If Gemini is about to place an eligible agentic call, tap Cancel before it connects. If an ordinary call has already connected, Google documents no way to recall it: check your phone’s call history, contact the recipient directly if needed, then address the setting or contact detail that caused the mistake. If information was exposed through a shared chat link, delete the link and handle any copies separately.
The right fix depends on whether you used Gemini’s standard Phone integration on Android, its separately documented agentic calling feature, a message, or a public shared chat. These features have different controls and data storage. The standard Phone integration is not available in Gemini on the web or in Google Messages. Google’s Android calling instructions and its agentic calling instructions describe the differences.

First, identify what happened and whether it can still be stopped
Check the screen and call history to determine which feature Gemini used. The agentic feature is separately documented from the ordinary Gemini mobile app Phone integration. If you are unsure which one was involved, don’t assume controls or data-handling details for one apply to the other.

Reduce the chance of another wrong call
Make the recipient unambiguous
Use the person’s full saved name and specify the number type—mobile, work, or home. Check for duplicate contacts and confirm the intended number is saved correctly. Google says Gemini may default to the last app it used to call that contact, so review the selected or default phone app too. For a business, include its location or street address. These steps reduce ambiguity; they do not guarantee a correct match. Google’s calling guidance includes examples that distinguish contacts by full name and number type, and businesses by location.
Review connected apps and Android permissions
On Android, you can disconnect the Phone or messaging app from Gemini’s Connected Apps settings to prevent future use through that connection. The Google app needs Phone permission for the standard Phone integration; Contacts and Call Logs permissions may also help with matching. Removing permissions or disconnecting the app can stop related functionality. Setting names and paths can vary by Android version. Also check Gemini’s setting for calls and messages while the phone is locked. Turn it off if you do not want calls or messages to be possible without unlocking. This setting does not correct a mistaken contact selection. Turning off Gemini Apps Activity alone is not a complete block on calling: standard Gemini calls can work while Activity is off.
If Gemini shared more than you intended
For an agentic call, inspect the confirmation before agreeing
For eligible users, Google says Gemini displays the intended number and details it plans to share before the call, potentially including your name, email address, or phone number. Review each item, edit the task if needed, and tap Call for me only when the recipient and disclosure are right. Google says this feature does not share sensitive personal information such as passwords, credit-card numbers, or health information during these calls. That is a feature-specific statement, not a guarantee for every Gemini call, message, or connected-app workflow. The feature is being rolled out gradually; Google’s current eligibility and calling instructions describe its availability, including the documented US phone-number requirement.
Understand what connected-app use can involve
Google’s Gemini Apps Privacy Hub says Gemini mobile apps may process Gemini activity, if available, device calling and messaging logs, contact information, and device information and settings. It also says messages created and sent with the Gemini app are not end-to-end encrypted by Google. These statements concern Gemini mobile apps and connected-app use; they should not be treated as storage details for every kind of call.
Delete activity and records in the places they are stored
Removing an app connection and deleting Gemini activity are separate actions. Disconnecting a connected app stops future access through that connection, but does not itself delete Gemini Apps Activity. Deleting Gemini Apps Activity does not delete information an app has already received from Gemini. Google’s Privacy Hub puts it plainly: “Disconnecting an app or deleting data in a connected app doesn’t delete any data from Gemini Apps Activity.”

- Delete the relevant Gemini activity: Open Google’s activity management guidance and follow its current controls to find and delete the relevant Gemini Apps Activity entry.
- Disconnect the app if you do not want future access: Use Gemini’s Connected Apps settings. Google says, “You can disconnect or connect apps in your Connected Apps settings anytime.”
- For an eligible agentic call, separately review the local call record: Google says transcripts are sent to its servers, while audio recordings are not stored on Google’s servers; a copy of the transcript and audio is stored locally in Phone by Google call history. Delete the local record there if that is your goal. These storage details are specific to agentic calls.
- Contact the service or person who already received the information: Gemini activity deletion does not remove information already received by another app or person. Ask that recipient or service to delete its copy if appropriate.
If Gemini may remember information from a connected app, Google advises removing the relevant Gemini chats and disconnecting that app. Changes to data in the source app may take days to affect the Gemini experience. Google also says that up to 90 days of saved Google Assistant communications request history may be imported into Gemini Apps Activity for users who previously used Assistant for calls or messages; this is an import-history window, not a general retention period.

A shared Gemini chat link is public to anyone who has it and can be reshared. Delete the link, then contact any third-party site or person that reposted it to request removal. Deleting the link does not erase the chat from Gemini Apps Activity, third-party reposts, or activity from someone who continued the chat. Handle those copies separately. Report the problem and account for work or school controls
For a call issue, send feedback from the call summary or report the Gemini issue. You can also delete the relevant Gemini Apps Activity entry; for an eligible agentic call, delete the local Phone by Google call record separately if desired. Google’s public guidance does not promise that deleting activity withdraws information already received by another person or service.
If you use a work or school account, your Workspace administrator may control Gemini activity settings, so personal-account instructions may not apply. Consult your organization’s administrator if the expected activity or privacy controls are unavailable. Google’s activity management guidance covers account activity controls.
