

If all four blocks are installed, every landmark matches the sketch, and the well still does not open, the available reports do not establish a well-specific reset procedure or a confirmed fix. Do not assume that a particular number of rotations, a secret interaction, or a guaranteed reload sequence will repair it.
Record enough information for support to reproduce the state:
- Your platform and edition of Hellraiser: Revival.
- The game version shown on the title screen or in the platform client.
- The current story objective and the point at which the well stopped responding.
- Whether the three loose blocks were collected in the gazebo, boat, and play-park locations.
- A short video showing the four aligned sections, the interaction attempt, and the objective display.
Submit that information through Saber support. In an October 8, 2026 developer response to a different progression-blocking report, Saber Help asked the player for a video and support ticket and said the issue would be escalated. That response is useful guidance for documenting a suspected progression fault, but it was not a confirmation about the well puzzle.
What the published patches and reports do—and do not—prove
Saber’s September 21, 2026 patch notes for the demo list fixes for several movement and environmental softlocks and for incorrect tutorial hints. Those notes apply to the demo and do not confirm that the released game’s well puzzle has a specific reset fix.
A launch-period review also described unrelated glitches, including an unresponsive boss that required reloading. That example shows that technical progression problems can occur, but it is not evidence that the well mechanism itself is defective or that reloading always resolves it.
Use the patch notes to confirm that your installation is current, but do not treat a demo-only fix as proof that your exact well state is supported. If the puzzle remains blocked after the documented checks, a support ticket with a video is the most reliable next step.
A quick decision guide

Once the image registers and the well opens, climb down and take the Statue’s Tongue piece. That pickup is the normal continuation; there is no additional picture-block reset step after the ladder becomes accessible.
